We visit often with family, and it never disappoints. There can be a wait, so calling ahead is recommended, but it's well worth it. Met a girlfriend for dinner one evening! We were seated as soon as she arrived. The restaurant environment was beginning to pick up. We were promptly greeted by our server . We placed orders for drinks and an appetizer and our entrees. We received our drinks and appetizers in a timely fashion. Not long after we began digging in, our entrees showed up, which meant our server did not pace them well. As my 4th time at Jacks restaurant, the food has not disappointed. I had the Chicken Marsala with polenta and spinach. The portions are substantial. I could not finish the meal and took it to go. As we left the restaurant was pretty full. My first experience here was excellent! We ordered the sausage breakfast, tuna melt w/ garlic fried , meatloaf sandwich w/onion rings , beef barley soup and cheesecake. everything was good but my favorite was the barely soup and the tuna melt . Tuna melt bread had a soft butter crispy crust and the flavor of the tuna was perfect . I enjoyed the onion rings especially with the dipping sauce . For starters we had the Beef and barely soup and that's when I knew I was going to like this place . I could have just ate the soup and would have been satisfied.. the soup was very tasty . My only complaint would be that the meatloaf sandwich could have used some cheese and a little mayo but other than that it was good . So I thought I was finished eating but my server Alysa somehow convinced us to order dessert lol . I had a really good experience, I have no complaints other than I had to unbutton my pants when I got in the car . I came to Jacks with my wife family, the last night we were staying in Fremont. This place is near my wife aunt place and she wanted to come here before we leave to go home. We came close to closing time so the parking was easily to find and we got seated quickly. The restaurant was not busy at all, with some guest inside. I got the New York steak 10oz at medium rare and asked just for fries as my sides. My wife got the grilled salmon for her dish and her mom and aunt got the California burger. It took some time for our food to come outm My wife like her salmon and also her aunt with the burger since that's what she always get. My New York steak color didn't look appealing to me but they cooked it to medium rare like I requested. The steak was okay, I was more hungry than anything else. I finished it quick and was still hungry so I ordered some Hot Wings since it was happy hour price. I like the Hot wings more than my steak and I asked for no blue cheese. The issue I had while dining here was it took three attempts and 3 different people at the restaurant to finally get a refill on my soda. Our waitress disappeared, the waiter who brought our food never came back and it wasn't until the manager came to ask us how we were doing to finally give all of us a refill on our drinks. read more

From the moment we arrived, the service was excellent. The hostess stand was so kind and patient with our 80-year-old mom, allowing her time to decide what temperature and seating area would be most comfortable for her, inside or outside. That level of care really stood out. Our server, Alysa M, was fantastic. She immediately offered thoughtful suggestions for both drinks and meals, was knowledgeable about the menu, friendly, attentive, and incredibly efficient throughout the entire experience. The food was absolutely delicious. My brother and I both ordered the steak, and our mom had the Sautéed Petrale Sole. I finally went back to Jack's after several years (pre-covid time) and was inspired to give the lunch menu a try after ordering breakfast take out at the Saratoga location a month ago. This location is fairly large and the vibe is great! Excellent ambiance with lots of Christmas trees all around. The bar area is very inviting as well. We were seated promptly on a Sunday afternoon and greeted genuinely by Fee (spelling?) and also served by Amani. Fee was all smiles and we loved her positive attitude. She recommend the calamari and I knew we'd have to order that. Huge portion! Eats: *Calamari *Catfish Po' Boy + mixed green salad & ranch *Tuna Melt + fries *Patty Melt + fries I was debating between the first two and chose the po' boy-- best decision ever! Huge filet of panko crusted catfish, chilled cole slaw, and ciabatta bun toasted to perfection. Salad was a refreshing addition after the indulgent crispy calamari! They serve breakfast until 2pm and I've had the bananas foster French toast from Saratoga. It's amazing! Gonna get that next time when dining in. Happy Hour looks good too! Located on the outside of the mall with plenty of parking . Went on a Friday night with no wait time . Had heated outside area but choose to sit inside due to it was way to loud outside . Our server Chris was very attentive and very friendly . Everyone kept checking on the guest and all seemed very professional and alert . Portions were large and pricing is average for today's food. Food was delicious and filling. Had the Moscow mule which was very refreshing unfortunately didn't have any flavors but no problems. 100% recommend and will go again. I can't believe we've been coming here for three years now! It's become a staple on our Sunday afternoon restaurant list. We had never been for breakfast before, but this past Saturday my son had an early basketball game and didn't have time to eat beforehand. We got there around 11 a.m. and were seated right away. Our server greeted us quickly, took our drink orders, and got the kids' entrées started. She was very friendly, but unfortunately, I didn't catch her name. She had to go on break, and another server took over. We'd actually had him the Sunday before for lunch -- his service is a bit standoffish, and he seems like he doesn't really enjoy helping guests. It wasn't terrible service, but definitely not friendly either. Anyway, the food was great and everyone enjoyed their meal. The absolute star of breakfast for me was the hash browns -- perfectly crunchy on the outside, fluffy and creamy on the inside, and really well seasoned. This is for the staff who decided to not tell me the truth about how your HH is set up. I called to make a reservation for an important event this past weekend on the outdoor patio. I was told by the young man who answered the phone and the manager on duty (Nick) that there is HH everyday from 3-6. My father even came by to check out the space. So imagine my dismay when I called them to confirm my reservation and the woman (Mariana?) told me 1. that there is no HH daily and 2. she would check in and call me back with a solution. Mariana NEVER called me back. Didn't even try to rectify the situation. I guess customer friendliness and service is not on your list of things to do for people. Been eating here at Jack's since the middle of the pandemic (2021) and so glad they've been in business since then at this location (i.e. especially in a declining mall). Great service and yummy foods! I still visit frequently for meals (breakfast & lunch) and occasionally for their happy hour menus. The restaurant is spacious (high ceiling) and lively for sporting events at the bar with the large TVs with atmosphere. I'm biased but I know there are several Jack's restaurants in the SF Bay Area but this one in Newark is my hometown favorite. I expect the same level of experience if I visit other Jack's I believe. We did a half and half since I wanted to try different Mac's. Service was great! She was very attentive! The only part I find that was not okay was there was a worker that was setting the utensil on a table for the very next day I suppose?
