Tater Skins, Rattlesnake Bites and Cactus Blossom-
    Alan G.

This was my very first time at a Texas Roadhouse. I'd always heard good things about it but it's a little out of the way for me so I hadn't made the trip before. I came here with my family expecting a better Outback Steakhouse but it ended up even better than I expected They pick up the rolls for your table as they're walking you to the table with their famous honey butter. So you have food to eat the second you're sat. They also have free peanuts on the table Because it was our first time we went a little crazy with the appetizers. We got potato skins, rattlesnake bites, a cactus blossom and firecracker shrimp. The skins were cheesy, loaded with bacon and the perfect ratio of potato to topping. The rattlesnake bites are these mini fried cheddar jalapeño poppers. The spice is subtle but the jalapeño flavor really comes through. The cactus blossom I did wish had a bit more seasoning. I'm used to the Blooming Onion where the entire breading is thoroughly seasoned. It was well salted at least, I was just looking for more flavor. The horseradish dipping sauce helped a lot with that though. Finally the firecracker shrimp is a solid "bang bang" shrimp app. The shrimp were crispy and juicy on the inside. The sauce reads more creamy than spicy but still a nice compliment especially with the potato sticks under the shrimp soaking up that sauce For my entree I ordered the ribeye and grilled shrimp combo and I opted for the grilled mushroom & onion add on. It came with two sides so I got mashed potatoes with gravy and a Caesar salad. Let me tell you that first bite of steak completely melted in my mouth and I was shook. I'd never seen a casual chain restaurant nail a steak like that. I will say the fatty parts got chewier as the dish cooked down. But overall the steak was tender and generously seasoned. The mushrooms and onions were well seasoned too and the combo with the mashed potatoes was delicious. The grilled shrimp were decently cooked but the lemon butter sauce really carries it. They're served on top of garlic toasts that soak up the sauce but keep their toasty edges. The Caesar was your average Caesar, nothing more, nothing less. We were way too full to order dessert and each had a full plate of leftovers to bring home. Overall we were really happy with our experience here. And the bill ended up being cheaper than we were expecting for everything we ordered. We had a one year old with us and the staff was kind and accommodating the entire time. While Texas Roadhouse is a bit of a drive for us it was definitely worth the trip!

Have been coming to Texas Roadhouse for a little over ten years, food has been very good consistently. Prices are amazing. That's probably why they are always busy. I always get good appetite as soon as I enter the restaurant: love watching the bread being made and the steaks on display. It's also great that the wait staff always grabs a basket of hot bread with cinnamon butter spread as they bring guests to their tables. Bags of peanuts are also waiting at the table. I always order the same thing: 20oz bone-in Ribeye Steak with Caesar Salad and baked sweet potato as sides. It's a great value at $37.99 although I still remember it being $10 cheaper when I started coming to this restaurant. The steak is always perfectly cooked, medium rare is how I like it. The salad is always fresh and crisp. The sweet potato is nicely baked and really tender. That soft, hot bread is addicting. Service is excellent because their wait staff is trained to keep bringing the bread even without being asked. They are very nice about it. And since they have a dedicated person making the bread continuously, they never run out. The free peanuts are also very good and keep customers occupied while waiting. Food came out at a decent pace. It's loud and lively inside the restaurant. The whole atmosphere is very cheerful. I have been to other Texas Roadhouses since it's a chain. They are very consistent and they all operate very smoothly. Highly recommended if you are looking for a decent steak house and do not want to break your wallet!

Wow! My first time was amazing. Our server Roxy was really friendly and kind. I'm so glad we got moved to her section. Smiles the whole time and always on top of refills and more rolls. Everyone seemed friendly and attentive in the place. It was busy! Prices were reasonable. The rolls were fantastic- sweet, warms, soft. And the butter was so good. Take some home! Loved my pulled pork and sweet potato. Baked perfectly! Vegetables were ok. My family loved their steaks to perfection. Fries were good too. I'll be back and ask for Roxy. Her smile was worth a visit too.

Beautiful and permissible medium rare, I am impressed. Thank you TRH!

ONLY CHAIN STEAKHOUSE IN TOWN THAT ACTUALLY KNOWS HOW TO DO A MEDIUM RARE THE FIRST GO! I've been having terrible luck with random steakhouses not being able to do medium rare correctly. I've been getting BLUE RARE instead of medium rare (130-140f mind you). It was my first time here. Awesome vibes, rolls were delicious, cactus blossom was much better than Outback's, TRH uses appropriate frying oil and Outback reuses old frying oil making it taste like crap. Free peanuts were awesome! Again, shoutout to the chefs for knowing how to one shot a medium rare steak. I didn't have to send it back. It was perfect when it arrived to my table.

A Place I Keep Coming Back To I've been to Texas Roadhouse many times over the years--I just never remembered to take photos until this visit. For me, Texas Roadhouse isn't about finding the most expensive or most luxurious steak. It's about getting together with family or friends, enjoying a cold beer, sharing great appetizers, and having a relaxed meal without breaking the bank. The atmosphere is exactly what you'd expect from a classic American steakhouse. It's lively, energetic, and always feels welcoming. I also love the open kitchen and the hand-cut steak display when you walk in. Watching the staff prepare fresh steaks adds to the whole experience. One thing I miss is the old bucket of complimentary peanuts. They now come in individual bags, which is definitely cleaner and more hygienic, but I do miss that old-school Texas Roadhouse tradition. The warm fresh-baked rolls with cinnamon butter are still incredible. Honestly, I could probably eat an entire basket before my entrée arrives. My must-order items every single visit: Steak The steaks are consistently good. Are they premium steakhouse quality? No. But they're cooked well, seasoned properly, and offer excellent value for the price. That's exactly why I keep coming back. Cactus Blossom (The Giant Onion Appetizer) This is an absolute MUST. It's surprisingly difficult to find restaurants that serve an onion appetizer this size anymore. Most places either offer onion rings or a much smaller blooming onion. Texas Roadhouse's Cactus Blossom is enormous, beautifully presented, and fried to a perfect golden crisp. Every petal stays crunchy while the onion inside remains sweet and tender. Pair it with their signature dipping sauce, and it's the perfect appetizer to share over drinks. If you're visiting for the first time, don't skip it. It has become one of the signature dishes that keeps me ordering it every visit. Fried Catfish Another item I highly recommend. Crispy on the outside, moist and flaky inside, and surprisingly light. It goes perfectly with a cold beer and good conversation. Loaded Baked Potato Simple but done right--loaded with sour cream, cheddar cheese, bacon bits, and butter. Comfort food at its best. One thing that deserves special recognition is the service. Every visit, the servers have been friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Drinks are refilled before you even have to ask, and they frequently check in without being intrusive. Great service makes a huge difference, and the staff here consistently delivers. They're absolutely the kind of servers who deserve a generous tip. At the end of the day, Texas Roadhouse isn't trying to compete with high-end steakhouses--and that's perfectly fine. It knows exactly what it is: a fun, casual American steakhouse where people gather to enjoy good food, cold beer, and great company. The steak is consistently good, the portions are generous, the prices are reasonable, the service is excellent, and the overall experience keeps me coming back. I'll definitely be back again. Highly recommended.

This is honestly one of the best place I've been to for steak. It has been a very long time that I have found a place like this. It is my first experience at Texas roadhouse the waitlist was insane. Therefore, I highly recommend to place yourself on a waitlist prior in getting there. This is definitely not a quiet, romantic place to dine in. It is a sporting , it is a roadhouse. Lol The butter and bread were phenomenal. It kept on coming out and it was free. The fried onion was crispy. Now the steak was the best and the star of the place hands-down to the most tender piece of steak. I've eaten so far in the bay. It was not dry and it came out exactly how I ordered it as well. The ribs was OK but a little dry but we were there for the steak. I am definitely coming back for the steak!!!

Confusion abounds with the new check in process

We came in to use a gift certificate that was issued after a previous visit where there was an issue with my food--something in it nearly broke my tooth. We decided to give Texas Roadhouse another chance. The visit started off well enough, and our server was friendly. I ordered a New York Strip, but when it arrived, it didn't look anything like a strip steak. When I mentioned it, our server said they hand-cut all of their steaks. Before I could respond, another server looked at it and said, "That does look like a filet." What happened next was disappointing. Our server then told us he was going on break and told the other server, "Good luck with this!" Not exactly the response you'd hope for when there's a concern with your meal. Later, a manager (Tyler) was doing a walk-through when the other server pointed us out to him, apparently indicating that he should check on our table. The manager walked by, tapped our table, asked, "How is everything?" and before we could even lift our heads to answer, he was already gone. Between the food issues on this visit and our previous one, along with the lackluster customer service, we've decided we're done. This used to be a monthly trip for us from San Jose, but unfortunately, it won't be anymore. We gave it another chance and left disappointed, again.

I can see why a lot of people love Texas Roadhouse! Large portions, a huge menu, and prices that make it hard to complain. The complimentary rolls with cinnamon butter alone are worth the visit alone being so fluffy, warm. Absolutely loved the cut of meat and the way it came out (cooked to perfect medium rare) along with their combo appetizer + cactus bloom starters. Make sure you join the waitlist virtually before heading over, especially on weekends when waits can stretch to 2-3 hours. Love the rowdiness and the amazing value, if only this wasn't so far from me :)

This was my third time visiting this restaurant, and my previous two experiences were excellent. The service, prices, and food had always been consistently good, which is why I felt confident bringing my parents here this time. Unfortunately, this visit was very disappointing. The main steak was extremely dry and tough, and the ribs were also overcooked and lacked tenderness. It was surprising to have such a disappointing meal at a well-established franchise, especially on the occasion when I wanted to proudly introduce the restaurant to my parents. I hope this was just an off day. My first and second visits were both great, so I'm hoping my next experience will be just as enjoyable as those were.

This is in Union Landing and there is a lot of parking. When you arrive they have to-go staff outside where you also tell your party number/check in. We were seated quickly and immediately were served with bread. I came for a lunch in the middle of the day and the restaurant was still pretty full. We got appetizers like the blooming onion. It was good and I like it better with ranch than the sauce they served it with. The mozzarella sticks were also good and so were the other appetizers we had. I ordered a New York Strip 6oz with corn and Mac n cheese. The steak was cooked good. I got medium rare. It was cooked a little more than medium rare but was still tasty. The bread was so yummy. That butter is amazing!! It is a bit loud in there so sometimes hearing your friends across the table even is a little hard. It is a very social environment.

i really like Texas Roadhouse for weekday dinning before the dinner rush. Attentive service, good food quality, and amazing value via the Early Dine Menu Selections $14.99 available Monday to Friday until 5:00pm. The location has tons of parking, and numerous additional shopping and entertainment options once in the area. My latest visit Was Friday April 3, for Lunch. No wait at check in, and was escorted upon walk up to a table once the host secured bread and butter for my table. Server greeted me shortly after being seated, and placed an order for a 6z Steak, and Iced Tea. The table next to me was loud, but I had brought my AirPods and embraced their ability to minimize noise. The Steak, Mac & Cheese, Mashed Potato, and Rolls were great, and the Iced Tea kept flowing. My server was also wonderful at bringing me some rolls and a Togo Iced Tea to the table at the end of the meal. Texas Roadhouse, is a great dinning space, and in my opinion sets a standard of what service should resemble when tipping is an option when making payment. FYI, I very much enjoy the Ziosk portals on the tables that simplify the bill review, and payment process.

Honestly, I don't know if it gets any better for the price, $30.99 for a 16 ounce sirloin with two sides, phenomenal service, and quality is always great. But, the place is crazy loud and the wait is over an hour typically. When you come pack your patience and really the atmosphere. I love this place. It's one of my favorite chain restaurants in the bay.

Went to Texas Roadhouse on Father's Day and it was crazy busy. I applaud the workers because it seem hectic. Texas is always a decent spot to get some decent steak and bbq for the price. You aren't going to get the fancy stuff but it will at least take your craving. Always look the bread here with the cinnamon butter spread. Luckily we were seated outside so it was a nice cool breeze on a perfect sunny day. One of the steak order was cooked incorrectly but they took it back and fixed it for us. Other than that it was a good experience and we appreciate that they redid that order for us.

Weekends are for Beef Ribs from Capelo's BBQ for us!…read more We brought our friend Helen. She has flown to Texas and spent the night just to pick up BBQ from some of the well known BBQ Joints. I always order the three-bone special and have never been disappointed. I'm also a fan of the Creamed Corn and my wife loves the Cilantro Peanut Slaw. This time we also ordered a rack of Pork Ribs and Brussel Sprouts. This was to eat in. Helen also ordered Juicy Brisket, Pork Ribs and a Beef Rib to take home for lunch throughout the week. They went in to order while I walked the dog across the front of the restaurant. Princess and I entered, sat down and within five minutes, our order was served, even before my wife and Helen came to the table with their drinks. Beef Rib - 5 - I was told to parcel out the beef so I showed off by grabbing the bone, lifting it slightly and shaking. Of course, the meat slid right off of the bone. We ate the rib from the end first. It had the most crust, was super meaty and fatty at the same time. Perfection! Pork Ribs - 5 - These ribs were super tender and meaty. I love eating ribs without adding sauce so I can taste the rub and the meat. Creamed Corn - 4 - This batch seemed to be a bit starchy. Getting later in the corn season. Cilantro Peanut Slaw - 5 - She ate nearly 1/2 of the large container at lunch. No need to say more. Brussel Sprouts - 2 - I haven't tried these yet but both women said that these were extremely salty. The woman who was overseeing the dining area is tops in our book. We've seen here before. She is excellent in trying to ensure that every guest has everything they need to enjoy their meal including plates, flatware, napkins and then lids and take-out containers for leftovers. Next time, I'll remember to get her name.

The brisket was some of the best I've had in the Bay Area while the mac n cheese was super creamy. That visit was 5 stars but that was back in 2024. This latest experience was some of the worst brisket I've had in the Bay Area and would be rated 2 stars. The brisket was dry, chewy, and sliced in the wrong direction (with the grain instead of against the grain). I also tried the pork ribs - meh and the Dino ribs - tender but very fatty instead of juicy and seasoning seemed to be just salt - a lot of salt. The sides of brussels and kale slaw were also just fine. There was way too much vinegar on the kale slaw. There was live music but the music was so loud we couldn't hear each other talk much less think and we were sitting pretty far away. While I enjoy live music, it would be great if there were parts of the restaurant that was quieter for those looking to talk to their friends or who don't enjoy the specific band that evening. Bartender was a cool dude and staff in general are nice.

Peanut butter pie - Too sweet to my liking. Banana pudding - It's good, but also too sweet for my liking.

When I asked him where he got the ribs, he said Famous Dave's. I knew that I had to try them out for myself. It was always one thing after another, but finally, I had time on a Wednesday afternoon. I didnt want to deal with a crowd and when I went, it was perfect. We were seated right away. Our service was Yanira and she was awesome. So friendly, answering all of our questions. I got the ribs and meat meal since I also wanted to try their chopped pork. My sides were Mac and Cheese and Tater Tots. When my order came, I got their special fries and before I could even say anything, another server came with a bowl of my tater tots apologizing for the mistake. No complaints here since I got another side. Everything was delicious. The ribs were tender. I also loved their BBQ sauce. I was going to order water, but since it was a special occassion, i ordered a Dr. Pepper and I was surprised that it came in a large mason glass jar. The Dr. Pepper wasn't peppering.....if you know you know, it just didnt taste strong, but I did enjoy that the drink was ice cold. They dont have coke, but serve pepsi products. The cornbread was perfection, warm and buttery. Disclaimer, the Mac and Cheese had corn in it, just stating if you care about that sort of thing. It was more on the saucy cheesy side. I never had Mac and Cheese like that, but since I love Mac and Cheese and I love corn so it was hit in my world. Portions are huge and I had to take some food home. Prices seem comparable to other places that serve BBQ. Lots of seating areas and I can see on special occasions or on the weekends, this place could get packed. Plenty of parking. This restaurant is off Winton, in the area where Panera is at. If you go all the way to the mall you have gone too far. I know that I will be coming back, I am curious to try their burnt tips. They have a loyalty program. You can sign up before, it is simple, or sign up there as you are eating.

Their portions are bigger than I expected, worth it! This is a fun spot to hangout with friends to grab a bite to eat and to watch a spots game or listen to and watch some Kpop MVs. The service is friendly and attentive, I came on a weekend lunch - dine in wasn't too busy, lucky me but I definitely noticed a lot of to go orders. Parking is easy because they're in a plaza, so no stress there.

The chicken is bland (like typical thai restaurant chicken). Should substitute this out for shrimp if they allow. Chicken curry toast: this is a qunie item and worth ordering. Had it twice now and liked it on both occasions. Garlic cheese bread: it's fine. Nothing to write home. Lamb chop: sweet in taste. Not so good. Older child finished but did not savor it. Chicken skewer: not good. Daughter did not like it either Hot pot: very fishy (tom yum flavor was good). Did not like any of the meat choices in there (fish ball, fish tofu, Chicken). But flavorful. Awesome service. Fast service. Good ambience with tons of TVs with several options. K-pop was a tad bit loud, but fine.
