So I moved to this area and I was happy we finally stopped in after driving by everyday. My son loved feeding the chickens and walking around. Their fresh lavender is always available and the sauce was good too. The cookies and pies are fresh and my son liked the ice cream. I'm happy to have gone! It's a cute family owned farm, we did a day trip to walk around and browse the thrift shop that's across the street. Definitely worth a trip and make sure you take some cash for cute little jewelry and fun trinkets for the kids :) read more

Looks can be deceiving. Inside a simple looking building they serve amazing burgers, soup and baked goods for incredible prices. They also sell their homemade jams and fresh eggs which I cannot recommend highly enough. Their main building is being renovated and it is really starting to come together. If you're in the area stop by for a delicious lunch and great ingredients to take home to your kitchen too. read more

From all the hype on Yelp, I went to try the Farm Burger. Love the idea of this place--a local, family-run business selling farm to table food and products. I thought $13 was a bit pricey for a cheeseburger and lemonade, but hey, it must be really good right? I rarely have a burger these days and was really looking forward to biting into a juicy one. But sadly it was charred and hard and any juice that had been there had been cooked the living s*** out of. I get it--it's local and supposed to be rustic. I saw the rustic part, but wasn't really impressed with the food. I think it could be a really wonderful place if the porch seating was tidied up and perhaps with a fresh coat of paint or something. I'm a food photographer, I get around. When I drove by this old run down farm stand with the "Open" sign I just had to go in. Welcome to the 50's with real home made food. I took home a chicken pot , a dozen fresh eggs from out back and some of their honey. The pot pie had crust top and bottom and all white meat chicken. I put the Pot Pie in the oven for dinner (fresh not frozen) it was incredible. Had eggs over easy this morning and it's what you read about when the chefs brag about using fresh farm eggs to make pasta in Italy (which is why "they" claim we will never taste great pasta her in the states) Can't wait to go back and really eat lunch there read more

Love the burger and paninis. Everything is pretty much homemade and the taste it's great! My husband and I will pass by here all the time, and never really realized they had a restaurant inside. One day we decided to come in and now we come a few times per month for the burger and my daughter loves feeding the chicken when we come too. read more

I don't know her name, but I've never met such a rude person in a food establishment in my life. Older lady, heavy accent (sounded German). We arrived at 4:15pm - sign on the door said open until 5pm. When she was handing us our food, she announced that we should take it to go because they were closing. So I said, NO - you should have told us that when we were ordering - we live too far to take hamburgers home - they would be awful by the time we got there. She huffed and puffed and came outside to our picnic table 5 minutes later and announced, "I'm sorry, but we're closing" and took our food away from us. It was a mediocre burger at best, but the rudeness was five star. I will never return. read more

Sometimes I bike here instead of to Nyack. VERY basic set-up, awesome egg sandwich. If your'e not on a bike you can take out all kinds of pies and stuff. Very friendly people. It's on a farm that must be 50 or 100 acres, so a real farm stand with real chickens and crops. read more

This place has great burgers but you definitely have to try there fries it's better than any Mcdonald's fries hands down. The bakery has assorted pies and cakes. Just enjoy the food the place is a little small and starting to look a little dated but you go for the food. read more

Not a bad burger. Big but not thick and nicely dressed. It was served on a fresh bun that is soft and toasted nice. $10 for a burger and Virgils Root Beer. I woukdnt make a special trip here but the homey atmosphere is fun. Wood burning smells nice outside. Would be nice to sit outside on a nicer day. read more

This place has nothing to hide. You get what you see, and it's all very honest, homemade food. A good friend and I stopped by in around lunch time to try their signature farm burger. It was fresh off the grill and piping hot. The burger drips out some grease while you're eating it, but hey, you don't eat a burger if you're trying to be healthy. It definitely hits the spot. We also had their homemade cookies and cream ice cream. It comes in a small cute plastic container. Ours had some ice crystals and was rather hard, but it may have been that the ice cream wasn't as fresh since people don't buy as much ice cream during the colder months. The ice cream is kept in the freezer behind the cash register. I have to try the ice cream again when the weather gets warmer. Besides the quaint offerings of luncheon food, the cafe also sells various jarred sauces and home baked goodies. They even had a jar of burnt cookies that you could buy for a huge discount! Again, this cafe seems very honest. They have nothing to hide in what they sell. I hope to return again to try their other offerings and to also support one of our local farms. read more

Tried this place on a whim while looking for something quick to eat. Was not expecting much but man was that burger delicious!!! Every single bite was amazing! I do not even live close by but I cannot wait to come back. The fries were well seasoned and crispy. Also tried the mango lemonade very tasty and refreshing on a hot summer day. While eating I saw a bunch of people come in just for a carton of eggs. One lady came in for 3 cartons. The eggs must be good if people just come for them. I don't know if I can do this burger justice here in describing it, but I have had many a burger in my lifetime and this one is truly one of the very best I have had! I went in for some pumpkins and remembered someone mentioning the farm stand burger. It was full of flavor, perfectly cooked with the right amount of fresh lettuce, pickle and a beautiful tomato. It's on a bun that might be challah, but I'm not sure. It was soft and perfect. Combined with the special sauce, it was so, so delicious! And the fries........holy cow! They were so crispy on the outside, with just the right amount of sale, and soft on the inside. It is what a French fry should be. It is an unexpected surprise in a cute place that also sells quiches, mac & cheese, baked goods, soups and jars of jersey tomatoes. They also have breakfast. great juicy, delicious, inexpensive burgers. probably the best burger anywhere around here. unique place and great to let the kids run around and check out the chickens and rest of the place. Delicious farm fresh eggs also. eclectic mix of tables and chairs in a nice big seating area. we haven't been in the cold but there is a stove and firewood and it must be so cozy to enjoy a burger near the fire when it's cold outside. we'll have to find out. read more
