Overall this Farmer Boys was great, clean with friendly and attentive service! My only upset is that my burger wasn't well done, but I didn't specify that when I ordered, and those in my party who did got well done burgers. The burger tasted great regardless, and I loved that you could split your side and get a half order of two sides! I got the fries and zucchini, both of which were delicious. The fries were super crunchy and good, the zucchini was crunchy when I got my food, but the cooler it got it took away from the taste. The food is fresh and the servings are generous. The customer service is outstanding. We love their 3 egg breakfast that is available all day. The milk shakes are made with real ice cream. We really like the salads they are big with lots of cheese, meat (of your choice), avocado, tomatoes etc. It is hard to decide to choose from french fries, onion rings or (the fried zucchini, both are big and crispy). We also love being a Farmer Boys VIP. We like to wait for the $10 coupon, but passing up the hamburger combo for free is always a challenge. If you don't want to clean up your table the staff is happy to do it for you. I am a happy customer every time I go to Farmer Boys as you can tell. The atmosphere is cozy and clean. read more

Nope!!! I ordered a grilled cheese with bacon, but really expected the bacon to be cooked. Specifically asked if they served crinkle cut fry's and was told, yes they do. Maybe the person taking the order doesn't know the difference, because I got the plain ole soggy fry's you get at most fast food restaurants. I don't normally complain about this kind of business, they are what they are. I know good help is hard to find. Poor quality combined with poor help is more than I like to deal with. Farmer boys is a higher end fast food restaurant. I ordered the chicken tender combo meal. It ended up being on the more pricier side at $10.21. The chicken tenders were hot and fresh. The breading reminded me of homemade chicken tenders. They ask you if you want to barbecue or ranch. I got the barbecue sauce. They give you two plastic containers of the barbecue sauce. You also have the option of choosing between fries fried zucchini's or onion rings as your side. I got the fries which were crispy and fresh tasting. I ended up getting half fries and half onion rings. The food came out pretty fast. I started with the onion rings. Total lack of flavor. I then tried the fish. That too lacked flavor. I had to add salt and even that didn't do the job. The fish was super thin and greasy. The tartar sauce was not even doing the trick. My wife felt bad for me. She offered to take my food back but I said no. As for my kids, my son loved the Cobb salad. That boy went to town on that salad. My wife liked her burger. As for my daughter, she only ate half of her kids grilled cheese sandwich. My family will return. I will not. If they want farmer boys, they can go without me. If you can't manage a drive thru, don't have one. Saw a long line for the drive thru so the two of us went inside. We ordered and sat down. We waited for half an hour. As we waited, people were coming in from the outside who went through the drive thru, asking when their food was going to be ready. The workflow for this shop is horribly mismanaged. Four separate people came in and requested refunds who were also waiting upwards of twenty to twenty five minutes. We finally took heed of the writing on the wall and got our own refund and left. We will never return - such terrible management of both drive thru and in-house dining. I wonder who thought it was a good idea to have both and if they still have a job in the food industry. read more

This was my first time at a Farmer Boys EVER and I am a fan! My kids and I loved what we ordered. The only negative was that we did wait at least 25 minutes to get our food (we were in the drive thru) and only a few cars ahead of us. Other than that, I most definitely come back! So July was my second visit and they forgot 1 order, but the lady came out chasing my car. So she gets brownie points for that. There foods reminds me of the old days when my mom would take us to her favorite diner on Saturdays. The food is fresh, clean tasting, no old greasy flavors at all. So today (Sunday), i went to get brunch for six people. They are absolutely amazing... I got the sourdough avocado sandwich, and charbroiled chicken salad. They sandwiches were absolutely delicious . Ok first time trying them since they opened here in turlock. I've been to the locations in Ceres and Riverbank. Pros: Burger was amazing! Got the Farmer's burger and it was hot, fresh, and nummy. Fries, once I went back for them, were crispy and great. Cons: not really a bad mark, but they did forget my fries and I had to go back. They were super nice about it. I just sat in the drive thru line for nothing. I waited 15 minutes until I finally got to order. The lady informed me that their system is down and they're not processing orders. She said that she could write down my order and then I could wait until their system is ready to go. I asked her how long the system had been down and how much longer until it would be up. She said it had already been down for 20+ minutes and they don't know how much longer. So they wanted me to wait until an unknown time? Also, since they didn't close the drive thru, I'm sandwiched between 8+ cars that are all confused about this situation. I love their chicken Cobb salads but last time we ordered I decided to order something different and went with a chicken sandwich and my daughter and my son got a cheeseburgers, my mom got the fried fish platter, and my dad got a burger and they were all cold the fries were cold the burgers were sloppy and they were just downright gross, not one of us finished. We've been going to Farmer Boys for many years. The riverbank one is our favorite. Turlock location was closer. My son and I always substitute our bread for fruit. This time, apparently this location says you can't do that. However, they just put the order through NEVER making any comment about the fruit. When I went up and asked for our fruit, the young lady smiled and said ok. Still never saying anything. We went up again and asked for our fruit, and was told it can't be done. We were told that you can say no toast but can't substitute for fruit. You can only substitute for fruit if you don't want meat. Then we had to purchase something that we had already ordered but was not communicated with originally. When I asked if something had changed, I just got a shrug kind of response.
