Falco's is by far my favorite pizza place in Chicago, but their delivery wait is the worst. Last Friday, it took them an hour and 45 minutes! The pizza wasn't only cold, it wasn't what I ordered. But because I love their pizza so much, I told them I'd wait for another pie. I ordered my pizza at 7:23 and didn't get it finally until 10 pm. They had the nerve to ask me to return the incorrect pizza! Rude. Seeing that my family and I have been ordering from there for years, they could've done a better job at making up for their mistakes. Decent pizza if you like over saturation of oregano. Terrible customer service. The girls they've got on the phone are dumber than a sack full of doorknobs. The pizza here is delicious. The amount of ingredients put on the pizza is always satisfying. However the service they have on the staff answering the phone is horrible. Everytime I call to order a pizza I am put on hold. Every single time i have ordered for delivery it has taken double the time then promised on the phone. When I call to inquire about the pizza they rudely tell me they are busy or short staffed and it'll be there soon. I understand if they are busy. But I want a realistic time of delivery. The rudeness is also not necessary. If it wasn't for how good the pizza is I would give a one star. read more

Don't think I'll ever dine in this place again. You walk in and feel so confused because there's no sign that says to seat yourself. No one greets you, no one tells you to pick your table, no one tell you anything at all. You're just expected to figure it out yourself. We finally figured out to sit anywhere and when we did this teenage kid gave us menus and walked away without saying a word to us. We thought whatever and carried on. The menus were just a page which didn't seem like much. Our waitress was a very nice woman. We ordered our appetizers and waited. When they brought the plates out to us one of them had food still stained on it. We kindly told our waitress and she handled it for us. We ordered cheese fries, garlic bread, and mozzarella sticks. All of them were good. Then we ordered a pizza, half sausage half pepperoni. It was very greasy and the sausage was burnt. The taste was okay but it could've been better. Eventually I made my way to the bathroom. It was very old fashioned and looked like it hadn't been taken care of. The stalls were somewhat clean. When I went to wash my hands, one sink did not work and the other had very low water pressure. If it wasn't for our waitress being so kind I would've rated this place a 1 star. I called to place an order for delivery. From the start the woman in the phone was not friendly-- she should NOT be the one answering the phone. I was working at an apartment that had NO address on it, but I told the lady that I would just wait outside on the corner, I told her the intersection and that it was the only building on the 4 corners. (not a big deal, right?) instead of trying to work this problem out with me, she had a very condescending tone, asking why I don't know the address. Does it matter? The delivery guys wouldn't be able to figure it out anyway because THERE IS NO ADDRESS. Literally, the apartment is like the only one on the block. I did not order from them nor will I ever. We found this little gem after driving around Bridgeport looking for a sit down pizza joint where we could have a beer or two. We never found one and kept driving until we found Falco's. After an initial rough start, I kind of fell in love with the place. It took awhile for the waitress to take our order, and I had already made the mistake of waiting until I was well past the point of being hungry (which often transforms me from an otherwise pleasant person into a raving bitch). With $3.75 domestic pitchers on the weekend, it didn't take long for my mood to come around. The waitress was apologetic and even comped our second pitcher of beer. The pizza was really good and they weren't stingy with the toppings. My only complaint is that the place was really loud. It could have been a party but they had some neighborhood DJ blaring salsa music at 7pm. Having to shout across the table is never cool. read more

Went to dine in. We were 2 parties (we all know each other and sat together but requested 2 different checks). To make it simple, we will do party A and party B. Each party ordered the same exact pizza but with different ingredients. Party A got their pizza first. I'm in party B and was told our pizza would be right out.... waited 20 minutes. I asked the waitress what was taking so long if we ordered the same type of pizza. She stated something went wrong with the pizza and it would be right out. At the end, we got our pizza 1 hour after party A got their pizza. Why lie and say it's almost out. We ended up not paying for the pizza because it was super late. This pizza has supplanted my previous number one and is my new Favorite Pizza. I actually got a new job on the south side and this was recommended by a co-worker for delivery. I wish I had heard about this place sooner. Delivery takes a good while, but it is worth it. The reason this pie sticks out in my mind is its crust. All of Falco's pizzas share a wonderful crackery crust (kind of like a croissant or pastry crust). I love it. Sauce has a lot of flavor, they usually go crazy with the cheese, so I prefer the double dough to better support the sauce and toppings, but plain old thin crust can actually stand up to the load without getting soggy. Go with the style you like. The chicago style is actually really top notch as. I used to favor the italian garlic crust (a double layer crust with garlic and oregeno stuffed between the layers). But my latest experience with it, whoever made my pie went overboard with the garlic and seasonings, making the whole pizza quite salty tasting. But other than that hiccup, this is my go-to pizza. Unforetunately I can only order this at work, since its on the southside. So I order a gargantuan 18" and bring it home and eat leftovers all week. This stuff even reheats in the oven nice and crisp. I have been going to Falco's to many years to count. I remember being at the original one. I have had small parties at Falco's. Though after tonight, don't know if I will be coming back. Our pizza was terrible. The sauce was watery, where the cheese was sliding off. The sauce did not have the same taste. We ordered a half cheese and half sausage. Sausage was on the half cheese side, not just a piece here and there. Basically we had one roll of cheese. The bottom crust was so hard, had a hard time cutting thru it. My husband is a diabetic and needed to eat, so we ate the pizza, most of it came home. When I mentioned it to the waitress, she said she would tell the manager. The waitress came back, and said the manager said they could re-make the pizza or a coupon. We did not have the time for another pizza and we were not given a coupon either. The manager should of came to our table and talk to us. Sorry this is unaccepted. We will not be back and honestly I don't know if we will be. Our waitress was nice, I will say this. I've been ordering from here for about a year cuz the pizza is decent, but it always takes crazy long for delivery. Tonight I was told it would take an hour and ten minutes (on a boring Tuesday night). One hour 45 min later I called asking where it was. The girl said it was on the way. Another forty five minutes later I call and find out she had the wrong phone number in the first place. Not that the driver needed it cuz I gave directions to the intercom and said to dial my name. Manager told me it would take another 45 min to deliver (3+hours now) and offered me a 10$ credit on a future order. That's not even half off a small pizza. Let me start by saying I wish I could give them five stars based on my entire experience here. I can never give them five stars again because when I was a teenager I saw a roach on their counter while I was picking up my food...I didn't go back for a long time lol they seem better now...but I'm kind of iffy about it still. I have checked their health inspections online and they seem better so I am willing to order. Anyway, it's been about 8 years so I guess time fixed their issues. Moving on lol The food hasn't changed, however - it's still mouthwateringly delicious. They make the most amazing jalapeno pineapple pizza. I don't enjoy the combination from anywhere else. From Falco's it's amazing. Their cheese fries are gigantic and delicious! The same goes for their breaded cauliflower. The last time I ordered they forgot my sauce and drove here just to drop it off. 1st and last time ordering from here. They took 2 hours to deliver 1 pizza. We called several times, the lady answering said she called driver and couldn't get ahold. Then she said he was stuck in traffic. I said it's been almost 2 hours! Yeah, I understand was all she kept saying. Finally my very cold pizza gets here and driver said bad traffic. I've been ordering Falco's for my whole life growing up in Brighton Park / McKinley Park, and they always out do themselves. There are plenty of reviews here letting you know how great their food is but i needed to comment on their order presentation. Today I did not order my usual pizza order but opted to order pasta dinners for myself and my family and we were pleasantly surprised when the order arrived. Aside from the food tasting great as we have grown to know and expect; the order was impeccably packaged, labeled and delivered. I had thought i had ordered from some yuppie northside eatery, but not the case, it was from our beloved Falco's. I am a huge stickler for presentation and this exceeded my expectations. Pizza was good. Lots of cheese and toppings that I ordered. The problem was that the pizza (2 of them) stuck to the bottoms of the cardboard delivery boxes. I like a whole piece of pizza, not just the topping. It really ruined the experience. I have friends who swear by this place. A friend of mine said they forgot to sprinkle the bottom of the box with cornmeal so it wouldn't stick. I don't know if that's what they do to prevent it from sticking, but they definitely forgot something. read more

Garlic Italiano crust with sausage...the best pizza ever if you love garlic!

I normally love their giardiniera pizza, but their customer service is severely lacking. I recently tried to place a pick-up order on 7/1/16 at 5:52PM and then again at 5:53PM. A young woman picked up the phone and simply said "Falco's". I then tried ask for a pick-up order and there was no response on the other line but I could hear the staff hard at work in the background. I wasn't sure if there was a phone malfunction so I hung up and called again. The same thing happened but this time I waited. The young lady finally answered again and I asked why she had not informed me to hold or wait for a moment so I would know what was going on. She ignored my question and asked if I wanted pick-up or delivery. A simple apology would've sufficed but I just said "never mind, thanks". Never again. read more

I have been to this place maybe 3 times. The first time I went I didn't think anything of it because it was a big order for a party so I was not paying close attention to anything else but the second time I went I was a "walk in" grabbing a couple of slices for my husband and I on his lunch. They were rude. The woman that's always at the counter takes forever to come to the counter even though the door has a bell when it opens. She says what do you need instead of hello can I help you like a normal person working in the business of needing customers! For the third time is basically the one that broke the camels back and made me resort to Facebook, better business bureau and yelp! I'm not a complainer but geez these people don't even try to be hospitable on the phone or in their business. My friends were over and called and the women who answered was so rude they forgot an item on our order when I called she was like come pick it up then then she passed the phone to someone else and said deal with this lady. I was staying at a hotel at Midway airport and they had an ad with a menu in the rooms. The girl who took my order wasn't too nice but I figured she was busy since it was Sat night. They said an hour and 15 minutes for delivery, okay. I ordered extra sauce on the side and was charged for it but didn't get it. I also paid for meatballs I didn't get on my pizza which was nasty - hardly any sauce and so heavy on green olives it was like a salt lick. The other ingredients were barely there at all. I spent $35 with tip and WOULD advise others to steer clear. Delivery guy barely spoke English and didn't find out how bad until he left anyway. read more

Ive always likes this pizza. Its heavy on the salt at times but the ingredients are good. You can tell the dough is made fresh and doesnt come from a warehouse. The sausage is good quality. Thats the difference between this pizza and most other cheap places that use poor quality ingredients. read more

Called them for delivery of large pizza; was told it would be delivered in aprox 1 hour. Waited 3 hours, still no sign of the pizza. Called them again only to be told they didn't receive my order. This, by the way, is the 3rd time I had this occur when ordering pizza from them. Never again! read more
