Great food, great service, and great atmosphere. The waiters and waitresses tend to all customers instead of having designated tables. They were all super friendly and helpful. Sorry my reviews are almost always long. I like the tell it how it is. We are huge brunch people, and have been hoping a good brunch place would open up by us, and one did; Famous Toastery! We went today for a delicious meal, and it was so good, and I was so pleased, that I had to come rushing home to write my review for it. The service was absolutely great! They may have been slightly over staffed? Since 2 people both tried greeting us at the door, and I didn't know which one to look at lol - But they are still new, and its definitely better than being understaffed. When our waitress came to the table, she mentioned every waitress is your waitress. Which i thought was a nice and interesting touch. Then you are never having to wait to flag your waitress down if you need anything. Our main waitress was awesome! She asked if we were ready to order or if we needed a few minutes. I mentioned I knew what I wanted since I saw it on yelp (of course), but i didn't know where it was on the menu yet (since we had just sat down and were discussing the appearance of the restaurant). She said she could help me out since she basically memorized the menu if I wanted to try describing what it was I wanted to order. We placed our order. I asked for a glass of Orange Juice - They have a freshly squeezed orange juice machine!! Talk about refreshing! On weekends they offer complimentary cornbread with homemade apple jam/applesauce type substance lol. Its really good!! Our food came out very quickly, hot and yummy!! I ordered the Strawberry and Cream Cheese Stuffed French Toast. You could tell the cream cheese was homemade. It was thick and rich and just heavenly. For a small orange juice, 2 meals, and a coffee, with tip our bill came to $39 for two adults. Seems a tad bit pricey compared to the brunch places we were used to back home. But with how good the service was, and how delicious the homemade food was, and how nice of a brunch restaurant it is, it was worth it. Absolutely the best brunch in Myrtle Beach. Hands down. The service was exceptional, the atmosphere and decor was inviting and quite beautiful. Our table of three had the Eggs Country Benedict (a new favorite!), Breakfast Sandwich (made to order perfectly!), and a child's pancake which arrived with the most delicious warm syrup...we all had to have a bite. The restaurant serves both breakfast and lunch but honestly I don't know if we can ever get past the deliciousness of brunch to try to the lunch menu..although from what we saw it is equally as wonderful. We are delighted that Famous Toastery has made its way to our neighborhood. We've been here for almost 20 years and in that time the closest brunch we have seen that was worth the title was in Murrells Inlet. This is every bit as good as our favorites in the inlet and Charleston. read more

We have enjoyed breakfast several times and really like the food, BUT the reason for my 3 star review, and why we dont go back too much, is they must use a old school mop, and its definitely sour.. big turn off hope they switch to a better system. We drove 9 miles with high hopes. I'm sure the food is good, however we were disappointed. I must say that the pancakes are really good. Not too thin and not too thick. Also served with warmed maple syrup. I ordered the huevos rancheros, eggs medium. The eggs were completely cooked. Nary a runny yoke between the two. The beans and pico were very tasty. My wife ordered an omelette which was way over cooked. The service was really good. Very attentive. The ambiance is nice, however the music (60's R&R) was a bit too loud, but then again I'm also turning into an old fart. I wouldn't return although it has received many good reviews. read more

What a disappointment! Food was served cold. The establishment bragged about having a one person server? We had 4! The manager was very nice however the food was below par and cold. When we sent it back it was nuked and soooo hot it burned my mouth. I really think that they maybe we're training new waiters. Good luck . I'll stick to Murrells Inlet y'all. read more

What a big disappointment. Ordered my standard coffee, 3 eggs over easy, crisp bacon, grits and rye toast. Coffee was especially flavorful. Grits were nice consistency but bland flavor. Eggs were done to my satisfaction. The rye toast had to be the smallest SINGLE slice of bread yet. Bacon was very good but not exceptional. The total price was more than $3.50 over what I pay at my normal morning restaurant, Eggs Up Grill where I give them 5 stars every day. Staff was very pleasant with quick polite service. My friend and I frequent the Famous Toastery pretty much once a week for breakfast. The service is always top notch and our breakfast choice is always hot and tasty. We seem to linger a little longer when we go there because the staff is so sweet and attentive. It is a joy to go there weekly. Got breakfast - Corned Beef Hash Eggs Benedict cost $12 and change. Add the tax and tip cost me $15 for breakfast and I wasn't at the Marriott. Just water to drink (they don't filter the water), so much chlorine I could drink even w/lemon to mask the taste. They boast fresh and made to order w/large portions. Well true on part, hard to not be fresh when using eggs, potatoes, onions, lemons, butter. But large? Had to move the eggs to see any Corned Beef Hash. Maybe in was just my serving. But I've told everyone to stay away unless they like over-paying. Service ya, had 6 different people throughout the meal. Must be paying the extra amfor the fresh servers. read more

This is the first time we ever been here or let alone attend a breakfast place in myrtle beach we usually sleep till about 1. My lady and I have been talking about places but we ended up hopping here because of people remarks about it. Very cute setup but not cuter than my lady as we came later in the day.
