Stopped by here before heading off to an all day music festival. I wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised at just how good the combo plate was. The chicken and beef was cooked properly and tender. I loved the rice too. The meal didn't take long to come out. Pricing was average for Sacramento and it filled me up for the rest of the day until a very late meal after the festival. I look forward to coming back and trying their burgers. read more

OMG! I am all for supporting local businesses but my experience was terrible to say the least. Had to buy a bread with the falafel side while the menu picture showing tahini and bread with it, no tahini nor bread. The gyro was old as sparkling on my fries ....SMH!! Came here on a Friday afternoon with my mom and daughter. There wasn't anyone inside so the service was very quick and prompt. The woman who took our order was so polite and kind and has a great smile. We ordered chicken shawarma fries, a gyro, dolma, a falafel and some sodas. Their fountain machine was down at the time. The food came out quickly and was walked over to us and everything was very delicious, hot and fresh. The nice woman even turned on the tv and let my daughter watch cartoons while we enjoyed our meal. I'm surprised they're not more busy. I seen a few people come in and leave with to go orders. The guy who runs the place doesn't want business. First time in, he glared at me for ordering, slammed cooking utensils around, didn't speak to me. It's been a few months so I tried again; this time he sat in a chair behind the counter, on the phone and pretended he didn't see me standing there for several minutes. No acknowledgement, so I left. Either he doesn't want any business, or he doesn't want my business for reasons I can only guess at. Will need to get my shawarma and baklava fix elsewhere. read more

I first saw this spot advertised on Facebook with their BOGO offer, so my husband and I went on two separate occasions. It's great having a new falafel place in town and we each got a traditional gyro, which was tasty and filling. My only issue was that I was waiting around a while before the employees greeted me and there were only 2 customers in the store. I guess they thought I was waiting for my food rather than waiting for my order, but my food was on point so no complaints there. read more

It's nice portions, whatever I didn't eat I took home for leftovers! Beware the chicken wrap is spicy!! I'm pregnant and have horrible heartburn from spicy food, so I didn't eat much, but the first bite I took was delicious! Tried the falafel gyro on two separate occasions and most likely won't ever again. The falafel itself was a bit crisp on the outside and was surprisingly moist inside, and not in a bad way. But both times I tried to eat them, they were impossible to pick up and no matter what I did, everything would fall off because the pita was soggy from being saturated with way too much tzatziki. The flavors weren't anything to write home about, so they were a disappointing couple of meals. I've had good experiences at other locations and wish this one was on par with them. read more

This place and this particular location is on another level. My taste buds are so happy. You want this chicken platter. You want this rice. You want this hummus. Trust me!!! Even the sauses are amazing. Very good quality halal food & big portion size. I don't understand how this is location is better than all the other Falafel corners, but it truly is. Go see for yourself. Also the guy working there was super nice. I came in late at 9:30 & still got great customer service. Don't forget to try their hot sause. I would give 6 stars if I could. The gyro meat is my favorite and my partner gets the falafel no complaints there in that aspect. HOWEVER, don't be fooled by the food that they have advertised. A huge let down to think that I'm getting a Gyro salad with rice, tomato, onion and lettuce, you know like it's pictured but NO! When they first opened I was convinced that this would become a favorite. Unfortunately meat portions have been cut back as well as the fries. Fountain drinks are watered down. This establishment is showing signs of economic desperation. Will not return. I feel bad for them but $28 for two gyros, two fountain drinks and one order of fries before gratuity is not appropriate. Gave them a second star because they are trying but not hitting the mark. read more

I absolutely recommend this place. I'm so excited to have a local Falafel Corner and this is the best I've ever eaten. Everything I've tried so far is delicious. The chicken platter and greek salad with gyro are my two personal favorites. The staff is super friendly and warm. The restaurant is clean. Went today and we were the only customers. I see now it says closed on Sundays so you might want to update your hours. The guy working had zero personality and only spoke to answer questions and that was challenging in itself. Soda machine was not working. I see a review from 6 months ago that it was broken then as well. Ordered 2 gyros. Ours looked nothing like any of the pictures and did not taste like any gyro I've ever had. It was meat crumbles rather than strips of gyro meat. Had a weird spice flavor. Place seems clean, but really dismal and depressing inside. If the food was good I could handle the zero ambiance and unfriendly service. It was edible but in no way should it have been called a gyro. read more

Falafel corner is the place to go if you're looking for a quick halal resturant! I've gone to many Mediterranean style restaurants but the combo platter was to die for. I was passing by in Citrus Heights and saw that a Falafel Corner opened up. I already know what to expect from falafel corner from going to multiple locations in different cities. I have to commend them for being consistent in all their locations. The service at this location was super nice and the food was stellar. Food was made pretty quick too which was a plus. Not good. We had two gyros and there was barely any meat ant it was tasteless. It was mostly wilted lettuce and a couple of non ripe roma tomatoes. I woukd have to say it was the worst Gyro I have ever had in 30 years. Had high hopes for this place and will never go back. read more

Not really one to write reviews but this place is review worthy. I went in there for the first time a couple months back to support my son's girlfriend new job and man I'm so glad that I did! First impression was the restaurant was clean the staff and owners were very friendly. Absolutely love everything that I have tried so far everything has been so fresh and full of unique flavor...The sauce they use is to die for! My kids are picky eaters and they now often go up there on their own after school and I get to enjoy their leftovers. If you haven't tried it yet You definitely should read more

It's been so good to have tasty Mediterranean food so close by. This place is fantastic! Every time we go here our taste buds are left dancing. The flavor combination didn't really work for my taste. Service was fine and the food came out quickly. It also looks like they're remodeling the inside to make the space more usable.

We attended their grand opening a couple of years ago and it was awesome. Even after? We still come to this location about every-so-often. We just went again about a week and a half ago and still the service does not disappoint. The food is flavorful with great servings and the ambiance, restaurant dining area is clean, open and bright. Their froyo with a chocolate shell is delicious! And they also now serve Spanakopita! This location is in the Trader Joe's shopping plaza off Madison & Sunrise.
