Famer boys has AMAZING costumer service that's why I am giving these 2 stars, BUT.... their fried zucchini and onion rings are super bland.. they honestly have no flavor except for the fact that they taste like moist veggies. Like I said, great costumer service but that food did not "WOW" me. You spend quite a bit of money with food that you can make at home and save on... my personal opinion. I ordered a Bell Ringer Combo (Hamburger) which included Fries and a drink. After waiting for about 12 minutes at the drive thru window I got my food. The only thing is I received a Chicken sandwich with Onion Rings, and didn't know this until I went home. I would give this place 0 stars if I could, as cliche as that sounds. Every time we go and order through the drive thru, the employees are flat out rude. Any modification you have to your order will get you a snarky attitude from the staff. Decided to try this place out tonight.. let me start by saying customer service was good. But that's about it. I ordered the Big Cheese. No flavor at all, barely any cheese. And thousand island is not something I want on my burger. Fries were soggy and tasted kinda old. Also way over priced. $22.00 for two combo meals. So had I take my 4 kids I would have easily spent $70. If your looking for a juicy flavorful burger pass on this place. Got to MOAB and leave happy for half the price. Not going back! Before I get to my review I'd like to say I was very excited to see this place open up, so writing this is a little painful. First of all, this place is a little outrageous on some of their prices. I spent $29.08 on a large cookies and cream milkshake ($4.99), a California BLT combo ($11.99), 7 pc fried zucchini ($4.99) and 7 pc onion rings ($4.99). I took my drive thru goodies home and shared them with my teenagers. My daughter loved the milkshake which was a good value. It was thick, had real whipped cream, and bits of cookies throughout. No problem here. The blt combo... NEVER AGAIN. The sandwich was small, regular bread size, low on bacon side, needing a liberal sprinkling of salt for flavor. My daughter felt the same way... actually, her exact words were "Mom, yours are so much better!" Yeah, I have to agree with her on that. The other part of the combo was a Pepsi which was good (they didn't screw up the syrup to seltzer ratio) and fries. The fries were a little limp/ soggy and desperately needed salt. The zucchini was a good value IF they would have had flavor. Seriously, these were honking huge...I was impressed until I bit into it. SALT people... it's a flavor enhancer. They were a tad undercooked but still would have been lovely had they seen the open end of a salt shaker. Smh....salt. Now on to the last item -_- onion rings. WOW. They had the appearance of being epic! SALT! The onion itself was nicely cooked and sweet but it was lost to a coating that didn't stick, got soggy and lacked flavor. SALT. I don't want to become a poster child for a hypertensive generation but for the love of all that's holy, don't be afraid of salt. I'd rather see salt on my food than msg... and when I'm forking out almost thirty bucks on next to nothing, I expect a superlative product. My son, an onion FIEND, threw his portion out. He was unimpressed. Actually, one third of this found its way into the rubbish bin... we just couldn't stomach trying to make it taste right... How sad I am to write this but I would hate to see someone else waste their hard earned money only to end up with the same experience... This was our first visit to Farmer Boys and we ordered The Big Cheese, The Bell Ringer, zucchini and French fries. The hamburgers were ok but sloppy and could have used some seasoning. The zucchini was gigantic but not seasoned, not even salt, the batter also didn't have any seasoning, and fell off the zucchini and stuck to the paper. The fries were ok. Maybe it was a fluke and the rest of the food is better but we were disappointed. They did provide good service though and handed out menus at the drive thru. The portion size of the zucchini was huge and I would have been happy with one piece cut into smaller pieces and seasoned properly. read more

I noticed this place close to my house while under construction. I went there the first week they opened. Food was great at first and I'd go there almost everyday for the first few weeks and tried a variety of things on the menu. First disappointment was that the quality was not always consistent. Occasionally something would be off. First, I'd get an omelet that was way over salted. Next I'd get it overloaded with cheese and full of grease. Same experience with the burgers. They were great at first. But then they started getting sloppy. And now they are always that way. Loaded with grease and soaked all the way through the bun. I started asking them to hold the sauce and pickles and etc. But still they'd come sloppy and soggy. And several times, I'd get them with all of the stuff that I'd ask them to hold. And this even happened when I was the only customer in the whole place. Honestly, I'm not one to complain. I usually let stuff go. But even I have my breaking point. This place has really started slacking. The employees used to be top notch. Always very polite. But even that has gone down hill. Example: Today I went in to order. Again, I am the only customer inside. I waited at the register for a minute or 2 while two employees were looking at a receipt that there was some issue over. I guess it was of higher importance than taking my order. Okay no big deal, so then when the girl starts taking my order, I am half way through telling her what I want and then the second employee walks up with that receipt and then all of the attention goes to that receipt and away from me. As I could see I was being ignored, I just stopped talking and waited for at least a minute before employee made eye contact with me again and asked me to continue. Okay, I normally am not this nit picky but when all of these little experiences stack up, it becomes a big deal. Wow! how to explain this place in short words isnt possible for me. The menu looks amazing and so does the food. The proportions were huge and i figure thats why the price is too! As far as that goes the food is TERRIBLE flavorless and bland. Missing salt on the zuccini. The burgers were not too good either. The batter they use just makes thigs worse. I got all hyped up thinking this place has to be good since they took the teryaki king spot. I suggest you dont waste your 11 dollars on a burger meal. I left with 40 dollars outta pocket and complete dissapointment. The food was equal to the blandness of home town buffet but at least its all you can eat. I suggest you drive right by it and go to in and out at least the price for flavor is cheaper and faster. I dont recomend anybody to go try this place out. I come here all the time I practically live here, there for it is HOME-MADE! Most of the Food here is locally sourced most of it coming out of the So-Cal Area. The Ladies here wonderful and attentive. Any problems they are here to help. Did they mention they make the house Ranch here from SCRATCH? The quality of the food here Starting off with the Organic Natural burgers leave you feeling clean after a wholesome American Meal. My first and last time I go there. I ordered my burger and requested extra pickles and didn't even get one in my burger. And on top of that I ordered chili cheese fries and they were disgusting. I lived by the farmer boys in riverbank for years and went there all the time. Then I moved to Prescott and shorty after, they built the farmer boys there. I love this new restaurant! The food is great and held up to my previous standard. Its a perfect lunch for in between classes, considering the fast service and the wide variety of menu options. I'm livid!! I've always driven 20-25 minutes away to the Ceres or Riverbank locations. So imagine my delight when Modesto got a location. Well let me tell you that restaurant is a major fail!!! I go and purchase a large zucchini order 3 to 4 times a week amongst other things. My order is wrong and burnt or old so often I've started having to order specifically, asking for fresh ones because of the times they've been inedible. But my absolute anger is at the treatment & ineptness of Destiny a "manager" . It's bad enough to receive your dinner incorrectly so often, but then to endure her rudeness when calling no about the mistake yet again is inexcusable! This has been my second encounter with her & she has no business in customer service! I asked to speak with the owner & she refused to give me his name or contact info as well she took my name and hung up on me not even taking my number!! Your restaurant is more expensive than most fast food out there, but at other locations the quality and service make it worth it. I no longer feel this way about Farmer Boys, especially if they insist on employing someone as rude and disrespectful as Destiny. read more

The only reason I'm giving giving this place a 1 star is because the salad was good. I went in the drive thru to get a salad and everything was fine till I left. I had to turn around because there was no dressing for the salad . When I went back thru to get the dressing i asked her what kind of dressings they had because I had a specific one that I get and she named only 3 and when I asked her can you name the rest ... she had an attitude and said that was it. I was very annoyed and settled for something I didn't want . I looked up the dressing I wanted and had my boyfriend go inside to get it for me and the two girls from the drive thru were pointing and talking about me and my boyfriend and looking at me inside the car . When my boyfriend was coming back to the car he had told me he knew they were talking bout us because all they did was stare at him and pointed at him.
