This was my very first time at a Texas Roadhouse. I'd always heard good things about it but it's a little out of the way for me so I hadn't made the trip before. I came here with my family expecting a better Outback Steakhouse but it ended up even better than I expected They pick up the rolls for your table as they're walking you to the table with their famous honey butter. So you have food to eat the second you're sat. They also have free peanuts on the table Because it was our first time we went a little crazy with the appetizers. We got potato skins, rattlesnake bites, a cactus blossom and firecracker shrimp. The skins were cheesy, loaded with bacon and the perfect ratio of potato to topping. The rattlesnake bites are these mini fried cheddar jalapeño poppers. The spice is subtle but the jalapeño flavor really comes through. The cactus blossom I did wish had a bit more seasoning. I'm used to the Blooming Onion where the entire breading is thoroughly seasoned. It was well salted at least, I was just looking for more flavor. The horseradish dipping sauce helped a lot with that though. Finally the firecracker shrimp is a solid "bang bang" shrimp app. The shrimp were crispy and juicy on the inside. The sauce reads more creamy than spicy but still a nice compliment especially with the potato sticks under the shrimp soaking up that sauce For my entree I ordered the ribeye and grilled shrimp combo and I opted for the grilled mushroom & onion add on. It came with two sides so I got mashed potatoes with gravy and a Caesar salad. Let me tell you that first bite of steak completely melted in my mouth and I was shook. I'd never seen a casual chain restaurant nail a steak like that. I will say the fatty parts got chewier as the dish cooked down. But overall the steak was tender and generously seasoned. The mushrooms and onions were well seasoned too and the combo with the mashed potatoes was delicious. The grilled shrimp were decently cooked but the lemon butter sauce really carries it. They're served on top of garlic toasts that soak up the sauce but keep their toasty edges. The Caesar was your average Caesar, nothing more, nothing less. We were way too full to order dessert and each had a full plate of leftovers to bring home. Overall we were really happy with our experience here. And the bill ended up being cheaper than we were expecting for everything we ordered. We had a one year old with us and the staff was kind and accommodating the entire time. Have been coming to Texas Roadhouse for a little over ten years, food has been very good consistently. Prices are amazing. That's probably why they are always busy. I always get good appetite as soon as I enter the restaurant: love watching the bread being made and the steaks on display. It's also great that the wait staff always grabs a basket of hot bread with cinnamon butter spread as they bring guests to their tables. Bags of peanuts are also waiting at the table. I always order the same thing: 20oz bone-in Ribeye Steak with Caesar Salad and baked sweet potato as sides. It's a great value at $37.99 although I still remember it being $10 cheaper when I started coming to this restaurant. The steak is always perfectly cooked, medium rare is how I like it. The salad is always fresh and crisp. The sweet potato is nicely baked and really tender. That soft, hot bread is addicting. Service is excellent because their wait staff is trained to keep bringing the bread even without being asked. They are very nice about it. And since they have a dedicated person making the bread continuously, they never run out. The free peanuts are also very good and keep customers occupied while waiting. Wow! My first time was amazing. Our server Roxy was really friendly and kind. I'm so glad we got moved to her section. Smiles the whole time and always on top of refills and more rolls. I've been getting BLUE RARE instead of medium rare (130-140f mind you). It was my first time here. For me, Texas Roadhouse isn't about finding the most expensive or most luxurious steak. One thing I miss is the old bucket of complimentary peanuts. They now come in individual bags, which is definitely cleaner and more hygienic, but I do miss that old-school Texas Roadhouse tradition. This is honestly one of the best place I've been to for steak. It has been a very long time that I have found a place like this. It is my first experience at Texas roadhouse the waitlist was insane. Therefore, I highly recommend to place yourself on a waitlist prior in getting there. This is definitely not a quiet, romantic place to dine in. It is a sporting , it is a roadhouse. Lol The butter and bread were phenomenal. It kept on coming out and it was free. The fried onion was crispy. We came in to use a gift certificate that was issued after a previous visit where there was an issue with my food--something in it nearly broke my tooth. We decided to give Texas Roadhouse another chance. The visit started off well enough, and our server was friendly. I ordered a New York Strip, but when it arrived, it didn't look anything like a strip steak. When I mentioned it, our server said they hand-cut all of their steaks. Before I could respond, another server looked at it and said, "That does look like a filet." What happened next was disappointing. Our server then told us he was going on break and told the other server, "Good luck with this!" Not exactly the response you'd hope for when there's a concern with your meal. Later, a manager (Tyler) was doing a walk-through when the other server pointed us out to him, apparently indicating that he should check on our table. The manager walked by, tapped our table, asked, "How is everything?" and before we could even lift our heads to answer, he was already gone. Between the food issues on this visit and our previous one, along with the lackluster customer service, we've decided we're done. This was my third time visiting this restaurant, and my previous two experiences were excellent. The service, prices, and food had always been consistently good, which is why I felt confident bringing my parents here this time. Unfortunately, this visit was very disappointing. The main steak was extremely dry and tough, and the ribs were also overcooked and lacked tenderness. It was surprising to have such a disappointing meal at a well-established franchise, especially on the occasion when I wanted to proudly introduce the restaurant to my parents. This is in Union Landing and there is a lot of parking. When you arrive they have to-go staff outside where you also tell your party number/check in. We were seated quickly and immediately were served with bread. I came for a lunch in the middle of the day and the restaurant was still pretty full. We got appetizers like the blooming onion. It was good and I like it better with ranch than the sauce they served it with. The mozzarella sticks were also good and so were the other appetizers we had. No wait at check in, and was escorted upon walk up to a table once the host secured bread and butter for my table. Server greeted me shortly after being seated, and placed an order for a 6z Steak, and Iced Tea. The table next to me was loud, but I had brought my AirPods and embraced their ability to minimize noise. The Steak, Mac & Cheese, Mashed Potato, and Rolls were great, and the Iced Tea kept flowing. My server was also wonderful at bringing me some rolls and a Togo Iced Tea to the table at the end of the meal. Texas Roadhouse, is a great dinning space, and in my opinion sets a standard of what service should resemble when tipping is an option when making payment. Went to Texas Roadhouse on Father's Day and it was crazy busy. I applaud the workers because it seem hectic. Texas is always a decent spot to get some decent steak and bbq for the price. Came to this location on a Wednesday evening! The wait was short (0-10min) but the restaurant was packed as always. The location was clean and it didn't feel cramped even though it was crowded. We were given multiple bread baskets which was a nice treat for our table. Their bread rolls are sweet with a sweet butter as well. I ordered the ribeye which was good but a bit fatty. 5/5 Great customer service despite how popular and busy they are. The 1st time we ordered takeout, they missed a side dish in the bag, but guest relations made that right. The 2nd time in person, we got on the online waitlist which hovered around 2 hrs for most of the evening. In reality it took just a bit over 1 hour after responding to a text confirming your location at the restaurant. 4/5 food as our steak was more cooked than the requested "medium", but the grilled shrimp was great. The popular cactus blossom app was okay--would recommend it to feed 4 or more. Sauteed mushrooms were overly salty so I could not finish them. Buttered corn and fries were lighter sides that really helped balance the heavier sides and mains. The mocktails ($5 each per receipt) were refreshing, though highly iced so not much drink in the already small glass. The most irresistible food was probably the complimentary warm bread w/ butter! There's an online waitlist through a Google search so you should definitely use that but we (party of 5) joined the waitlist at 4:20pm Saturday and they estimated about 2.5 hours; however, we were seated at 5:30pm. Upon being seated we immediately got hot fresh bread with their cinnamon butter. We got 3 rounds of bread baskets before getting our appetizer (cactus blossom -aka blooming onion). I definitely ate way too much bread. But it was so soft and pillowy-- the cinnamon butter wasn't too sweet either. I got the prime rib 16oz for $36 and it came with 2 sides. We chose the Mac and cheese and seasoned rice. The seasoned rice was seasoned very well, a little on the saltier side. The Mac and cheese were also solid, plain basic Mac and cheese, nothing special but felt nostalgic at the same. You can also get it loaded with bbq pulled pork -- it was so rich and on the heavier side. Definitely couldn't finish it after eating all the bread. The prime rib was tender and juicy. The au jus that it came with was also very good. I couldn't believe this prime rib was only $36. Seriously such a good price. They also give you peanuts that are now individually packaged but the tradition is still there to throw the peanut shells on the ground. Our server, his name was Colton and he was hands-down the best waiter I've had in years. Funny respectful, my soda glass never went empty. And our food came out quick. We hopped on the Yelp waitlist and it was about a 60 minute wait for a Saturday. We arrived to the restaurant and checked in when we got a text. About 10 minutes later, we got seated at our table. There was a basket of bread (with no butter) at our table and our waitress quickly greeted us shortly after we sat down. After we asked for and received their butter, we went in on the bread. It was so soft and warm and the butter was an amazing touch. Our table of 4 ordered a fire blossom. This thing was gigantic. By the end of our meal, we maybe ate 1/3 of the entire thing. There was so much. The white cheese sauce that came with the appetizer did not add much to the plate. And the seasoning/batter on the onion after a while just didn't hit like the first few bites. 3/5 - probably wouldn't order again. I ordered a 14oz ribeye medium rare with mushrooms and onions. I had a side of corn and mashed potatoes and gravy. The dish came out about 10-15 minutes after ordering. I was missing the corn, but after I flagged it down to the waitress, she brought it over. The steak was cooked perfectly but was doused in butter/oil - too much to the point my stomach was hurting a bit later. But given the steak was cooked right and the sides came out nice and hot, the dish gets a 4/5. I have heard about this place from so many people and decided to make the trek out. First off this place gets soooo busy! Maybe because it's the only one, but either come early or use their app and join the waitlist. Started off with the cactus blossom is it was so good. Even though it's deep fried, it's not super greasy. Gives me Outback Steakhouse vibes :) I then ordered the bone in rib eye which was cooked perfectly to my ordering and had the steak fries, nothing fancy, but good ole chain steakhouse kind of good. The ribs were meh... I didn't really like the seasoning and they were super dry, but maybe an off day. Fall off the bone... maybe because they were overdone? Service was so friendly and of course the fresh bread tops it off. Wish it wasn't so far and would come back, but keep in mind when it gets busy the place is so loud... hard to hear people at your own table if you want to have a conversation, but loved it nonetheless! read more

Texas Roadhouse is severely underrated. The meal prices are affordable, the quality of food is great, and the portion size is very large. They have an early dinner which is $14.99. We got the 6oz sirloin, baked potato, and side of corn. They also give complimentary bread rolls with a side of whipped cinnamon butter 10/10!!! It was a delicious lunch at Texas Roadhouse. I like coming here on the weekdays instead of the weekend. Service was excellent as our server was super attentive and gave us tons and tons of their famous bread with that irresistible cinnamon butter. Omg! We had the onion blossom appetizer and that's always a winner. The ribs are worth getting. My companion and I split the entire rack. They have lunch specials on Monday-Friday for $14.99. The country fried steak was delicious according to my family. Restrooms were clean, plenty of parking, and tables were plentiful. Great experience and we'll be back again. read more

I came here for an early dinner on Thursday to celebrate a close family member's birthday. There were 7 of us in total and we messaged in the morning to see if we could get a reservation since the place really is meant to serve parties of 2-4. We arrived around 5:00 PM because we assumed it would beat the dinner rush and we were right! Though they don't really have many tables that are able to accommodate large parties so we were sitting at the high top tables. We were here to celebrate a birthday and none of us had ever been to Texas Roadhouse before so we were not sure what to expect. What we ordered: Rattlesnake Bites: 2/5, for some reason I thought that they were going to be jalapeno poppers but it was all soft Tater Skins: 5/5, they were crispy which was super nice and it was the right amount of toppings Fried pickles: 3/5,they were good but I've had better ones at Lagunitas brewing co, but that's because those were beer battered so they were slightly more crispy Cactus blossom: 5/5, reminds me of the blooming onion from Outback, but better because it's less greasy Ribeye 12 oz with Ribs, side of butter corn, side of sweet potato: 4/5, really the meal would have been a 5/5 if it weren't for the Ribs. I got the ribeye medium and it was perfectly juicy. I also got it with jalapenos, mushrooms, and onions. $5 sangria margarita: 5/5 since it's a slush and you have the option of getting a rim of sugar, salt, or tajin! ~~Parking: The establishment is located on its own in a fairly large area so there's plenty of parking! ~~Service: Great! Our server was Ruvicella and she's a 10/5 for an establishment like this! She was friendly, checked on us just enough, brought our cake for the birthday we were celebrating, brought her co-workers to come sing happy birthday and even brought a lighter because we forgot candles! The other staff are very nice as well, upon leaving the establishment everyone was like "have a good one!". ~~Worst Part: The ribs. They were dry as F. I would not recommend it, but all of the steaks were seasoned and cooked well! From the delicious food to the amazing service, we had a great experience here. We absolutely loved our server, and the dinner rolls with honey whipped butter were such a great start--honestly hard to stop eating. We ordered the dinner combo with ribeye and ribs, plus a ribeye steak dinner. Both plates come with two sides, and everything we chose was solid: house salad, Caesar salad, loaded sweet potato, and loaded fries. The steaks were perfectly cooked and well seasoned, and the ribs were incredibly tender, falling right off the bone with rich, savory flavor in every bite. The restaurant is spacious and works really well for groups, making it a fun spot for a night out. While there can be a wait since they don't take reservations, the Yelp waitlist helps, and once seated, service was quick and attentive. Our server truly made the night even better.
