HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE Took my grandmother & wife there for a post Mothers day treat. Pedi & Mani for both. We ask for Mani & Pedi for BOTH OF THEM, and they agree to do them, so they both sit down to begin. As the man is doing my wife's so called Pedi, he basically rubs lotion on her heals and then paints on the white french manicure onto her toes.NOT EVEN A FOOT SOAK OR HEEL SCRUBBING As soon as he finishes the white tips on my wife's toes, he stands up,grabs his keys and says "Come back tomorrow for the manicure I don't have time for it today, I have to pick up my kid at school" and then he walks out. WTF?!?!? SERIOUSLY ?!??! So Grandma is getting hers done and my wife is left sitting there in a chair half done with what she asked them to do. A few months ago, I decided to try the Pedicure/Manicure site - Fancy Nails in La Quinta - that my new wife had been to many times. From my first visit to my most recent (about every 2 weeks) I have been so well pleased by the care and attention. From the moment I walk in to the time when it's all finished, I am amazed with the comfort. Lisa is the lady who does her work on my nails (foot and hand) each visit. She is outstanding. All of the others who work there are equally pleasant. I commend them all. And - the price is right in line. I love going there. read more

Was in La Quinta for the weekend of my boyfriend's birthday. He went golfing and I headed to get my nails done. I generally don't get my pedicure anywhere else but my spot back home, but I thought it deemed the right time to get that manicure on. Fingers looked a bit mad at each other. DON'T GO HERE!!!! I will NEVER go back to this nail salon again. There is a man that works here who is extremely aggressive and has no problem yelling at his customers for absolutely no reason. I would not recommend this place to anyone! A nail salon should be a place where you go to unwind and relax. They need to fire this guy ASAP before someone sues this place. I got my mother's and I SNS manicures redone here and it was a HORRIBLE experience. The woman was from Alabama and kept calling me picky when I would politely ask her to fix something (because after all I'm paying for it and I will tip you! Scratch my back and I'll scratch yours!). She kept calling me picky in Vietnamese to her coworker, she haphazardly and roughly filed my nails without paying attention to what she was doing, she didn't push back my cuticle so the end job was going to look sloppy anyways, and she got the gel top coat in the edges of my nail causing them to feel unsmooth and making them look sloppy. I was so disappointed because when my mother, grandmother, aunt and I came here for pedicures they were great. DO NOT RECOMMEND. read more

I came into this nail salon a bit hesitant because I have been to several salons around town and have not been very impressed with their work. Linda offered to take care of me shortly after I walked in. She also noticed that the state of my nails were in poor condition due to the less than mediocre job that had been done before. She told me she would take extra care of me and she sure did. My nails look impeccable, her massage was lovely, she even encouraged me to speak up if I didn't like the shape or the color and she would fix it for me as we went along. She wanted to make sure I was happy. I would highly recommend asking for Linda. It just goes to show you a little extra customer service can go a very long way and I really really appreciated it. read more

This place is a joke! They are very unfriendly, rude & have no problem talking shit to each other about pretty much everyone that comes in the door. Even though they do so in their native language it's more than obvious by their looks & whispers & body language that's exactly what they are doing. It seems some of them don't grasp the fact that it takes customers to pay their wages & act as if they are doing you a favor by giving up their time to do your nails! The prices are posted but every time you go in you're charged a different amount depending on who does them. Plus forget about getting them done the way you ask for, that seems to be at their discretion along with the pricing. I'll spend my money in a friendlier, more professional shop who appreciates my business from now on. I will never spend another dime in this place! I would NOT recommend this place. I have been coming to this place for years with my grandma and mother. The past few experiences have not been good and I just tried to give them the benefit of the doubt because I enjoy the personality of one of the guys that work there and they used to good a nice job. The last time I went was absolutely awful experience. I picked out my bottle of polish from the wall and asked for regular polish pedi. When the lady started doing the color it looked like gel so i told her I dont want gel just regular. She said i know dont worry regular, no gel. I said okay. I figured i must have been mistaken and she knew what she was doing. After The lady use was doing my mother was taking way longer then the one doing mine. Once it was time to pay they charged way more then normal. They said because of Gel when i specifically said no gel. The owner did not believe me. I'm a manly guy and not into salons, but my gf wanted to treat me to some pedi and mani when she did her eyelashes. When i walked in the door the techs were so friendly and i see other guys enjoying their mani and pedi, so it made me felt very comfortable. The service was unbelievable! The tech was very detail and attentive. Afterwards she even offer me a hot rock massage which was so soothing. My gf was very please with my please good looking nails. This totally slipped my mind, please forgive me as I just refilled my prescription for the infection that I received from the children running Fancy Nails. If you remember in the original review I informed the girls that we were diabetics and they reassured us "no problem" which in English is watch out! As most places add a plastic bag to soak our feet in they reassured use that these were disinfected and no worries for a bag so feet will not get infected. Heard that before haven't you?! You know, I have nothing more to say about Fungus Nails, I mean Fancy Nails except that if you are a diabetic or have any other issues or things that concern you, this place is not where you need to go or want to put your health in jeopardy in. Of course I have past this information on to all the agencies and BBB and the city and let it runs it's course now. I just can't be more firm when I say, please be careful and watch everything they do and make sure EVERYTHING is clean and sanitary, please and remember they are talking behind your back! My mom and I went here today hoping to find a new place. Walking in it's very clean and welcoming. Loved the tv showing different nail styles and how to do them. Everything was looking great until two of the younger workers came to seat us. The male named Ryan seemed like he didn't want to be there. Throwing the polish I just handed him into his portable box. Throwing towels down next to me. After he painted my nails he walked away and sat at another table on his phone and didn't say another word or even look up. He didn't come back to put a clear coat over the polish. I've never felt so uncomfortable getting a pedicure before. We paid 100$ to get crappy service in a nice place. I came in with my friend to do mani & pedis and I recieved the worst manicure ever. I was helped by an older woman and she was doing my nails in such a rush. She would switch out my hands from under the UV light before the timer was even finished!! There wasnt even anyone waiting to be helped so i don't understand why she was rushing the process. this caused for all of my gel nail polish to literally peel off 3 days later! It all peeled off so easily like a sticker. I am very unhappy. waste of my money and I don't plan to return anytime soon read more

I saw Kim, she doesn't have good customer service, I asked her several times for recommendations , and she wasn't able, she keep saying "I don't know", she did my nails in a hurry, she was very interested in finishing fast rather than taking care of the customer, then I paid and they charge me more on my card . i'm soo dissatisfied with this salon. i came in to get a nail repair & fill, they were able to help me right away but the older lady who did my nails was very rude, it seemed like she did not want to be there at all. with my nail repair she did not even measure the nail tip, it was way to big for my nail which caused it to curve downward. with my fill she was doing a very sloppy job & acrylic was all underneath my natural nail, so when it came time to her having to take off that excess acrylic she was very rough & was yanking it off. on my pinky nail she pulled so hard that underneath the nail it would not stop bleeding!!! it was extremely painful & she continued to be very rough on that nail! after the service she still did not apologize & still charged 35$ i've never been through any type of bad experience like that. read more

Was my "go to" nail salon for many years. Something happened a couple years ago and they lost all their good staff employees. Went a few times after hoping the newer staff would "catch on" - always sadly disappointing! During pedi the previous polish isn't completely removed, they never cleaned under my nails, the cuticles were not trimmed, nails were not cut or filed - leaving them uneven. I felt rushed and uncomfortable. The staff interacts only with each other. Never going back. read more

Bad service, they take on too many customers that walk in and don't have enough staff so they rush mess up your nails. They do a terrible job on pedicures again rushing to get to another customer. If you don't have enough staff have customers make appointments to come back and focus on the customers you have in front of you so you get the job done right! I walked into Fancy Nails in La Quinta without an appointment and was greeted by Q in a very friendly personable manner. The salon was very clean, calm and welcoming. Thy did a wonderful shellac manicure with neck massage and then I received a fabulous pedicure from Lisa. I found both treatments to be very relaxing and not rushed even though other walk-ins arrived and were waiting.
