My family and I recently revisited Toast on Rea Rd after some time away, and I'm glad we did. I'd nearly forgotten about their fresh-squeezed orange juice is worth the trip on its own. The food was just as delicious as I remembered, and even though it was loud and jam packed, our wait for a table was under five minutes. A very good breakfast at the famous toastery. We were sat down after waited a couple minutes we got a shaded seating outside because the weather was beautiful, the service to the table however took way longer than expected we watch as other people who sat down after us getting served so I finally asked one of the ladies who were very apologetic about getting service and the got us someone right away, luckily we were ready to order. Maybe 15min go by and out food came out we ordered the breakfast pizza and breakfast special and a kids pancake everything was super good no complaints there, breakfast pizza is high in calories for being on a pita but so is a lot of there food items, overall good place to stop and eat. read more

Our bill was $41and when we checked out at the register the woman said that I owed $46. When I showed her the bill she said that she was sorry and that she would adjust it. She could not adjust the amount and got the manager. The manager took 15 minutes playing with the computer to make the bill match the register. Were just there yesterday, wife and I, for breakfast. She loves the Left Coast BLT that has brie and avocado along with the BT & T. I usually go for the wonderful corned beef topped with eggs. However, we discovered another unusual and wonderfully tasty item: their sausage gravy. Oh...just terrific. I do like biscuits or toast with gravy, but have experienced some awful versions. Skeptical of such, I asked our waitperson if I could get a spoonful of their version. Nice person that she was, she brought a small monkey bowl to try. Not goopy, but flowed if poured, this yellowie gravy had bits of sausage in it and exploded in our mouths. The sausage taste was complimented with pepper and cayanne. It was not greasy. It was wonderful. I actually like it on dry rye toast, but biscuit works well and I won't get into my choice of biscuit. Try it and you will be come a regular. Boy, it was good! read more

I was a little surprised seeing the rating but I read they have a nice gluten free selection. They do ask you to wear masks upon entry. They have paper menus that they use as well. As I mentioned they do offer gluten free options which we need for my boyfriend. We ordered the Cali Benedict and the breakfast stack. In the stack, he ordered a gluten free pancake, two eggs, and chorizo. My bf mixed them together! The Cali Benedict has poached eggs, avocado, tomato, and English muffin. Both items were fantastic and it didn't take long to order and get our food. Our server was nice and she was masked the entire time. Overall we had a great experience with great food. Thai place is located in a a shared shopping area. There is plenty of parking. We came on a Saturday morning and there wasn't much of a wait. The waiting area is outside or limited 4 seats in the front. Food came out in a good time and the textures and temperatures were good. The avocado omelette was tasty. They switched some items up on our plates, but the good thing was I was okay eating after the person I was with. You can hear the speakers on about half the restaurant. I had the Blah-Blah-Blah Omelet, where you build your own omelet for $11. Unfortunately, you can only choose 3 ingredients total before there's a $1 extra charge for every additional ingredient. Omelets are meant to have multiple ingredients. I could understand about charging extra for adding more meat, but there should be no additional charge for adding cheap items like cheese and vegetables! I chose artichokes, lox, and brie. It comes with grits, breakfast potatoes, or fruit plus toast. My grits were bland, but I did enjoy the chunky texture. It tasted like bland porridge. The omelet was cooked perfectly. The combo that I chose tasted great. Loved the gooey cheesiness and the many bits of salmon. I thought the artichoke would be an odd ingredient to add in an omelet, but it surprised me in a good way. I could taste each ingredient, and they all worked well together. Boyfriend had the Famous Hash (corned beef and shredded potatoes topped with 2 eggs prepared in any style and hollandaise with a side of toast for $11.30). What a great combo! Boyfriend added an extra egg (because you simply can never have enough eggs), but that was an extra $2. I mean, SERIOUSLY?! It's just ONE extra egg. I could buy a whole dozen for two dollars!! Anyway, my boyfriend was thoroughly satisfied with his dish, and I managed to enjoy a few bites of it as well. We were also surprised with a bowl of complimentary cornbread with apple cinnamon spread. It was not the greatest cornbread, and actually a bit dry, but we appreciated it nonetheless. We also tried Rumosa (mango rum, orange juice, and house champagne, $6.50) from their Specialty Drinks menu. It was delicious! If you like sweet drinks, give this a try! Prices are high, and the food is not great enough to justify the prices, but the food is still good. The exterior is beautiful, but I wish the interior had more natural light coming in, or simply more light in general, especially during the brunch hours. The wait was not long, but there is not much room to wait inside. Staff was pretty attentive, though it was confusing at the end whether or not we were supposed to bring our check to the front or not. read more

The day that we went, they must have been understaffed, as there was only one server and one food runner / busser. The server did his best that he could, but he was definitely running around, and didn't have time to really check in on us if we needed anything. I got my standard breakfast burrito that I always get there, my husband got a standard breakfast with eggs and bacon etc. My mother in law got the cinnamon raisin french toast. To be honest, it looked like store bought cinnamon raisin bread, that was made into french toast (which is a bit of a let down when you are paying more for it). Still a solid spot to bring someone for a good breakfast or brunch (but nothing super special about it, in my opinion). We would return though! :) read more

Out of town with family and wanted to try the local spot. We checked yelp for recommendations and saw that Famous Toastery got some good reviews. We got to the area and it was in a quaint spot. There was a lot of people waiting and even people waiting outside. There was a great coffee station outside for people to get a shot of coffee while they wait. I thought it was a nice touch. We waited about 25 minutes for our table and we were seated. The restaurant was hot, but I could be because of where we were seated. The waitress came and took our drink order and welcome us to the restaurant. A waiter came to take our food Order and answer menu questions. We ordered different things. I ordered the blueberry flapjack combo with bacon and scrambled eggs with goat cheese. My first flapjack was burnt on the bottom, but they quickly fixed it. The second batch was absolutely delicious. It's a shame. This was once a favorite of ours. The service has never been good - but now (2022) it's been abysmal. It's to the point now that there's a wait because they don't have the staff and 70% of tables remain empty - even with the long wait times. The kitchen used to deliver food quickly & now it's a tremendous wait. The wait staff does not come check on you at all - probably because they don't want to hear any complaints. The coffee has never been good. But the food WAS excellent. Now it's more run of the mill... What a shame. read more

Was really disappointed today. Usually love all the Famous Toastery, but I do t think I'll visit this one again. Despite the restaurant being maybe 1/4 full we barely got service. Had to flag down the server to get drink refills, she never checked in to see how everything was, or even if there was anything else we wanted! My tuna melt was mediocre at best, fruit cup had almost white strawberries - thank goodness at least my friend's French toast and potatoes were good! And at my seat by the window there was a strange sewer smell- no reflection on the service, just an odd coincidence. Loved having lunch with my friend, but this service almost ruined it. read more

Came in an hour before close, which was not my intention because Yelp says they close at 3pm but they've changed their hours on the door. The place was quiet and pretty empty. I was sat right away with a choice of seat. Ordered an iced latte and classic Benedict. Both drink and food came out extremely fast, would makes sense being on of the last people in the restaurant. Would have given 5 stars but the coffee was subpar. $6 for and iced latte, I was expecting much better quality. There were grounds in my drink and it was bitter. I mentioned it to the server upon check out and she said "oh its fresh, I don't know why you tasted that." I didn't drink more than 2 sips of it. The redemption of this place was the food. Eggs were poached perfectly and there was plenty of hollandaise sauce! I even had enough to put in my grits, which were a bit bland. Server dropped the check off at the table upside down without saying anything so I sat there for a short while before asking. Then another short while with my card on the table waiting for her to come take it, only to see another table go up and check out. This would have been nice to have been told considering I've never been to this restaurant before. Overall it was good and I'd come back, but I'll stay away from the latte. We almost didn't eat here because the overall review score is a little low but I'm so glad that we ignored that and came here. This is what I call a "regular restaurant", no gimmicks, no trendy expensive decor that you're paying for in your meal, just quality food and good service. I had the benedict that has avocado and tomato, I can't remember the name but it was SO GOOD. Not smothered in hollandaise like some places do and the egg was poached perfectly. It was a very large order so my husband and I could have split it. He opted for the banana nut pancakes and I ate a good fourth of them. Very moist, warm and flavorful. I also had a peach bellini and you get such a good size drink for the price! Not a tiny 2 oz pour in a cute doll size glass like some of these insta-famous places do. I'm so glad that we found this place. Food that I'll be dreaming off at prices that make sense. We will definitely be back! read more
