My rib tips were so overcooked they tasted more like beef jerky. The pork was ok though. Cornbread was the only saving grace. Famous Dave's is a cute restaurant with a fun out atmosphere. The music isn't too loud, so it's a really nice place to sit, talk and eat together. There are some really good things about it. The vegetables are fresh, the drinks are good, bread is fresh and the cornbread muffin is excellent. The problem is, sometimes you go there and it's OK and other times you go there and the meat is pretty dried out. I usually have the most problem with the pork, if you don't order the pork, you're better off. Wish I could give them a better rating because I really like the concept and the atmosphere of the place and the employees are very nice. It was Father's Day and they were slammed. We waited a while, as we expected. And we also thought the food might be not quite as good as usual. Wrong! Food was excellent. But what really made it a completely great experience was Kaitlyn, the hostess, who was running around but stayed sweet and always kept her cool. Moreover, our server Lisa was incredible. She kept an eye on everything, joked around with us, kept us apprised of when our food would be out, and made us feel so very welcome. DO NOT GO HERE for your own safety and well-being! Notice how this place has more 1 star reviews than any other number? I'm not exaggerating. Take a minute to read this review and save yourself some anguish. My wife and I went here and the food was mostly bad. I got ribs which were very tough and my wife got chicken which was rubbery. The service was not bad but we couldn't get the waiters attention for a refill on drinks. I am not a complainer and I've worked in restaurants for many years so I didn't complain. That night I felt sick and my wife ended up having an "evacuation" out both ends... We wondered and suspected it was the food we had there. Fast forward to a few weeks ago my mother in law was in town and took our daughter there to eat. We warned her about our experience but she has enjoyed Famous Daves from her neck of the woods so she gave it a shot. BIG MISTAKE She got pulled pork (which is supposed to be boneless meat), right? She bit into a piece which had a small piece of bone shard in it that BROKE her TOOTH. She reported it right away to her waiter and the store manager, showing them the bone. Their response? "MeAt hAz BOneS iN iT!" They took no responsibility. Really? If you had a chicken nugget and choked on a piece of bone, would McDonalds say "Meat has bones! Sorry not sorry!" Pulled pork is not supposed to have small pieces of bone in it. Nobody would reasonably expect that. Adding insult to literal injury, they didn't even comp her meal. She came home in pain and explained the situation. We contacted both the restaurant and their insurance and they again said "meat has bones" and did not take responsibility. IN FACT their insurance said once the waiter drops the food off they are NOT responsible for anything that follows. So if they had left broken glass or poison in your food, they're not responsible!!! It's unreal. PS: I sent two emails to the store manager Damien Allgood and got no reply. The employees there have no way for me to contact anyone with any authority. PPS: I'm not kidding, but my mother in law got sick that night with the same symptoms! Food was bland, congealed, disgusting, dry, underseasoned, and just bad. The ambiance and service were fine, rustic, and not a bad place to chill, but it can't make up for how bad the food is. Sausage taste was unidentifiable, sauces at the table tasted rancid, and even if they weren't, they tasted bad, so either the recipe is bad or it's been sitting out too long. Mac and cheese, one of my favorite things to get anywhere, tasted disgusting, it had corn in it, so not recommend. I'd complain about the small portion sizes if I wasn't dying for the meal to be over with. Being slapped with a $50+ bill is a nice cherry on top. Best thing was the strawberry lemonade ($5) and the (un)seasoned steamed broccoli. Poor BBQ place, decent service, clean enough place but don't bother, having had 4 of their meat selections across two plates ordered and shared, if this is any indication of the rest of the meat quality you'll struggle to find anything good here. read more

Famous Dave's? More like famously a bitch. Our waitress "Famous" Kenzie, not only took her sweet time, not greeting us or smiling one bit but also threw our food on the table when she delivered it. Horrible service and horrible attitude. Food was good but not for the price, portions are also incredibly small so here you're paying $20 for 4 ribs with barely any meat on them, half a cup of potato salad for $8, and a small burger the size of my palm for $18. High prices for food that wasn't even good, and the service was all over the place. Out of the 5 staff members that walked by our table, not one smiled. Shittiest attitudes. The host even had the audacity to order us around as we were waiting for our check at the front desk, as you're supposed to, telling us to go sit back down and wait. Like hello? I stuck my finger in the sauce to sample it and it tasted like it was on it's way to spoiling. Yikes!!! The Cake was very fresh. Overall the meal was almost to my liking. This service on the DoorDash app you have to watch because you order and at the end of making payment you may find some of your items deleted such a disappointment. My husband had a platter of some type with brisket and bbq chicken and the same sides. He was pleased. I wasn't really impressed with mine. I was caught off guard when the turkey in my sandwich was cold, I expected it to be warm. It was okay, but there was so much cabbage coleslaw, and lettuce that I didn't really feel like I could taste the 'smoked' part of the smoked turkey. I was disappointed in that. The Mac and cheese was good, and the mashed potatoes were really the highlight of the whole meal for me. They were flavorful and creamy. Service was okay, nothing special. Despite it being not busy, we ran out of our drinks more than once and had to get a waitress' attention to ask for more.
