Not a good experience. From the lackadaisical attitude of the staff to the awful food it was just an all-around unpleasant experience... The girl at the counter was nice, but she did have trouble taking my order and then I waited and I waited and I waited even though the place was mostly empty, and finally, the order was ready, but for some reason, the burger tasted old. Farmer boys is my go to when I'm out in the field and I want a burger, but it just didn't taste right kind of stale and dry and just not good (like it usually is.) Honestly gave this place a chance besides the bad reviews but they are honestly warranted. I was on my lunch break and ordered an all natural avocado bacon burger, I took one bite of the burger and instantly felt like vomiting. My stomach was already gurgling, Didn't even finish the burger, went back to work and had to call off for the rest of the night. The pain was unbearable, felt like I got instant food poisoning, returned the food after I left my job for a refund and to my surprise when I inspected the burger with the cashier it was RAW PINK MEAT. The nice Cashier apologized for it even tho it wasn't his mistake and asked if I wanted to speak with the manager (I didn't but instead left this review) After I went home and puked CHUNKS OF RAW MEAT!!!! This is a major issue, someone could die from a mistake like this. The only take away was the cashier's great customer service. I would suggest to allow the cooks more time to properly cook and make the meals so they don't feel rushed, the majority of the complaints are how long the food takes, which I rather wait an extra 15mins for a fully cooked meal. Just happen to be in Fontana for business and with stomachs grumbling, we needed breakfast. There weren't many options so we stopped by Farmer Boys before heading out to the freeway. I ordered the pancake combo with eggs and I substituted the bacon with hash browns. Not bad service here since they bring your order to your seat. Like any Farmer Boys, they offer breakfast, burgers, salads, ect. Lots of burgers. Unfortunately, the regular burgers are bland and unflavorful. I ordered a regular burger with pickles and onions wrapped in lettuce that I threw on top of my salad. All I got to say is it was a lot of lettuce and not a lot of burger. The salad was nothing but lettuce and chopped raw tomatoes. Kind of wish I was on a date with Bugs Bunny. The Hubsters had the Farmer burger, which was a lot of burger piled sky high with quacamole. When he couldn't finish it, he offered it to me. I hate quacamole. I think the 1/3 lb all natural burgers are better. If your curious, which I strongly advise you not to be. They post the calorie content via the menu on the Yelp application. Which is exactly why I didn't not choose any of the other salads. Service is good. Definitely one of the strangest interactions I have ever had with a drive thru...(and drive thru is key here in this review). First, I am in Old Fontana to pick up some TV parts to fix the TV at 9:15am. Decide on my way back to grab a breakfast sandwich and a coffee. Being that it's 95 degrees at 9:15am, I asked for an "iced coffee." This created mass confusion and resulted in this back and forth: "I am sorry, we do not sell iced coffee." To which I asked: "Do you sell coffee?" "Yes." "Do you have ice?" "Yes." "So you do sell iced coffee. Can you pour some ice in a cup and then pour some coffee on top of it? I'll take some creme too." (I honestly didn't say it like that because I am not an a**ho** but I thought that in my head. It probably went more like "can I get some coffee then with some ice in it?") "No we can't do that sir." "Okay, can I get a coffee, with a cup of ice?" "Yes, we can do that." This seems like a conversation that we did not need to have. Anyway, I order my sandwich and proceed to the window. There is no one behind me. I pay. Again, I remind you there is no one behind me. She hands me a number - 86. And says, please proceed to the double doors in front (which happens to be in the front of the building near the handicapped parking area). Again, I remind you, there is no one behind me. As I wait for the sandwich for a normal amount of time - say less than five minutes - not one person went through the drive through. A woman in a mask comes out and hands me the sandwich. All of this could have been done at the window. I have eaten at Farmer Boy's before (not this one) and have never seen this procedure. I also came in contact with two team members when it could have/should have been one. I have seen large orders that take time to produce be asked to pull around the side and have the food delivered to them to keep the line moving, but that wasn't the case here since there was no one in line when ordered or after. And this doesn't seem to be a Covid-19 procedure, since I had MORE contact with MORE people than needed for this simple task. Would love to hear the rationale for this extremely odd procedure. read more

Based in Riverside, CA, Farmer Boys is a quick service style restaurant that specializes in burgers as well as breakfast entries. Since, I happened to be in the area, I had to try this place out! I was pleasantly surprised how fast, friendly the staff responded once I placed my order. Although I love burgers, I decided to cut back a little bit and go off the beaten path and selected the Chichen avocado combo on sourghdough bread. Wow, excellently prepared. Toasted, buttered and tasted with all the trimmings. The sandwich was delicious! There were so many burger options, that I will have to return again just to try them out!
