Just tried their Quesa Tacos at Prosper's Pride in the Sky July 4th celebrations. Totally amazing, full of flavor. Consume may have been a little salty on its own but then again that is how a consume should be. The beef was very tender and with the melted cheese topped with some hot sauce, finger licking good. If you see the sign, don't go anywhere else. Stop and have yourself some.

So, after seeing and hearing so many incredible things about Jazzy's Tacos, I was finally able to try them today at Texas Food Fest and it absolutely lived up to the hype!! FYI - as of now, they don't take debit/credit cards, only cash or the apps like Cash app/Zelle/Venmo - which was totally fine for me, but in case you don't use those apps - you may want to plan ahead. ANYWAY, - I got the birria pizzadilla for my boyfriend and I to share, and it was INCREDIBLE!!!!!!! It is a multi layered quesadilla with cheese, beef, cilantro, and onions. The absolute BEST combination!! Seriously - SO much flavor, and the seasonings were all the way on point!! As you can see, they don't skimp on anything. They will HOOK YOU UP!! I forgot to get a picture of the consume since it was packaged separately, but it was fantastic and dipping the pizzadilla in it totally took it to the next level!! Customer service was also AMAZING - this is a small family-owned business, and you can tell that they truly care about their customers. Every employee I had the opportunity to talk to today was just so sweet!! Also - Jazzy is THE BEST!! So yeah - long story short, 10/10 would ABSOLUTELY recommend!

We were out at Rollertown brewery in Celina Tx and Jazzy's was here with food. They are sooo amazing. They are a family business and they do such a great job. I had the torta. It was huge. I could have easily shared with someone it was so huge. I loved it and plan to eat the other half tomorrow. The meat was juicy and the cheese was perfectly melty. The bun looked burned but it wasn't. It was piping hot and sooo good. I highly recommend Jazzy's.

Come here all the time and the food is delish!!! I recommend the tacos or quesadilla but all of their options are magnificent. Love the owners and they always greet us so warmly when we come by. The music makes a great vibe as well. The lines might be long but it's well worth the wait. The pop up shops they often come with our also great.

We were greeted by Chef Cody's wife (I believe her name is Haley?), and seated at 2-top table in the front room by the bar. We waited until the other guests arrived for the 7pm seating, and our dining experience began. Let me just start by saying that I've definitely spoiled myself, having been to several tasting menus across Dallas and a handful in other states. To be honest, this one did not live up to my expectations, unfortunately. I still give 4 stars for the overall dining experience, as the chef and his staff were very friendly and efficient, and provided a warm, welcoming environment. This was a 10-course tasting menu with 5 natural wine pairings, coming out to ~$450 for 2 people after taxes and before tip. This is a reasonable price for the DFW area. From the menu, I really liked the first few courses, especially the boneless pork rib and fermented potato bread! The panko-breaded pork was SOOO soft and tender, juicy goodness in every bite. And the potato bread with cultured brie butter was so dense, unlike any "bread" I've had before! From the entrees, I enjoyed the oyster carbonara, which had a rich taste to it - not much oyster flavor, just as the chef had described upon bringing out the dishes, but very cheesy without being overwhelming. I liked how they started and ended with tartlette - definitely enjoyed the chilled grilled asparagus one, especially with the delicate crust of the tart. Now, a few criticisms of the menu - I think there were a few too many fried pieces - the panko-fried pork followed by the fried avocado was a little heavy for me. I was a little disappointed by the aged duck breast course. I very much enjoy duck breast, but I really look for the crispy skin on top with tender meat throughout. Maybe I had a bad piece, but my duck meat pieces were very chewy, and I couldn't finish it all. The beet bordelaise was an absolute delight and added elegant flavor to the dish. I was also excited for the apple & hazelnut dessert, as I loooove hazelnut! But I thought that the koji salt was a little too salty and overpowered the apple and hazelnut pieces. I will note here as a disclaimer that I have a salt-sensitive palate, so this may not have been the case for others. The wine pairings were excellent - each wine went along with 2 courses of the menu. However, I was surprised that they did not change out the wine glass for the middle 3 wines, moving from white to orange to red wines... I would expect that in a wine tasting at a vineyard where they are trying to conserve cups/glasses for the small pours, but in a fine dining setting, I expect the glass to be changed out for each wine. I did like that they paired the sake with the two dessert courses, definitely played into my Japanese heritage. I did notice that as they were pouring the sake, the nigori had settled a bit to the bottom. I would like to see the sake being tilted a little bit before pouring so that the particles do not settle. I thought the pacing of the meal was great - very relaxed but not waiting too long between courses, and the dishes were explained thoroughly and in a timely manner. Haley had great timing as well, pouring each wine before the dish was brought out. I appreciated how she explained the rationale of why each was paired to complement the flavor profile of the dish.

To be clear, I celebrate the Denton fusion; it's one of my fave things about gems like Picone & Komodo Loco- the cuisine cannot be found anywhere else. Picone's chicken cutlets = mind blowing. The Piccata is my fave, but you really can't go wrong with any of their chicken parms. Their menu is fairly simple - no Cheesecake Factory novel to read. Check their website because they change their menu frequently. I love that they do this. Many things are staples but I've never been mad for choosing something new. Besides piccata, my partner likes the smash burger. I love the burnt carrots. Their focaccia pizza was outstanding. We like the potatoes and the Cesar salad, but they're outshined by the rest of the menu so we rarely get them. My recommendation: get a chicken parm of your choosing & one of their specials. Then share with one of your peeps. (The cutlets are the size of your head). Now let's talk staff and service. I have never ever had bad service there & have thoroughly enjoyed all interactions with staff. I feel like everyone really likes being there & cares about what they do. Go in with joy and joy will be returned to you. Ambiance: You order at the counter when you walk in. They'll give you a number and you sit wherever. It's super-casual, kinda small-ish hole-in-the-wall in the best way. It's always been doing a brisk business when we've gone. Be aware that the back room can get loud because of acoustics so keep that in mind if you're sensitive to it. There is limited onsite parking, but ton of street parking all around. I think that covers it. :) Enjoy!!

People seemed to love Picone, so we went! Interesting place. Small and casual. There is a counter at the front, and on the counter is a board which shows the menu. We were told we could take a picture of the menu with our phones, sit down and peruse it, or just go ahead and order. We ordered, were given a number card to place on our table, and the food was brought to us. MIL and I got the chicken parm, and SIL got the chicken piccata. SIL and I thought our meals were delicious. MIL said her chicken was overcooked and she didn't enjoy it. (She also didn't like that there were no printed menus, but she's 87 and likes things how she likes them.) The chicken parm comes with "Sunday Sauce," which they told me is marinara. To me, it was spicier than marinara, and I really liked it. The portions were very large, and I took most of my food home with me. I didn't notice if they offered desserts or not. In Boston we have great Italian food, and I hadn't found that in Denton - until now. This was surprisingly good food and I would definitely return.
