We try new places every other weekend this was by far the worst I've ever experienced. This was our first time here and absolutely our last. I ordered the biscuits and gravy which came out burnt and cold. The biscuits were so hard, you would need a hammer and chisel to get through them. My sisters bacon was burned black to the point of jerky and my husband had to ask 3 different servers for a water refill. The food was disgusting and the service was by far the worst. This is the second time we've eaten here. Wow! It won't be our last. Both times we have had a 15 minute wait but it is so worth it. They bring a sweet cornbread with apple butter spread and your beverages while you look at the menu. My wife ordered to avocado omelet with grits and wheat toast. the omelet had avocado, tomato, bacon, and parmesan. So good. Such a fresh taste. I ordered the stuffed french toast with blueberry spread. Cooked perfect and delicious. Coffee has a good taste and they are attentive on keeping the beverages filled. Every server is there to serve you so you won't see just one server during your visit. You get them all! Really enjoyed their food (ordered at least once a week if not more often) but have started to see more and more issues. Last visit to dine-in was extremely poor. My first two selections off menu were unavailable, which was okay with me so I opted for a omelet. I ended up with wrong meat and charged for toppings I didn't get. Just past the outlet stores on 501 is a FANTASTIC breakfast spot, Famous Toastery, which is a franchise of about 15 restaurants. The menu is unique with standard breakfast/lunch menu with daily specials. We chose one of the specials: breakfast bowls which we customized. I had my eggs over easy & my husband had his scrambled. We have had breakfast bowls several times before in other restaurants but you have not tasted potatoes prepared with a more delicious flavor. They use a steak seasoning that puts them over the top!! Shannon was our server and answered all of our questions about the restaurant and gave us amazing service. You will also notice that EVERYONE takes care of you. We come down to Myrtle every year and are always looking for new places to eat. This one is a MUST. Ample options whether you are looking for breakfast or lunch. Was surprised that it wasn't crowded when we came at noon and instantly got seated for a party of 8. The staff was so friendly and accommodating to all of our needs. But most importantly the food was fantastic. We go out to brunch a lot so we are unofficial experts and everything was super fresh and cooked perfectly. The only downside is that this place does not serve iced coffee and I am a huge iced coffee girl. But everything else I mentioned outweighed that minor detail. The orange juice is fresh squeezed and they cook lots of fresh vegetables in their dishes. They offer gluten free pancakes as well. The food is beautifully prepared and portion sizes are moderate. The servers and front staff were super friendly and helpful with our big group. My draw backs were three things. The first was the tea was too sweet and sugar was not dissolved & caked in bottom of the glass. The server replaced with half and half tea. The second reason was food had very little flavor. I chose breakfast potatoes as a side to a Blah Blah Blah Omelette and they looked seasoned generously but upon tasting, had no flavor. Lastly, it's pricey. We have so many breakfast places in our city we don't have to pay $15 per person for breakfast (including drink). Avg cost is $10.99 a plate. Was blown away by this place this morning. Sadly I showed up a little late and went with their lunch but the breakfast choices looked amazing! For lunch I had a grilled cheese and lobster sliders made with Maine lobster, it was out of this world. My friends also loved their meals and we all decided to give it 5 stars. Service was amazing as well, it's one of those places where everyone takes care of you so there wasn't a wait for anything. Also you can't beat $3 mimosas ! We recently decided to give famous a try. The overall look and feel of the place is awesome, it's very cozy and inviting. However the food service was a flop. We ordered basic breakfast sandwiches and were told there was a catering order causing the food to be late. That's understandable I can accommodate that. But what I can accommodate is for me to patiently wait and end up getting a sub par sandwich. My toast was dry and hard, my bacon was like rubber, my husbands breakfast sandwich was a mess. The food is really good and service has always been as well. However, at breakfast this morning, I was disturbed to see several couples coming through the doors, in the waiting area and walking through the dinery without wearing masks. There is a sign on the front door that asks that you wear them to enter but obviously the wait staff are not asked by management nor the owner, to enforce for the safety of all patrons. We watched all being lead to tables and not asked to leave nor offered a disposable mask. When you place the sign on your establishment stating to wear a mask before entry, as a patron I am believing that you the vendor, care about your customers safety during this Pandemic with Covid 19 but was this false advertisement and "all about the buck" versus health and safety?! My favorite brunch spot since I moved to the Myrtle beach area in August of 2018. I've become a regular! I love the atmosphere and the people here. Tim, the owner is very friendly and is always around ready to chat or answer your questions. I have yet to try anything on their lunch menu however, I've tried multiple breakfast dishes including the veggie omelet, several of their specials including seafood dishes and have yet to be disappointed. This place looked really cute in all its pictures so when I went down there I had to try it. The corn bread they give you as a free starter was amazing, but it went downhill from there. I ordered a creamsicle mimosa and it tasted like soda water with vodka and heavy cream in it, and was curdled. I then had the breakfast pita, which was alright but barely had any gravy on it, so it was extremely dry. When they brought the food they dropped the check and never came back, and it wasn't that busy, and they have a serving staff that works together rather than an individual server, but I had to stop one just to get a box.
