NEVER going back. Brought my car in because I couldn't get a stripped drain plug out to do my oil change. I provided the oil and filter I was going to use myself, so I wasn't going expecting to pay much at all. When I pick up my car, Carl hands me a bill for $66! Considering when I had gotten a full oil change 2 years earlier from them for $45 (including the oil and filter of course) I was shocked at this amount. I reminded him that I provided the materials. All I needed was the drain plug ($7) and labor (18 minutes). Carl said the cost came from "additional" services they provided such as checking for any lights, tire pressure, fluid levels. Things I never asked them to do anyway since I do that myself. I said the price still didn't add up compared to what I've paid in the past. Carl immediately got furious and said "Fine, take the car. Don't ever come back." This stunned me. I told him my family had been coming here for 10 years and they were usually quite good to us, I just didn't understand this bill. He said an oil change was now $95 (!?) so I was getting a discount. He said, "I don't care about you, I don't need this aggravation. Get out." As a long time customer, I'm hurt. What an abysmal way to talk to someone, especially as a business owner, instead of actually justifying such an absurd charge. They're no longer transparent about pricing, so that they can rip people off, and will throw a fit when called out on it. I highly recommend Falasca's Auto Service Center in Hillsdale. I picked up a 3-inch screw in my tire. ETD had a several-hour wait, and I had no pickup available. Overpriced, unprofessional and dishonest. Will never go back. Just want to share my story. Hopefully someone will read and not make the same mistake I dropped my car off on a Sunday afternoon with an oil leak and was told to call at 8:30 min morning and an estimate should be ready. I call 8:30am Monday and the person who answers doesn't even know my car was brought in for service. So I let him know what my car was brought in for and he says they will get back to me. Still didn't hear back by 11 so I call back. I'm told they are still working on it and the other cars came in (which also annoyed me as they were clearly taking people Who came after me and servicing their vehicles befor mine) 12:30. They give me an estimate of $650 which felt high, but i wasn't sure so I asked for a better price and they said they couldn't, but I had already missed an entire day od work so I agreed with the stipulation the car is done by 5:00. They agreed I google the services that were being done to find out they were indeed overcharging. Was pissed, but my fault for not researching more first 12:45 literally 15 minutes after making an agreement they say that they have to get one of the parts from A dealership and it is going to be more expensive. I tell them they are already overcharging me I won't pay more and I'll come get my car if it's an issue. They say they'll have the owner call me Shocker, the owner doesn't call back. I call back at 1:30 cause I need to get my car somewhere else. The guy Who answer is the same one I talked to at 12:45. He's clearly mad. He agrees to honor the $650 price, but now was not promising the car would be ready at 5:00 and just by his time I could tell it was completely out of spite. He also said several times I the conversation "well we have your car" like he was implying they could hold it hostage or something...it was really weird So I replied again if they can't get the car to me at the already agreed upon time I'll come get the car. They agree to have the car by 5. Again guy on phone clearly pissed. To the credit they did have car ready by 5. I spoke with the owner when I called this time and he was much more professional than the other guy I spoke with. Thanked me for my patience etc. Then when I go to pay they add a "4% credit card fee", which just so happened to be the amount they were trying to increase the bill by on the 12:45 call. I felt like the guy was scamming me, not sure if they charge that fee to everyone or not, but It felt like bullshit. I just paid it and wanted to get out of there by that point. The least I could do is share my story. They have been in business a long time, the owner seemed like a decent guy, but i strongly suggest going someplace else. I will literally never go there again...nothing positive about the experience at all. read more

Brought my truck in to have the front brake pads and rotors replaced. Quote was for $1500.00+ When I explained I could not afford that and would have it checked elsewhere, Carl decided to charge me for a stud broken during removal of the wheel. Cost of stud = $4.00. Cost of services $65.00 Looking for a fair estimate for common repairs, I suggest looking elsewhere. 40 year resident of Hillsdale. read more

Have had good experiences here in the past but the last couple times I have had pretty straight forward repairs done on my Honda Civic, you would think I was having work done on a vintage Mercedes Benz 300SL. I spent over $550 last year to replace a wheel bearing and a lug nut...and tonight I get my car back after having needed a new alternator (a $140 part on RockAuto) & wind up getting billed for over $700 for replacement knock sensor and Alternator. My Honda is worth $2,000. Was charged double what each part was worth. I expect more flexibility & reasonable pricing from a local business that I value and try to support by sending other customers their way. But I simply do not think I can afford Falasca Service any more. read more

I wish I could put a zero . Worst mechanic ever! The guy doesn't know what he's talking about . Says he can do any work and he can't. Went there for a wheel ailment for all four tires and he only did TWO and still charged me a ridiculous price. He's overpriced and basically a cheat. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE! You're losing out. Plus he does not know to respect and talk to women . Very upset with this place. read more
