I met Whitney in the shop area, she greeted me with a smile. I explained the reason for my visit. She advised me that the Technician was on break, then she then told me to bring my bike into the shop and someone would assist me. It was just a few minutes later, I met Hadrian. He and Whitney weren't sure how to make it fold either initially. Then, I remembered I had a manual ony phone. I showed it them. Hadrian and Whitney figured it out immediately. The next thing I knew, my bike was folded!!! He did it so fast, I barely saw what he did. It was as if he had been doing this for years. I tried and still couldn't fold it. I asked him to please show me again, he immediately obliged me. They absolutely positively unequivocally made my day! They were so welcoming, polite, courteous, personable. They provided me with outstanding customer service. REI is fortunate to have them as employees. Thank you Whitney and Hadrian for a job well done, I truly appreciate you. If anyone ever asks me to refer a Bike Shop, I guarantee it will be REI~this location.

I wanted to buy knee high socks and the salesperson, Heather, directed me to the display. I brought a couple of pairs to the register to buy them. Luckily, Heather noticed that the XS size was actually for children. She asked what size shoes I wore and we determined the socks would be too small. Thank you Heather for preventing me from buying them and then having to return to Vacaville to bring them back.

Thanks to the VIP program, I was able to exchange them within the 90-day return window and work with Travis again. Travis is knowledgeable, patient, and great at explaining how each shoe moves and supports your foot. Based on his demonstration, I switched to the Brooks Glycerin Flex, and I'm glad I did. During a run, I stepped into a hole in the pavement, and I truly believe the stability of the shoe helped keep the injury from being much worse. Road Runner Sports is an excellent resource for runners and athletes because the staff considers your stride, foot strike, comfort, and activity level--not just the shoe's appearance. The prices are comparable to other retailers, but here you also receive expert guidance and the added protection of the VIP return policy. It was out of the 90 day guarantee window, so he did not expect a free pair of shoes, more guidance on why they're starting to do that when he was told the insoles will help combat that. The young lady that helped us said the insoles were cut wrong, and asked the manager if he would replace them, as they were done incorrectly. The manager said no, as it was out of the 90 day guarantee window. Should the insoles had worn down because of my husband, that's different. Because they were cut incorrectly, that is the stores fault, not my husbands. The young lady asked if he would like his old (cut incorrectly) insoles in his new shoes. Why would that help if they were cut incorrectly? We left with a new pair of shoes, no insoles, and very dissatisfied. I would not purchase custom insoles here, as they are not what they are marketed.

She was always polite and professional, and she helped us with our coupon situation. We had business in the area, and it'd been a while since I'd been into my favorite store, so I decided to get some necessary items for my closet. After looking at the sales racks and then the regular inventory, I finally came to a decision that that should do nicely. Our purchases neatly filled one of their large shopping bags. And we walked out with a smile on our face. Because everyone in that store gave us excellent customer service. That was from the minute we entered the minute we left.
