I enjoyed the fantastic Farm Burger, Farm Fries, mango lemonade and finished off with the oatmeal raisin cookies. Everything is made at the restaurant and could not be better! This is a great spot for a quick bite to eat. It looks like a little farm, it's so cute, quiet and quant. They have cheese burgers, hotdogs, chicken paninis (my favorite). There chicken is hormone free, and antibiotic free, you don't really see many places that enforce that. I am obsessed with chicken, so for me this stole my heart. I can't even begin to tell you how amazing my chicken panini was, the chicken was so tender, delicious, I haven't had chicken like this in months. You can really taste the difference, I would give them 8 stars just for how honest and how natural the chicken tasted. They also have amazing desserts like pie, brownies, and even homemade cookies. They really do have have works, from what I seen when I went there was plenty to choose from. I did not leave there disappointed, and to be honest I think I paid $7.00 for the panini. Went here today and let me tell you, it was phenomenal!!!!! We had a BEC & pulled pork sandwich and both were equally amazing. The rolls they use are absolutely delicious. I've driven past the Farm Stand more times than I can count and never knew they had a cafe. After searching Yelp for a good burger, I found the Farm Stand and went just a few hours later. My mom and I stopped in for lunch on a weekday. The place was empty except for one other patron eating at a table. They have a decent menu displayed on the wall above the counter. We both ordered the farm burger and split a side of fries. They have a variety of tables inside, in a inside covered patio space, as well as picnic tables outside. The burger was fantastic especially for the price point. Cheese was perfectly melted, great sauce, crisp lettuce. Overall, fantastic choice for a quick(ish) lunch. So my wife and baby girl and I were coming from Westwood, NJ after they had accompanied me to a hot yoga class.. yeah....guys do hot yoga too.. it's 2013.. open up your mind.. I'm only going to really review one food dish. IF you know me.. you know I am a burger connoisseur of sorts. And IF you REALLY know me... you know that I live and die by Shack Shack. Today, time has split into two: BSS and ASS.. before Shake Shack.. and after Shake Shack... And in these times, The 8 oz farm burger from the Farm Stand is the new standard for how a burger should be made. I took one bite of this juicy, flavored filled, piece of heaven, and I immediately ran back into the dining area and belted out for the individual who cooked this burger.. the cook confessed up to it.. I then told him, "I want to hug you right now... I'm not going to because it's probably socially unacceptable.. but just know that I want to." He was confused nonetheless.. So about this burger.. the bun..wow.. it was like a freshly made potato roll..just the right amount of sweetness and a great texture.. the veggies.. I've never seen a bigger tomato slice.. and so fresh! Note that I get my burgers the same everywhere so I can compare .. so I get cheese, tomato, lettuce, no onions.. So I actually asked for a side of mayo, but the owner basically told me NO.. which I thought was peculiar, but then she told me that there was a special sauce that only they make...WHAT?!?... SPECIAL SAUCE?!?! .. ok...let's do this... and do it I did.. I have no idea what that special sauce was, but it was on the money.. I honestly don't know why there isn't a line at this place like the ones at Shack Shack's around the world.. probably because these are simple farm owners just looking to feed the neighborhood.. you know.. not really advertising.. relying on word of mouth.. Met family for an early brunch on Sunday. While our reservation was accepted for 10:30am, brunch would not be served until 11am. The restaurant courteously called us to ensure our seating would be accommodated. Friendly staff, large portions, delicious breakfast potatoes and burritos! Excellent service! Went here on Saturday 07/18/20 in the afternoon. Very hot out but they had picnic tables outside with umbrella's which made it bearable. Had the farm burger and fries. My friend had the blueberry pie. Both were good but may I make a suggestion. 8 oz of meat is just too much for some people. Maybe have a 4 or 5 oz available for the rest of us and maybe make "sliced white onion" available? I also loved the fact that they hire "special-needs" persons. A tranquil gem amidst the bustle of Bergen County. My sister and I stopped here for lunch and were so glad we did. We both had the veggie burger which was delicious - a nice healthy patty with crispy lettuce, a thick slice of beefsteak tomato and some kind of secret yummy sauce. I also bought the lentil soup and eggs to take home. Lentil soup is my favourite so I'm pretty picky about it and this one was among the best I've had. The eggs were fresh and very large. I have been passing this place for years and always was intrigued by the buzz surrounding the food and specifically the burgers. I have been across the street to the antique shops and love that they've expanded with lots of choices. So, this spring I had some time to kill before visiting a friend in Dumont and decided to stop in for a quick lunch. I have to say that the ladies waiting on me couldn't have been sweeter, a very old fashioned kind of vibe that I love. I ordered a burger rare, as I always do, and a cookie. I really had high hopes for the burger from all the yelp reviews that I read but OMG, what on Earth is going on here! I'm certain that my burger was frozen and therefore getting it rare was undoable as it was grey, dry and nearly void of any taste! In a word, it just tasted like a hunk of meat and possibly not fresh at all. I prefer char-broiled which I knew this was not, but come on, even grilled, this should have had some taste. I couldn't force myself to finish this thing and really wanted to go back inside but the ladies were too sweet and I was too angry. The cookie was fine but also didn't taste fresh baked, more like a commercial bakery cookie but I was ok with that. This visit was in April, I believe. Did I come on the wrong day? BTW, even breakfast prices are a little on the high side for roadside food. I would still give it 5 stars for service but that burger should be taken off the menu or reported to the health department. I'm hoping that the owners will kindly respond to my issue, no harm intended here and I plan on returning to try the home made ice cream this season. Decided to try this place for Saturday lunch on a whim and was very pleasantly surprised!! This is a quaint sandwich and burger stand. The menu is limited but what they have is made well and with love. I highly recommend the cheeseburger or the bacon egg and cheese sandwich as well as the iced macchiato (keep in mind the coffee is german style: lots of milk and topped with whipped cream!) One of the nice things about this place is their semi-indoor/outdoor seating on the patio. It is a hodgepodge of antique furniture that gives the place a truly "farm" feel! Fair warning: "farm" in the name may be misleading, this is not a heath-conscious place so don't expect tons of veggies or acai bowls or anything like that. The food is greasy- but in the best way. They also have delicious homemade cookies and ice cream. This is a unique place with owners who clearly put a lot of care into what they do. I recommend trying this place out! read more

Well the service was friendly except I ordered a veggie burger and 1/3 way through said this tastes too meaty to be veggie. So I called and "eventually" heard an "Im sorry" (I wasn't supp to have meat!) From the way I was taught in business you make a mistake, you make reparations--There was no offer to credit me back my $ or take my name so My next time in id have a veggie burger gratis--nothing! Mistake no 1. If that's what their large signs are outside for this angus burger, mine was no homemade burger but a meat patty on a challah roll--come on? Mistake no 2. The lemonade was weak and the prices ridiculous. A mini pie is $9.95!! A top of the line bakery like Le Gateau Suisse or The Riviera Bakehouse don't even come near $20 for a regular size pie and theres are double the height and incredibly delicious flavor--theres no milk nor egg wash for it even to look like the pie was cooked but rather raw. And if you saw the toppings on my burger or the 1/4 cup of pork they put on the pulled pork sandwich, its a disgrace for almost $9. Mistakes no 3.& 4. When you look at the prices like $4. for 8 oz. ice cream, not even organic--do you realize it comes to $32. A half gallon . Sorry I gave you a chance but you won't get my money ever again. Ps. It took us 30 minutes to wait for them to warm up my daughter's Mac and Cheese!!! The workers were friendly, but so disorganized. They gave me only Mac and Cheese, but I paid for several items. Farm Burger at $6.95 (incl. farm fresh lettuce, juicy heirloom tomatoes, housemade pickle, bacon, cheese and 8 oz patty, challah bun) stands alone and arguably sit at the top of best burger list. And lets not forget about the fries, another $2 and you'll get to taste these unforgettable fries - soft in the inside, well seasoned super crunchy in the outside. I washed mine down with a bottle of Shirley Temple soda. Life is good. Their breakfast sandwich with 2 fried farm fresh eggs, bacon, cheese in a brioche bun was one of the best breakfast sandwich out there. Mainly, because the eggs were super fresh, organic and cage free. They sold it for $6 a dozen. They also sell refreshing mango lemonade, which was great for hot summer days. read more

I really wanted to give this place 5 stars because it is so unlike any of the places that a New Yorker frequents. The farm was a great change of pace. Perhaps it was because we visited off-season (March 2015, when winter was still showing no signs of leaving), but the 8 oz farm burger ($6.95) that they featured was very dry. It was clearly frozen beforehand, which itself is not a bad thing, but I think it had been frozen for a while. So that was disappointing. And also, there is no ventilation in the inside eating area, so when you walk in, it smells like a deep-fryer, and everything that I was wearing was saturated with oil by the time we left. The strawberry rhubarb pie ($6.95) was excellent though, and so it warrants a star on its own. I went here twice so far and they have been consistent. First time was the Saturday before today, and on Thursday I had five guys and there is absolutely no comparison. If the New York times says five guys was rated the best burger in the country then I understand why Donald Trump has a unfavorable view, because there is no comparison. All the ingredients are fresh and the bun is the most amazing part which keeps all ingredients in sync while eating without a sloppy slip and slide. In addition the environment is that much more amazing where you have stepped in the past when the quality of ingredients were great. This is a absolute hidden gem in closter new Jersey and Bergan County. After we eat, we like to wander around the beautiful farm de-stressing. They have chickens, bees, pumpkins, haystacks, and an amazing view of the reservoir.
