Salad with pecans and chèvre was good, but unfortunately that was the only thing in or vegetarian order that was good. The margarita pizza was barely edible and the el fauxrizo pizza was bad. Their crust is too chewy and hard to eat, the mozzarella on the margarita was low quality, and thin crust pizza not my fave. Amaaaaaazing pizza! I love gourmet thin crust wood fire pizza, and Falora does not disappoint. We ordered the Manhattanara and Figaro, and I loved both. The Manhattanara comes with red sauce, and the gorgonzola is very strong. The Figaro has no sauce but still packs a punch of sweet and savory flavor with figs, candied walnuts, and brussels sprouts. The crust is delicious - I thought it was sourdough, but it's actually slow-fermented with flour milled in Naples (per their website). We got the pizzas to go, but the restaurant is very cute and mid-century modern. It's a little hard to get to, since Broadway is so torn up with construction right there. Talk about a pizza, this is what pizza should be. Simple yet baked to perfection. Cute little down to earth restaurant with a nice little patio outside. Who could ask for more? We came here for a birthday celebration and the pizza wasn't anything but excellent! I am so glad we drove the distance. Everything was fresh and tasty. But the best part of all was watching them put it in an authentic oven. The guy behind the counter could barely speak English; but he didn't need to as he knew what he was doing in the kitchen. (I think that's universal?!?) And the second best part of it all was the amazing crust. Crisp yet light. Chewy yet crunchy. I could just eat the crust it was that good! This family owned cozy pizza joint is nestled between the historic Sam Hughes neighborhood and Reid park area. The first thing you see when you walk in is the large hand crafted pizza oven that helps to create their yummy pies. I ordered their vegan sausage pasta as well as their vegan pizza. What ever vegan sausage they used is incredible and reminds me of the real thing! Their pies are the perfect combination of crunchy and soft. Good pizza starts with the dough, and a great sauce, excellent toppings and of course the cooking method. Everything came together perfectly and Falora did not disappoint. We ordered the margarita & the Cura pizzas. It was a cold night in January when we visited and this was the perfect locale. Good for a date night out, night out w/friends or pretty much any time. Wait staff were only ok...water not refilled, had to wait for ordering and check, not very interactive. Didn't seem to have much enthusiasm for customization or recommendations. Two of us stopped in Falora for pizza. The decision to choose this place was due to the Yelp reviews. They were right, it's delish but a bit pricy! We ordered; Cura pizza - Italian salami, tomato, mozzarella, parmigiana, kalamata olives and garlic. The crust on this has excellent flavor but maybe stretched too thin. The result is a bit of sogginess. In spite of that, the flavors are killer. I could eat this pizza every day for a year! Giardino pizza - spinach, yellow bell peppers, portabela mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, mozzarella, parmigiana & seasonings. Same flavorful crust, and a lighter veggie pizza. I'd say it could use a snappy cheese to bring the flavors forward. Very mild. Pizzas are brought out when they are done, not when all are ready. I like that. read more

I love falora! It's quaint, it's cute, and it's delicious. The crust honestly is what makes me keep coming back. Honestly can't go wrong with anything here. Secret delicious menu item: the kale salad. Maybe it's not a secret, but it's a delicious non- menu item. My go to pizza is the Cura. Just so classic. I'm currently 5 months pregnant with twins and have been craving pizza and salads. Being new to Tucson, I'm still trying to find good food places so I was excited to come across this place on Yelp with great reviews. I noticed they closed at 9p and the clock read 8:17p. I decided to order something simple since time was close and didn't want to be an inconvenience. I ordered a Margherita pizza and Caprese salad through their online website and the confirmation email said it would be ready at 8:35. It seemed quick, so I thought I would give them a little time because sometimes online orders ETA can be off. I arrive about 5 mins to close and I can tell my order wasn't ready. Apparently their online system wasn't printing out tickets and they had no idea about my order. They have an open kitchen, so the pizza cook could clearly be seen and heard. It was so bad that I just asked to cancel the order because I knew by her reaction my pizza wouldn't be made with love and care. The cashier reassured me everything was ok and they would have my order out shortly. But the pizza cook was clearly annoyed, so I asked once more to just cancel the order and not to worry about it since the order wasn't even made. However, the cashier once again said they would have it out and tried to smooth things over by explaining it's just been a busy day and my order wasn't the first to be missed due to the online system. If it weren't for her, I probably wouldn't have taken no for an answer. Not even 5 mins later, my order is ready but they didn't have basil (for a margherita pizza) so I okayed them swapping for spinach. Trust me, this review would've been so much different if the customer service wasn't what it was. Instead of apologizing to me for not having the order ready or being out of ingredients, I felt like I was the one who was apologizing. The nail in the coffin however was the pizza! The setting is nice and the food is good, but nothing wow. I thought the toppings too skimpy for the crust, which was thicker than my preference but had good taste. The salad lacked dressing, but they did have anchovies as a Caeser salad should. One strange thing, the small, stuffed, green olives. I admire the style and feel of this place. The food is delicious and the little quirks of it make it memorable. The classic oil and balsamic vinegar with the bread for appetizer is so f*%^ing die for. So simple yet SO GOOD. (Not pictured however) the water is simply fresh and I appreciate the bottle being left at the table- I hate asking for water refills. Disclaimer: I've only tried the La Cauliflora and Za Zucca vegan pizzas. I was impressed with the cauliflower purée because it truly reminded me a cheese sauce. The addition of olives was a nice touch because it added some salt flavor and toughness to the bite. The olives paired with the poblanos provided a "meatiness" characteristic which was a pleasant surprise. Were in town for the Gem and Jewelry show, we haven't been to the show for a couple of years so for the first time we decided to take the kids. My son is into fossils and minerals so this is the perfect place for him. We only had breakfast and all day we went to different shows till 6:00pm. We were famished and my kids wanted pizza (of course). I did a quick Yelp search and this place came up. It was a great little place, very clean, great customer service and they have long tables and you sit with people to your immediate left or right. I liked it, I was able to meet a couple who loves Hawaii as much as we do. They also had tables for 4 or less. I started my night with the Amber Ale, it was a nice crisp beer. We started with the Caprese Salad, it was wonderful. Big slices of mozzarella and tomatoes with lots of shredded basil with balsamic vinaigrette and olive oil. The best part was the olive tapenade spread, it made the dish burst with flavor. Then we got the Kale Salad, My husband and I were not big fans of it. They use the regular shredded kale so it was hard to eat. This salad would have been so much better if they used baby kale. It has sun dried tomatoes so it gave the salad a nice chewy tart taste. I would get it again only if they served it with baby kale. We got the Margarita Pizza. The crust was crispy and thin with big slices of mozzarella, tomatoes and whole basil leaves. The sauce tasted like just plain tomato sauce so the shredded parmesan and red pepper flakes were my friend. For our kids, we got the Cura Pizza. it has large dry salami and whole pieces of roasted garlic that was so great. it was not strong, just perfect. again, I wish the tomato had some more flavor than just tomato. For dessert, we got the vanilla bean panacotta with blackberry purée. It was divine!! It was creamy and very light and I loved chewing the little vanilla beans. Let me first state that the food at Falora is very good. As we've always ordered from Doordash, the quality has always been exceptional. However. My wife has a deathly tomato allergy. When ordering from Falora this time, she was very much interested in the Zu Zucca pizza, which on the menu doesn't list tomatoes. She called to double check no tomatoes were in the sauce, and the hostess (Lindsay I believe?) confirmed that there were no tomatoes in the sauce for the pizza. The pizza arrived and it looked (and I tasted) tomatoes in the sauce. So we called them back. The hostess confirmed once again that there were no tomatoes, and it was safe to eat. We asked her to check with the chef (now we're sounding like Karens). When she returned, she apologized that tomatoes were in fact in the sauce of the pizza we ordered. To anyone that has severe allergies, this is a major issue. Yes, it should be listed on the list of ingredients, and your entire staff should know either the main ingredients in a dish, or inquire if they're unsure. We will not be ordering from Falora again. There are other pizza houses in Tucson that have similar quality. EDIT: I've increased my review from 1 stars to 3 stars. The following morning at 5am I received an email from the owner urging to connect. His horror of the situation, the expediency in which he wanted to rectify things on their end, and the lack of pressure to retain us as a customer, but just make things right was impressive. He instilled a confidence in both myself and my wife that this anomalous situation is out of the ordinary, and as Falora has a long proven track record of success in the Tucson area, truly showcases their commitment to their customer base. This was my third visit to Falora. Comparatively speaking, the pizzas for this visit had skimpy toppings. The only issue that stood out was the really crappy waiter. He was lanky and uncoordinated and not really a good listener. He was just going through the motions and seemed depressed. Literally my favorite pizza place in Arizona. Located on Broadway and Country Club near Sushi Garden, Falora is a cozy pizzeria with the best wood fire oven pizza's I've ever had. I love the chewy texture of the crust on every pizza. They have a few patches of bitter char which compliment the sweet and tangy flavor of the tomato sauces. It has gotten a bit more expensive but still completely worth it. My current favorite one is the El fauxrizo which is kind of a mix of mexican on a pizza. It has black beans, corn, a lime avocado crema and fake chorizo. It's such a delicious Tucson twist to pizza and best of all it's guiltfree since it's vegan! I can usually have the whole pizza and still want more. I also really enjoy the cauliflower, butternut squash and mushroom pizzas. They all have their own stronger flavors depending on the types of cheese used. While Falora's menu is not extensive, everything they do is so great.
