Fresh, great tasting food. It's like eating at Grandma's kitchen. The food is so delicious. Hummus is so good, well seasoned. Persian pickle goes so well with our food. The owner is friendly and professional. Must order mango lemonade, it's not too sweet and it has a floral scent.

Had a wonderful late lunch experience for the first time at Falafel Boy. The counter person and server was super nice and patient. We couldn't decide what to get at first. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Place was small but organized.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Everything we ordered was super yummy and will be back to try the other items.

You always get a wonderful meal here! Food is tasty and fresh. Generous portions of delicious well seasoned chicken. I'm a fan of the chicken bowl with half rice and have lettuce base. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Friendly staff and the place is nice and clean[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Chicken shawarma wrap, falafels, and dolmas w/ a couple cups of water. The food came out in a fairly timed manner, the dishes were presented nicer than I was imagining on nice square plates and the food presentation was good. The food was good, but it also didn't remind me of traditional wraps or flavors I was anticipating. While the food we ordered did come with dipped sauces - which were still good, I just wish they all came with the garlic paste / sauce (especially for the wrap). The falafels were nice appetizers / side dish. The dolmas were nice, but I have had better ones before - but it's not all the time you'd come across dolmas so I would prob order them again if I came back here just because. I would also order the falafel again if I were to return in addition to a main. Dined outside - recommend if the weather is nice! The patio is open and has places for small and an area for a large group - umbrellas for shade and an area to buss your own tables if you choose to dine in. The staff - super kind, welcoming, attentive, and made sure everything was alright. Please consider providing garlic paste w/ chicken shawarma, etc items. :D

Falafel Boy opened on Hartz in Danville and yesterday we got to try them. There is indoor and outside patio seating, order at the counter. Their menu is slightly different on price and items. (No Kefta) it was a nice cool day so we sat on the patio and had the following: Beef and lamb shawarma plate 4/5 served with turmeric rice, cabbage slaw and hummus. The hummus was good. Lamb kabobs 3.5/5 two tiny skewers of lamb with some veggies. Served with rice, cabbage slaw, hummus and pita bread. Tasted ok small portion. Babaghnoush 4/5 Huge tub portion for $8.99 with grilled pita. Lentil soup 3.5 /5 just ok Service was good. Plenty of free parking in the lot behind the restaurant. The patio side walk needs to be pressure washed. Otherwise I would bring my doggo and sit on the patio.

New favorite Mediterranean restaurant. I don't know how long falafel boy has been here but it's never popped up in my search for a new spot and I'm so happy it did now. Everything was so fresh! The fries and falafel were piping hot. Quality produce and large servings, everything tasted absolutely amazing. They clearly mark their vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options which is such a small thing to do, but makes such a big difference to those with allergy or specific dietary needs. We tried the vegan falafel bowl, vegan falafel wrap, hummus, babaghanouge, grape leaves, regular fries, and curly fries and have absolutely no criticism of anything! Love that they use quality fries and they were not soggy, also love that the cucumber, tomatoes, and onion were all obviously fresh, makes such a huge difference in the quality of the food! 10/10, can't wait to come back.

I thoroughly enjoyed this place! Salads were big and tasty! The person who helped me at the counter was super nice. Small restaurant, super clean, & had nice seating outside. I will have to come here again!

First time order, decided to go a step up from the standard, went with the sirloin skewer plate, and added two falafel. Sirloin was cooked perfectly, but a lot of gristle. Hummus, falafel, cabbage salad all very good, saffron rice great texture but a bit light on seasoning. YES... I will be back!

I've been to this location twice now and I've ordered the falafels and they are delicious! They are NOT dry and they are fried perfectly every time. Since I didn't have much of an appetite I only ordered the side order of falafels for myself and curly fries for a coworker. The sauce that comes with the falafels is delicious and you can eat it by itself. The curly fries were very good too! I will def go back again to try more items including the wraps.

I was fortunate enough to try Falafel Boys from multiple locations, but this ones quality lacked compared to the Oakland location. The prices are pretty expensive for the quantity and quality of the products. The salad was wilted and rice was crunchy. Chicken was dry. The sauces provided was nothing to special and the yogurt sauce was bland. The chicken wrap was ok, but contents were dry as well. Mind you, this was a promotional event at Music in the Park, but still not a great way to gain customers with ok food. Overall, a new quick grab n go Mediterranean restaurant located right in downtown, but quality and quantity needs to be addressed.

    Baklava and more!

We used to come here frequently before the pandemic, but for some reason stopped coming on the years since. I yearned to come back since our 4yo loves Persian-style rice and the kabobs at Santorini nearby are inconsistent - sometimes juicy and sometimes dry. With Yelp's Grubhub app, you can order for pickup and customize. Its amazing you can choose thigh or breast for chicken. Definitely get the thigh for a juicier chicken! They even let you customize the rice preparation: * The basic saffron rice is the classic white basmati rice with some saffron to give it some yellow color. This is my son's favorite and he can probably devour an entire plate. * Jewel-style adds candied shredded carrots, orange zest and pistachios for added crunch and sweetness. *Zareshk-style used barberries to add some tartness to balance out the sweet, and is another one of our favorites. Definitely will use their Grubhub ordering system going forward. Besides the awesome kabob plate, they also offer several Persian stews and desserts.

Crazy ambitious menu with pizza, burgers, wings, kabobs, wraps and many Mid East favs like falafels, dolmas, gyro and babaghanoush. I only tried a couple of items, so I do need to try a few more things eventually. Order at the counter and food will get brought out. Seems like a place popular for take-out/deliveries. On a casual lunch I was impressed by the diversity in the place, as it is downtown Hayward. Young, old and cultural garb from several cultures spotted. Service at the register was friendly, dude gave off ownership vibes. Falafel Wrap ($11/4*) Very fresh and satsifying wrap. Big, soft and puffy pita bread is filled to the brim with fresh salad-like veggies. Chopped lettuce, tomato, onions and a couple of pickled items. Stuffed also with a decent amount of fat disk of falafel and a good dousing of tahini sauce. I loved the bites for the most part as I was full without feeling weighed down for the lunch hours. The falafels had good flavor but just didn't seem as crisp as I usually prefer, didn't seem fresh out of the fryer, which the places that are known for this definitely do. I especially liked the bites more when a pickled veggie entered the bite, so I should have ordered extra...next time. Beef Kabobs ($25/4*) Got this for take-out and it was still good hours later after a reheat. Beef is in small cubes and cooked pretty well done. A bit dry but at least it was flavorful. Definitely taste more Afghan in spicing/marinade, pretty bold with lots of garlic and herbs. De Afghanan out here in the east bay is the gold standard for these types of kabobs and those are cut into bigger chunks and are juicier by a lot. Kabob plates comes with a good amount of seasoned basmati rice, a pita bread, a small green salad and a small scoop of hummus. Even tho $25 seems a bit pricey, there is enough food to justify the price. I was able to make 1.5 meals out of it with a good dinner and a small work lunch. I actually want to try a pizza here and definitely a lamb kabob. I hang out in this downtown area often, so great having another casual option in my back pocket. Yeah Buddy!!
