My friends and I decided on having a last minute brunch here on a Saturday at around 10am . We were seated immediately and opted to sit outside since it was so nice out . The service at this location is always superb. I ordered the huevos rancheros, a side of stuffed strawberry & cream , the apple cider mimosa, and the mimosa flight . I thoroughly enjoyed everything. My only complaint was that the food was Luke warm and not very hot temperature wise . Other that that it was an overall good experience.

Famous Toastery is quickly becoming one of my favorite breakfast spots. I Love their Famous homemade bowl. The coffee is good, the mimosas are amazing (get the flight which has four flavors to choose from). The pancakes are great, be sure to add a flavor or topping. The famous bowl is the newest addition to the mental institution, be sure to customize it your way. Not only is the food great, but the overall atmosphere and the servers are amazing! Jasmine and Meonka and all of the servers are always kind to everyone. I'll be back for more.

I was very curious about Famous Toastery, not knowing this was a breakfast/lunch place at first. I walked in this morning and was seated very quickly. The menu is interesting, and I went with a conservative selection called the First Responder (3 eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit, and toast). The food came out quickly and the presentation was okay. The coffee gets high marks at this place. Service was fine and slowed down near the end, had to ask for a takeout box at the front area since the server never returned after asking how things were in the first initial encounters. I think I will choose a different selection if I give this place another opportunity, probably the Eggs Benedict or the breakfast hash meal.

Great friendly service. Food came out fast. My fiance got the biscuits and gravy which were good and I got the avocado omelette which was the perfect size for breakfast. And we had their mimosas. Great first brunch!

First of all it took us just about and hour just to be seated. When I was paged I went to the front desk as instructed and was ignored by the guy (which I later found out was the manager) - I had to ask him were people being seated he told me it'll be a 45-1hr wait. I told him I was paged to be seated and that's when he asked for my name and had me seated.... the tables are tiny, I mean yes it was just me and my son but they have so many things on this tiny table that take up so much room that your plate of food can barely fit. I switched tables myself to the one that was right next to me.. Whew, now on to the food... We placed our order and waited about 30 minutes for our food to finally come out cold!!.. At this point the restaurant was not packed so I'm not quite sure why our food took so long. My sons bacon was burnt, and fell on the floor when he took a bite, he said his pancake was okay. My corned beef hash was bland and cold, my waffle was cold, I had to ask the bus boy if he could get someone to help me, because my waiter was no where to be found and he flagged down the manager, I explained that my sons bacon fell on the floor and were to burnt to consume and that my waffle was cold, I requested a fresh waffle and he put in an order of bacon for my son. Those came out right away. I'm not sure how they have such high reviews - Perhaps this was a bad day or location. Anyhow I did order a mimosa flight and that was about the only thing I enjoyed. The food def was not photo worthy..

I have eaten at this location quite a few times. It can be busy - with a wait - on some days. There was no wait this morning! In fact - we were able to choose our seat. We arrived around 9:30 AM. The hostess was polite and greeted us. Once seated, a waitress took our order. I had a breakfast bowl - which consisted of potatoes, cheese, bacon, eggs, sausage gravy, and toast. The item can be customized to your liking. The food arrived hot and fresh and was delicious! The staff checked in a few times to see how we fared, each person working there did a great job. Overall, everything was excellent! I will definitely be returning!

I have eaten at the other Famous Toastery in CLT but not at this Concord location yet. For a Saturday lunch, my friend and I got seated upon entering. The atmosphere of the place is noisy and busy, but with plenty of room between the tables. Our sever was extremely sweet. I ordered their Sunset Mimosa and Famous Toastery bowl. The sunset mimosa is like any other mimosa so no complaints there. Their bowl was extremely good, especially the gravy that smothered on top of the potatoes. You can pick your choice of breakfast meat and I went with the breakfast patties which were cooked perfectly and not dry, the over easy eggs - the yoke waterfall down beautifully with the potatoes as well. This bowl is a heavy meal, so if you want something light I would advise to get something else. Most definitely will be coming back to this one compared to the one in Clt near the board walk.

Delicious huevos with chorizo and side of home fries. Great service as each server checks on any and all tables.

Usually when the reviews aren't that great I take heed. But I was looking for a place to meet friends and this was the best option. Because we needed a table for 6, I was prepared to have to get on the wait list. But to my surprise, according to the site, there was never a wait. When we arrived, although the restaurant seemed pretty full, we were immediately seated. Our drink and food orders were quickly taken. Our food arrived very quickly. Everything was exactly as we ordered it. It was my first time ordering the waffles, but it definitely will not be my last! They were so good! The grits came out piping hot. The fresh squeezed orange juice was delicious! Our server continued to check on us throughout our time there. She never made us feel rushed but made sure we didn't need anything else. I'm not sure what changes have been made. But whatever it is, is definitely working! Everything about our experience was 5 stars. I hope they keep it up! Pro-tip: They now allow you to pay your tab from your table by scanning the QR code on your printed bill. No more standing in line at the door to pay on your way out!

This is my 313th Yelp! Such happy vibes! What a fun place to review. I went for brunch on a Wednesday afternoon. There is always something to suit any palette and nutritional needs. The calorie content is printed next to any entree. That's a pretty big deal for me. Right out the gate they reeled me in with Fall inspired cocktails that looked great! The one that caught my eye was The "Morticia:" Pear Absolute Cranberry Juice Sprite Yes, I do love the Addams Family, but tell me that, that doesn't sound fall, festive and refreshing! The music wasn't to our tastes, so we didn't linger. It was a perfect Indian Summer afternoon, so we dined in the patio. Our wait staff was so friendly and efficient. I ordered the "Runners Omelette", with a side of Yogurt Parfait. My nephew enjoyed his breakfast Quesadilla. Every thing was fresh, and it was a good value for the money. They have an efficient ordering system so the kitchen gets your order as soon as your server takes it, via this nifty handheld device. I had too much planned, that day, to indulge in any day drinking. But the next time I plan to experience the Morticia ;-)

I ordered and picked up, everyone was nice at pick up. I had to go with the famous food Network sandwhich, The squawking goat. This was a biscuit with perfectly seasoned fried chicken, topped with fried goat cheese and pepper jelly! Every bite was delicious. The fried goat cheese was fried perfect and when you bite into it, it oozed out. I loved the pepper jelly as well, it leaned more on the sweeter side but I didn't mind it all. We also tried the chicken waffles. Again very good. The waffle was seasoned nicely. I personally like my waffles harder, but could of been the drive back to house that softened it up. But the flavor was on point so was okay with it. The chicken like in my biscuit was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Tried their churro(iced) latte. Loved it, my mind was set on a super sweet drink BUT this was not at all, was a perfect blend and balance. We got a side of crispy potatoes, weren't a fan of these, no flavor and not really that crispy. But by time we ate everything else the potatoes were an after thought. That be the only thing I wouldn't order again.

I ordered the Iced Cinnamon Biscuit. My husband ordered the Five & Dime with a side of tots. The cashier was super nice and was the one that helped me pick what to order. Once we ordered, they gave us a number to put at the table so they could deliver the food. It took about 12 minutes from order to delivery of said food. The Iced Cinnamon Biscuit was a great choice. It basically tasted like a cinnamon roll, but substitute the roll part to be a biscuit. I also tried some of my husband's tots and they had the perfect crunch. There are a few big tables inside where it's easy to share with others. They also had outdoor seating too. The only off putting thing was water was dripping from the ceiling all over the restaurant when I was there. There were no signs about the water, but every now and then a drop would fall on someone unsuspecting or the floor. They really need to get that looked at. The parking lot is an L-shaped so be careful parking towards the end as it is closed off so it can be tough to turn around.

For my meal I ordered the Biscuits & Gravy with eggs. I love how the gravy is made with turkey sausage. As a non pork eater I struggle to find places that serve non pork gravy and was so glad they had turkey sausage based gravy that I could devour. It comes with their seasoned potatoes but based on the reviews I decided to swap for grits. The biscuits & gravy were my favorite part of the meal. I wish it came with 2 instead of a side. I got my eggs scrambled. It was ok, typical container eggs. Next time I'll try fried hard eggs so I can have a real egg. The grits... they gave me the hard part that's usually found stuck to the bottom of the pan. Some parts were regular after I scraped the hard parts out. No flavor, I definitely needed to add salt & pepper. I'll be back for sure but will probably try to get the biscuits & gravy w/o a side.

Really captures what the food and culture of the place is. You can come here for breakfast, lunch or dinner or just coffee. They serve all the Turkish coffee and teas your hearing about these days. Plus the regular coffee shop menu. They have a nice case of traditional desserts and everything just looks so good. Cheesecakes, cakes, pastries and baklava. All the food we saw coming out looked so good and all fresh. We sat outside even though it was warm... they have a few sidewalk tables. They have a extensive menu with vegetarian options too. We wanted something light so we shared the mezze platter which comes with 4 dips and their house baked balloon bread and cucumbers and tomato slices. We got the hummus, baba ganoush, red pepper hummus and tzatziki. Also had some stuffed grape leaves on the platter. The bread is pretty unique, light, airy and thinner than a pita it has a big bubble in it and parts are crunchy and some softer. Great for dipping into the dips and just by itself. Also had the garlic Parmesan fries too. All of it was so good. The fries are crispy and a full bowl that never seemed to go down. The dips were so fresh and I loved the smokey baba ganoush. Presented so nicely too. The grape leaves were great too stuffed with rice and marinated in a nice vinaigrette type dressing. Great platter for the hot weather as it was all cool. After we finished that we went inside as it started getting really hot out and we wanted coffee and dessert. Our server said we can sit anywhere we wanted , we had already seen what we wanted in the dessert case, the raspberry shine cheesecake. Picked our coffees , I went with the cappuccino and my friend had the mocha chino . The barista who was so sweet asked us if we'd had the Turkish coffee before and we said no, so she served us up some with a little Turkish delight sample too. Rich and dark is how I'd describe it , not for the light coffee drinkers, this packs a punch. Really liked it. She also said in turkey after you finish your coffee there is a sludge of grounds left at the bottom of the cup which there was, she said you can have your fortune read from those grounds and how the place in the cup, you have to turn the cup upside for in the saucer and let it sit awhile then flip it over, she was able to read a little as she had said she had been taught how to, she did get some things right in her readings! She also said you can take a picture of the grounds and put it in chatgpt to get a better reading! So I did, it was interesting for sure. Kinda a fun thing to do as well. My cappuccino was positively weak in comparison to the Turkish coffee, Still good though. Was perfect with the cheesecake, which was creamy and had a chocolate crumble in the middle, loved the raspberry flavor and the crust was really good too. Not a heavy stodgy cheesecake, this was much lighter. Perfect afternoon coffee accompaniment. We loved this place!
