Just the same, I managed to stop, ordered two Everything bagels with White Fish spread and a large dark roast coffee. I was met with "...white what...". I repeated and added, "...its Jewish thing, which is delicious on a bagel. " Sorry we don't have that." Hmmm . Well I'll have a thin smear of creamed cheese, which they had plenty, on my two toasted Everything bagels. I prepped my coffee and in a flash the bagels were packaged and bagged. I was given a "have a nice day". Get in my car, unwrapped the First bagel, ahh an Everything. Later the second was unwrapped back a my home office and a Toasted Sesame Seed jumped out at me. No offense Sesame lovers, I was hugely disappointed my simple order got twisted. And to top off my dissatisfaction NO WHITE FISH SPREAD!

Located in Unionville pretty close to the Farmington River, this adorable coffee shop will provide you the fuel before or after your walk. They offer lunch, breakfast and coffee options. They have a spacious interior as well as a few tables outside. Their large menu of coffee, teas and energy drinks was intriguing. I had to get the Peeps Latte when I saw it listed on their Specials menu. It was ready quickly. This was adorable looking, it had three colorful peeps sitting on top of the marshmallow cold foam. This vanilla based latte, was equally tasty as it was looking. After my pick me up, I picked myself up and went for a walk, the trial is really intended for cyclists, but we made do. This place was packed, I recommend calling ahead, the customer area is tiny and does move somewhat quick depending on the orders, grilled items take a while as they have a small grill apparently (overheard to a guest waiting). Seed is open in Glastonbury and in Berlin. I went to the one in Berlin. The interior is super cute! They have comfy seating, with a little bookshelf. They also have bar seating. The art is colorful and inviting. It looks like they will begin serving ice cream soon. The girl at the counter was very patient as I studied the menu. I decided on the Banana French Toast Latte. This was very tasty, you could taste the banana and honey and for sure the cinnamon. After my coffee, I decided I should stay for lunch. I got the Garden Nova bagel. I got the cheddar bagel, it was soft and airy, topped with melted cheddar. It was generously filled with salmon, cream cheese, pickled onions, cucumbers, slow roasted tomatoes, and arugula. It was hearty and delicious! I had this at 12:00 o'clock, I didn't eat anything else for the rest of the day. It was that filling! First, the staff are amazing here, they are friendly and kind and always keep up a good vibe and attitude no matter how packed or busy the place gets (and trust me, it gets PACKED). The interior of this place is adorable, and feels like you're really stepping into an old preserved colonial home. The bagels are always fresh, and due to the sourdough they don't cause any bloating or make you feel stuffed in a bad way. They're always coming up with new combinations and flavors and it's hard sometimes to know what to pick but I am not complaining! The biggest thing to keep in mind is get here early if you can, as they don't have much parking (you can sometimes find parking in the small lot next door). I am a huge bagel breakfast sandwich fan, and I can see myself coming here every weekend for a very, VERY long time. If you get the chance, grab some of their starter that they sell in house, on Amazon, or even at Shoprite in Canton if they still have their display going! They had been posting a lot about their Egyptian dukkah bagels. I love dukkah (they use cardamom, sesame seed, clove, paprika, fennel & E.V.O.O.), so I ordered that as my bagel choice for their Blue House sandwich. They have many brilliant sandwich options as well as the option to build your own. They also have many house made schmears, pastries and other goodies. They even do stuffed bagels. I believe they are a completely, if not predominantly, sourdough based bakery. So my sandwich, the Blue House, had egg, white cheddar, heirloom tomato, greens, and herb aioli. Watching them make the sandwich was incredible and a treat in itself. The level of care and craftsmanship they put into each sandwich is rare. I could tell which one was mine and just had a blast watching! Very happy foodie. The bagel was toasted just enough, but the chewy sourdough texture wasn't lost. It was a remarkable bagel. One of the best I have ever had. I hesitate to call it the best after just one visit, but it was good enough to entertain that thought. The sourdough recipe also made it extremely light and it agreed with my finicky health/dietary needs better than any other bagel I've had in years. The topping ratios were just perfect. Rarely do bagel sandwiches with an aioli have enough, and they put plenty without making it overly saucy. Just brilliant sandwich construction, which really is not taken seriously enough. I brought a French toast bagel to my mom with a tub of their apple & honey cream cheese, which I tasted of course. Whipped and super light. Flavor unlike any other schmear I've had before. It was an incredible flavor. My mind really was blown. Everyone working was cheerful, warm, and friendly. It was a wonderful environment, and from what I had seen on social media it seems like it's always that way and I great place to be with passionate people behind it. Rebel Dog Coffee's area shops have been on our radar for years, and yesterday we finally checked their Farmington location. It's in a strip mall shopping plaza right next to a Nardelli's more or less where Route 6 crosses Fienneman Road/Birdseye Road. Their Dog Pack has four Rebel Dog members spread out around the Greater Hartford area and some of their coffees can be found in local supermarkets. Their Farmington store is very large and comfortable, with plenty of space between the customer tables. The dining room was fairly crowded when we arrived, with people socializing and banging away on their laptops. Rebel Dog has a very deep offering of coffee drinks and food choices, Want a coffee? Well, you best be ready to choose among single or double espressos (with or without foam of whipped cream or steamed milk, lattes. Cappuccinos, mochas, and Americanos, light-dark-or decaf drip coffees, French Press, Pour Overs, teas, jot chocolates and a ton more. You can even get a growler of coffee, tea, or kombucha. I never saw that before. Now, what good is a morning coffee without something to munch alongside it? No worries, because the Dog has you covered with everything from "Build Your Own" breakfast sandwiches, six egg Benedicts, oatmeal, yogurt & granola, fruit cups, and pastries. The sandwich was very good and chicken was crispy. I also got a maple cream iced coffee. It was a different set up than I'm normally used to because the coffee was already in the cups that you could choose from in the fridge. There were about 10 different flavors to choose from. I was then given ice and could make my coffee at the counter. I wouldn't come here for the coffee though I brought home a French toast bagel with cannoli cream cheese.
