The mini golf complex offered an 18 hole inside mini golf course (Desert Dunes), an 18 hole outside mini golf course (Prairie Pines), a nice inside bar & grill (E9 Grille), a covered bar & grill with a patio (The Bunker), a bar located between the inside and outside golf courses (Halfway Hut), an ice cream bar (Ace's Ice Cream Shop), an outside patio area with games including foosball, table tennis and cornhole, five cabanas, an event room (The Puttview Lounge) and two areas for catered events. There were plenty of TVs and background music everywhere. My Mediterranean bowl ($18.00) at the E9 Grille was served in a reasonable amount of time with a smile from the cheerful server. It was very good except for the dry chicken. The prices seemed relatively high, but they did offer lunch specials. Overall, it was a very good experience.

There are only a handful of truly thriving golf clubs left in the KC Metro area and the National is top of the heap... If someone needs to ask how much it costs to become a member, this is probably not the right place for them... The clubhouse and surrounding areas are beautiful and every detail is well-designed and maintained... The course is a real challenge, it is long with plenty of trouble and blind-shots due to the rolling hills. The signature hole is #9 with a tee box perched on a cliff over 100 feet above the fairway... The right side of the fairway is guarded by a lake so be sure to hit it straight!
