I come inside with my PSD animal and he denies me entry then asks to see my letter (which is a violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act), I proceed to show him and once I do, he still denies me entry inside the bar and asks me to sit outside. I'm beyond upset because my animal has federal rights which he has breached and then tells us to leave. Extremely upset at the lack of humility and education of this manager and he tells us to "call the police." Mental health is a serious issue and for him to treat it as a joke is appalling and he has lost our business and I will be telling everyone about this. read more

Fantasia brings back a lot of old memories!! I'm talkin about 18 years old!! haha!! Yes, I feel like a old man saying that... I used to come here almost every other day with my buddies back in the day. A friend and I decided to swing by here cause I realllllly wanted to play pool. I'm not sure what it was but I totally wanted to play, but my biggest reservation is that every time I've come here at night, there is a crazy wait! I'll explain the crazy wait to you... we arrived at 11pm and didnt get a table til about 12:15am. Its seriously crazy, but then I guess business is good! We chilled and got a drink... I asked for strawberry lemonade, and they dont have that... I asked for Arnold Palmer, and the sweet waitress told me they dont have anything with lemonade (so heartbreaking...). So I asked if she could get me a cherry coke, and she asked if she could get me a coke with cherries in it... lol So we made a deal. The wait time was long, but it was cool to just kick with my buddy. We got hungry waiting and finally got our table. Our waitress changed (the first was SUPER nice - didnt get a name but she looked young and had sand brown hair). Then we got another fairly sweet waitress who told us that the kitchen is taking last calls, and she needs to know the order Now, LOL. We were like - we dont even know what you have! lol So we asked her to just surprise us with two to three appetizers and she didnt want to make the choice, so she was kind enough to wait while we chose. We got chicken tenders and nachos which were brought out fairly quick. And now.... the games begin!! Game 1 - my buddy loses cause he made the 8 ball Game 2 - I lose head to head fighting to get the 8 ball in to win! Game 3 - my buddy loses cause he made the 8 ball Game 4 - I get creamed... horrible game!! Game 5 - Dont call it a comeback, I've been here for years! haha... I Win!! For an hour of play, a few drinks, nachos and chicken tenders (which I forgot to mention tasted pretty freakin good!!) the bill came to $53. Not too shabby for all that and 2-3hrs of fun! I honestly like this place, I dont like it as much as I did 18 years ago cause back then it wasnt as packed, but its a cool spot to go and just kick it and have fun! I'll totally go again in the future. I wish the owner looked into purchasing what was backside records next door and expand so people wouldnt have to wait forever. Fantasia is a relatively large bar/poolhall that can get absolutely packed at times. For me, it's where our colleagues traditionally go to have their sending-off, so there have been a good few reunions there after work. Walking towards Fantasia meets you with the nice, but small patio area where smokers can go outside for a cigarette break with drink in hand. Inside, the pool tables are clean and well kept, though pricing is higher than most other places due to it. Food here is amazing if you're drunk, but in general it's bar food. Not a ton of TV's around, but I don't believe they tout themselves as a pure sports bar. Alcohol pricing is standard for the upscale bar world, so don't expect to have a light impact on the wallet. Service can get bogged down very quickly when the evening starts hitting, and there's not a whole lot of room to make like to order a drink. Tables are cleared relatively quickly, and the servers sometimes come around to ask if you need anything. I've always had an easy time with the staff, and have never encountered a time where I received sass or the like. The biggest downside is parking! You should fully expect to park far and walk a bit, might even have to pay for parking close by. read more

This is a nice place to go with friends to have some fun playing pool or arcade games and get your alcohol/bar-food fix at the same time. It has a nice vibe and the music that gets played here is not annoying loud. Last time we were there it was all 90's music which was kind of cool. There are so many pool tables so although the place is not empty but we never had to wait to get a table. The drinks are just the usual you'd get in a sports bar and the food is OK. Fantasia still remains to have a great upkeep as they are one of the better billiards/sports bars to visit period! I've been coming here since the early 2000's and the charm and liveliness of the place still holds its appeal. The waitress are beautiful, they have a full bar (most billiards places only serve beer), and tons of tables. One more thing! I am a trans woman and I was illegally forced to use the men's room while at Fantasia Billiards. By the Gender Non-discrimination Act of 2004, no one in California may be forced to use the restroom that does not match their gender identity. Please do not patronize their business. __ I was at Fantasia on Wednesday, 5/30/18 around 10 PM when I had to use the restroom. I had already gone once to the women's restroom without incident that night. As I made my way to use the bathroom, a security guard literally ran across the room to stop me. I was then asked to show my ID. I complied. I was told that because the gender marker on my ID said Male, I had to use the men's room. They then stated that this was just "the law." Again, I complied, not wanting to deal with bigoted nonsense because I just had to pee. My friends went back to the bar to talk to management and found out that no customers had complained about my presence in the women's room. So apparently it was just their own agenda that made them prevent me from just...peeing. This whole ordeal left me feeling gross, ugly, depressed, and most importantly, unwelcome in what I thought was a safe and accepting environment. I had been to Fantasia multiple times before, and to find out that apparently I had never been welcome here hurts a lot. So, I have walked by this place a zillion times on my way to Granville, but have never gone in because it just didn't seem like some where I would want to go. But, a friend wanted to play pool, I Yelp'd "pool in Burbank" and found Fantasia. I read the reviews and there were all over the place. Well, I am pretty picky, but I thought what the heck. Well, it turned out to be a good place and I had a lot of fun. It is not upscale or swanky, Want drinks, snacks and pool in this area, this is it. The place is really big which you wouldn't guess from the storefront. There is an outside patio with a TV that allows smoking - good for some and bad for others. Inside there is a big bar and TVs everywhere. There are probably 20+ pool tables, an electronic darts area and a few arcade games scattered about. The biggest complaints seem to be about the restroom which I didn't use, so can't comment. We went on a Sunday afternoon so it wasn't crowded, but there was still a fair crowd. The staff was friendly and made sure we had drinks. The tables rent by the hour, just pick a table, get its number and tell the bartender. I wouldn't know the difference, but my friend said the tables and cues where just OK, some better than others and some not so good. If you love billiards, then this is the spot to go! Probably the cheapest happy hour to play pool around town. Crowd is a bit mature...40s and upwards but gets pretty exciting around NFL games. They have ample amounts of TVs to satisfy any sport junkies needs. They also have darts and foosball in the back. Last but not least, they offer a private room on the second floor with one pool table for private parties. The service is terrible. Our waitress accused customers of unruly behavior without any proper grounds/reasoning/logic. The atmosphere is okay, but the service is terrible. Marie was not kind or respectful. This location would otherwise have great reviews. I've been here before and have received great service, but this was another level of rude. I went to Fantasia a couple weeks ago to watch the UFC fight. I was thrilled when I realized that there was no cover. But that means that they'll let anybody in. Including a half dozen members of the Fatboy Mafia. A couple hours in and they've hassled my waitress hard enough that they all get thrown out. An hour later two guys that had walked in as friends have now downed a pitcher or two of beer and they start swinging. I help break up the fight and and nearly loose my drink in the process. Hmm. We have been going to Fantasia for years now because of the UFC Pay-per-View's that are shown here. They have flat screen TV's everywhere, so we feel like we're sitting in the actual venue, but even better because we feel like we have "front-row" seats. Fantasia Billiards a very well-run establishment, with plenty of security measures to make sure that there's a peaceful atmosphere, and yet everyone's having a great-and safe time! I love how this place is open very late. But this is the most expensive billards place I have ever played in. I came on a Wednesday night at around 11pm. They had a great assortment of beers and over 15 pool tables. There was plenty of seating, flat screens all around the room and a big table for big parties. I like how everything is clean and the set up of the pool tables, bar and restaurant was great! They do have happy hour i believe from 8pm-midnight for beer. The charge is about $14.00 per hour per pool table. (pretty expensive, but im not sure if this is cheap in the area) I love how there is no belligerent, drunk, and annoying people. If the billards charge per hour was cheaper, I would def come back more often. read more

Such a fun place for really good food and great drinks. I love coming here with friends. The outdoor bar is super cozy and nice, seating at the indoor bar is spacious, and their booths are rounded and perfect for conversation. If you are into pool, this is the place for you. The full bar has an impressive selection and a nice list of craft beer. My vegetarian friend loves the veggie burger here and drives in from out of town just to have one. I cant attest to that but I will say they have the best club sandwich in Burbank, and their pattymelt is on point. For bar nibbles I suggest the teriyaki wings, taco trio, and chilli fries. Share them...or don't. The staff here ROCKS. During a lunch the waitress accidentally forgot to add bacon to my friend's sanwhich so she came out with a side of bacon and bought 2 of our drinks. Not only was she sweet about the whole thing but she also intrinsically understands the importance of bacon. Now how can you go wrong with staff like that! What a difference time and sobriety makes. I started this review awhile ago. Yep, im not sure exactly how long ago either. It been awhile but I decided to return to Fantasia, yet again. (Hmmm, I keep coming back son that is a good sign.) This place can be diffuclut to expalin. It is a bit on the dive bar side but more upscale if that makes any sense to you. The food and management are wildly inconsistent which is the reason I stopped coming. (But I keeping coming back. Hmmm, I'll need to reflect on that.) Pool is greatly discounted during happy hour. I recommend it. The staff seems to turnover frequently. But I wouldn't describe any of them (old staff) as particularly nice. But the current new staff is amaxing. It is great for watching pay per view events. It gets really crowded for these so early arrival is a must. The food is well basic bar food. I liked this place. Mostly because they supplied free pool time when you have lunch. Otherwise they prices seemed kind of steep. Was it $12 an hour for one person? Well it's a nice place I guess I really shouldn't compare it to the hole in the wall joint I use to frequent when I was a kid. I thought the food was good and reasonably priced. The place was pretty empty when we got there so we were served fast. Also, when we were there they were remodeling the bathrooms, so by the time you go they should have really nice bathrooms. So I wanted to like this place, I really did, sadly there is just nothing to like and plenty of better alternatives, with management and employees who will actually give you the time of day. I went to this spot for my birthday last week and had "supposedly" booked their "golden room" from 9pm to 12am close. Upon getting there they let me up and took my card and told me a tab would be opened up on the card that was paying for the room. My friend and I ordered two margs while we waited for the rest of the party to show up. Those margs took about 20 mins to come out even though everyone else on the floor was just playing pool, drinking beer or wells. Later on my friends ordered three shots of Casa and they took roughly 15-20 mins to come out. Shots. An ounce and a half pour three times.. The server also just wrote in her own 30 percent tip on the tip line as well so there's that. Great opportunity for scam artists if they're looking for a job. I booked this so called "Gold Room" that was suppose to be a premium billiards experience or so I thought. I get up into the room and spend about 15 mins looking around the room for pool balls and a triangle on an empty pool table... They knew a booking had been made, shouldn't that have already been there? Anyway when the server finally came back up with our margs I asked if we could get some balls and she was like sure! She never returned. We waited for what should have only been a max ten mins until finally I just went down and got them myself. The server gave me a look like she had totally forgot about us up there as she saw me bringing them back up. Whatever, it happens. I just wanted to play pool as the clock was ticking and the minutes were my money at that point. Suddenly as some of my other friends arrived a bunch of random people showed up and started coming into the room around 10pm. I was confused and asked them who they were since I had been the one to "supposedly" book out this room. They responded saying they were the ones who had rented out this room.... Needless to say we all went down to talk to management and figure out what the hell was going on. The management and staff had ZERO idea what was happening and had to go check their office PC numerous times before telling me that they didnt have my info or credit card on file even though I had booked a whole week in advance with some "Ghost" manager on the phone. Anyway the manager said their was nothing he could do and nothing he could do for us to compensate their own fuck up but that I could be assured the manager who did it would be fired or reprimanded. Doubtful. Still ended up tiping my waitress 20 bucks but in hindsight idk what for. Finally after 25 mins of talking with the manager telling him "Hey look this is your fuck up. The losing team has to get something here." He agreed to Void my tab since that tab wouldnt have exisited if i hadn't thought I had a reservation. So now myself and all my friends who rearranged their schedules to be there on my birthday are now displaced as we desperately try to find a new place to go to. One of the servers runs up and says she just talked with the onwer of the spot, Henry, and says that we can reserve the spot next Saturday for free since this was their fuck up. Not sure what happened since the manager told us Henry said there was nothing he could do? I give her my email. Name. Phone number and the time. she says ok everything is all good and that the room would be available for us today, this Saturday which is the day I'm writing this review. I call in yesterday and they seem to totally have forgotten again so either they are all high when scheudling and forgetting everything or they just lie through their teeth to get a problem off their backs. I Reaccounted what I was told and That Henry (the owner) said I could get the room for this Saturday night for free since they fucked up my birthday last Saturday. The lady on the phone was like "ok perfect we can get you the room, could you give me your information?" I give it to her a third time. Shes says im all good. Then, Feeling a little uneasy I reminded her that Henry said this would be a free room booking on the house since they screwed up the booking for me previously. All the sudden she didn't sound so confident anymore... Told me that she had to "check something" and that she would call me back or text me. She asked if this was my cell phone number that I was calling off of. I said yes it was. Then she said she would get back to me ASAP. As you can probably guess with how things seem to go here it is now Saturday night 9:09pm and still I haven't heard a single thing back from them. Honestly I should have expected it. They clearly had no intentiuon of ever making it right with the customer and probably never will. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere better. Mainly because we came back with our dad so my brother was actually able to play like he originally wanted a couple days ago, but also because the bartender that was working (I didn't get her name but it was around 3pm and she loved Prince) was super cool, upbeat and friendly to all of us and everyone else in the place. Whatever your name was, keep doing what you're doing because I've been to plenty of bars (and even worked in one before) and WAY too many bartenders are jaded and act like they're the coolest thing ever. The original guy that denied us entry was luckily not there... not that I expected there would have been any problems, just because I didn't want there to be any weirdness whatsoever that could've potentially tainted our experience again. Original review below: My 13-year-old brother felt like playing pool so I tasked him with looking up places that weren't bars exclusively and allowed minors. He called this place up and was excited to tell me that they said minors were allowed before 8 or 9 as long as they were accompanied by an adult. We drove out here from Sherman Oaks, walked in at 6pm and the guy at the entrance (also the manager apparently) asked for our IDs. I said I had mine but that we were just there to play pool, and he told me my brother wasn't allowed in there unless I was literally his actual parent or legal guardian. I'm 25. To his credit, he was apologetic about the situation and for whoever dropped the ball about not being more specific as to the strict parent/guardian requirements which is the only thing keeping this from a 1-star review. Pretty pissed about the enormous waste of time and having to see my poor little brother's excitement fade from his face the moment we walked in the door and having HIM apologize to me for suggesting this place when the fault didn't lie on him at all. The pool is kinda expensive, but may be because the only time I came I was teaching a guy from the office how to play...To be honest, we mainly used to come here cause of the lady table servers...sad, I know. But I work in an IT software company (i.e. 99.9% men) so we're deprived! ;-) Fantasia is close to work, but not being a sports fan, or a big pool player we just come for the booths, the beer and some average bar food (think pizza, fries, burgers) to unwind. There are a few bar options in Downtown Burbank and I'd have to say this is one of the better ones I've been to. It's got a nice feel to the place. Kind of dark, but isn't that how a pool hall is supposed to be? While I didn't come here to play pool, I did go to drink. The bartenders here are friendly and they pour a great pint of Newcastle. It's probably the best Newcastle on tap I've ever had. They offer a nice selection of bar food and it's decent. After drinking all the beer, you need something in your system to soak it up and there's nothing better than greasy food to do the job. Overall, it's just a great place to hang out and maybe watch a game. If you can't have fun here, then I don't know where you can. read more

This is one of the only places in downtown Burbank that has a smoking patio, which is part of the reason I think they are still open. Terrible! I've been coming here for YEARS. Never have had issues here, until about my last two visits. This past Friday we had the most horrible service by Nina. Right from the start she had a very rude attitude, messed up our order, found my debt card in the restroom when Nina was SUPPOSED to have it. The icing to the night was upon receiving our bills, mind you we had 4 cards on file. We all put $0.00 as tip. Since we all had CASH we were tipping with I know bartenders/servers would prefer it. BUT before we got to chance to, Nina very rudely stated "we obviously didn't work in the service industry and they depend on tips" and walked away. Sunday rolls in suddenly all 4 different cards are restrictions stating they had fraud charges. Beware! This place was great to come to until their new staff is terrible. Been to this place several times now for Ufc as well as just to play billiards. This place was even happening on a random Tues. Who knew. If you go on a night for Ufc, get there ealry. They is a cover as with most bars for Ufc fights. The music is a lil weird at times but they have a jukebox so you can't really blame the bar. They play other music when the jukebox isn't being fed. The bartender seemed legit since he gave way more than a shot when my tequila shot was chilled. Since ice waters down the shots a lil, the bartender gave more quantity to make it a full shot. The server Nicole was super nice and came by frequently to check up on us despite the place being pretty busy. She was cute so that made things even better.
