First time here and we will for sure return. Charming 40's motel with almost all the amenities of a larger motel. Friendly staff and super clean rooms. Hairdryer and iron in our room as well as the standard soap and lotion. Plugs to charge phones, watches, and laptops a bit tricky but bring plugs and longer cords and you will be fine. We just spent the weekend at this gem of a place - VERY clean, PERFECT location and the NICEST hosts ever! I was skeptical at first because the rate was so reasonable, but there was no reason to worry ... every detail was taken care of, from fresh linens folded in all kinds of formations to a little coffee station to get you going in the morning (with liquid creamer - not powder!). The bed was comfy and the room was decorated in the quaint farm house style like the name suggests. The front desk offered wine glasses upon request as well as ice. Parking was easy, right next to our room and above all, we felt very safe as they take every precaution as suggested by the COVID guidelines. We look forward to coming back again soon! read more

We had such a lovely time staying at the Farmhouse Motel. The woman who checked us in was very friendly and gave us an extended check out Time when we asked. Our room was clean and cute and there was plenty of parking options in the horse shoe driveway. We had a cute little porch with seats and an additional sitting area off to the side of our unit in the sun. Only a 10 minute walk to the downtown square. We walked around and had dinner and walked back at night and felt safe. This motel is also a 1 minute walk to Joe's Place (Great breakfast diner). Great experience and customer service! read more

These guys definitley bring the 'Mo' to a Motel. First of all of course the good price is important to mention (especially for Paso Robles) and you get a lot for what you pay at this place. Most other places in Paso Robles are more and I loved all the little touches. First of all the front desk staff was wonderful! I totally bonded with Heather when I checked in and then I saw her cleaning rooms the next day. Hard workers! I asked Heather for some ice and she gave me a little Tupperware with ice to put in my tiny freezer in the mini fridge. I love that! Plus I even forgot to ask (even though I told myself I would remember but I had been traveling and forgot when I got there to check in) and she asked me if I needed a wine key! And yes I did! I really appreciate those little touches. Then when I was checking out I finally got to meet Tracy the hotel manager (who I had talked to on the phone for my reservation), and bonded with her both over the phone and in person. Second of all, holy towels Batman! Soo many fresh fluffy white towels (more than I could even use in my two night stay), and some charmingly folded into Fun shapes and a swan on the bed (complete with googly eyes). Third of all I appreciated having the mini fridge (to put my cheese into to go with my yummy wine), microwave (to heat up my leftovers from the various restaurants) the sink & mini kitchen area complete with cabinets! I also loved having the little Electric fireplace which really helped warm the place up on these chilly nights that I was there (January 19th & 20th, 2018 - during an unprecedented cold snap). I also enjoyed the vaulted ceilings with the exposed beams and just the overall funky charm of the place. I like also that they had seating areas, outside benches and landscaping, and the fact that it is dog friendly (even though I don't have dog) was fun! No barking dogs or any dog problems at all for this non dog owner, but it was fun to talk to some of the other Hotel guests and meet their dogs. Lastly, it is close to downtown - I would say like a 5 minute walk to the beginning of downtown and then a 10 minute walk to get to the heart of downtown. Great if you want to walk to dinner or go to Winery tasting rooms in downtown. I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely stay there again! P.S.- Although I didn't need it on this visit, I noticed that there was an air conditioning window unit which I know would be great in the summer so I know if I come back and stay there any time of year I'm set with either the small plug in electric fireplace, or the wall unit AC. read more

I have been here twice now, and both have been pleasant experiences. The staff is very nice and helpful. The rooms are cute and clean, with a mini frig and microwave. Heater and air conditioning work VERY well. You do hear some noise from road, but didn't have any problems sleeping. The prices are reasonable. We will stay again. read more

1. LOCATION - This motel is within walking distance of old town Paso Robles (i.e., tasting rooms, cafe's, restaurants, bars, shopping, etc.). It is also ideally placed right off of Route 46. 2. PRICE - You cannot beat their pricing! Absolutely amazing for all that they provide you with: clean, comfortable, & EXTREMELY friendly staff. 3. PRIVACY - You have your own little abode (very cabin like) ***The boyfriend and I, now Fiance, came here over Valentines Day weekend and low and behold the boyfriend proposed at Dauo Vineyard. I was completely shocked and had no idea this was going to happen!! We spent the rest of our afternoon wine tasting and celebrating our great news. At the end of the evening we returned to the motel and with THE HELP OF KEVIN AND DEBBIE my Fiance was able to surprise me once again with roses, chocolate covered strawberries, petals dribbled on the bed, and a lovely heart shaped balloon - I was thrown back and couldn't have imagined a more spectacular weekend, or a better place to experience it all. If you are like myself and the Fiance we enjoy the EXPERIENCE of being in a NEW location and PARTAKING IN NEW ADVENTURES. The hotel/motel/b&b just needs to be clean, offer plenty of towels, and be comfortable to sleep in! Bottom line! Very hard beds. Hardest i've ever slept on. Wife and I woke up with sore backs. Very small shower. With uncontrollable water temperature. Water restricter is ridiculous. It takes so long to rinse the soap off you body, I don't see how it saves any water. Maids cleaning room right next to us at 7:30 in the morning. Banging on the wall, running vacuum. No consideration for guests that may want to sleep in. Not worth the price paid. $120 per night. NOT the $89 mentioned in another review. Price gouging because of the mid state fair. Stayed here for the 2nd time on 12/28 & 12/29. Quaint old style motel close to Paso Robles downtown. It is a budget motel at $50 a nite, so does it really matter what the room looks like? But is a nice and clean room. We have stayed at the Paso Robles Inn which is lovely, but sometime you don't want to pay $250 + per nite. So now we can spend the money saved on wine and the great restaurants in town. read more

We arrived at the motel being very skeptical of a 'motel', having preconceived notions of what that would entail. However, being as though the other hotels in town were booked or over-priced, we settled on Farmhouse. We were greeted by Kevin, a very kind proprietor, who checked us into our room and provided us with the WiFi password and a hairdryer upon request. He also graciously offered us ice should we need it. Upon entering the room the first thing we noticed was a cigarette smoke smell. Once we got past that, however, we quickly realized this was a very clean room with a microwave, fridge, coffeemaker, sink, and television within the room. The bathroom was tight for two people but we aren't large so it didn't bother us. The water took awhile to get hot but once it did it never ran out. The remainder of our stay was uneventful with parking located just outside of our room. One other thing we did notice was that the front window did not lock as the upper window portion of the locking mechanism had broken. All in all, a pleasant stay at the Farmhouse Motel, and bargain-hunters alike would agree that $89/night on a weekend was reasonable. Give them a try! read more

The room we stayed in is next to the street but not loud at night. The location of this place is great, walkable distance to paso robles downtown and close to 101. It's just 1 freeway exit away from the wineries. Just across the 101 then you get to Albertsons and walmart if you need supplies for road trip. read more

This is the cutest little place in the world with the cutest owners in the world! We arrived super early before check in and had just driven down from San Diego so had been on the road 5 hours. We weren't expecting to be able to check in before we went on our wine tour but luckily it was the one room they had ready! We were stoked. The owners are sooo nice and they are the cutest little couple ever! So.. we went on our wine tour and then we went out on the town and then we came back to the hotel.... the next morning we couldn't find the keys anywhere and the first place we checked was the door and nothing. We felt so bad that we lost the keys so we walked with our tails between our legs and were about to tell them the sad story and apparantly the guy was doing his rounds, found the key in the door... took the key for us and then tried to make sure we were safely inside. Anyway- haha key recovered. phew. What a bargain! They are so affordable and next to everything within walking distance of bars, restaurants etc. This is not the Ritz people... its a clean place to stay after a day or so of wine tasting where you will be well taken care of. read more

Usually when you find a cheap hotel or motel you are bracing yourself for the worst. I have stayed in some absolutely terrible hotels. Its hard to feel comfortable where you are going if you don't have a place you can actually sleep when you stay there. Farmhouse Motel is a little hidden oasis near downtown Paso Robles. It is only a few miles from all of the Wine tasting so be prepared to have a driver or find a lyft back to the hotel. It is also way less expensive than those hotels that take advantage of all the tourists like La Quinta and Holiday Inn. This is a nice family owned business and you will meet the owners when you check in as they live in the space connected to their check in office. The place looks find of like a trailer park which is actually pretty awesome believe it or not. You get your own housing unit connected to one other unit so yay for only one neighbor. You have your own parking space and plenty of extra spaces in the back. The thing about Motels is there is not inner hallway so your space will have a front door and a porch with chairs. Some may like this but that means anyone could walk up to your front door unlike a hotel. The place felt safe though and the rooms were pretty great. its not a five star hotel but it has everything you need. Comfortable bed and kitchenette which the other places don't have. You get a fridge, microwave and cabinets which is a welcome addition. Its like a home away from home allowing you to cook your own meals in your room. It is a kind of old place and its showing it wear and tear. There are noises and thin walls and things needing paint but seriously for the price and the location you are getting a great deal. People who complain about cheap hotels have truly never been in one or seen the worst. This place is miles ahead of most motels and is a great way to get off the beaten path in paso robles. If you are planning on staying a few days and don't want the corporate world of the chain hotels this is a great spot to try. Also make sure to call ahead! There are only 20 rooms in the whole place so they are often booked up! read more

This is such a sweet place! And dog friendly! (No carpet on the floors). I had to stay here for 2 nights while my home was fumigated. What a great choice! Old place that is not worn or musty. So it has vintage decor but everything in my room made it so cozy! Fridge, microwave, small kitchen area with sink and cupboards, drop leaf table and chairs, cute bathroom with plenty of nice towels and toiletries. If you are on the street side you can hear traffic on Spring St. but being Paso the sidewalks roll up about 10 for a restful sleep. I highly recommend this place for a short or long stay in wine country. If you are local put your relatives up here when they visit and everyone will be happy! read more

This motel was perfect! Kevin the owner was great, he was very welcoming and helpful. We stayed here for a wine tasting trip. At the end of the day we sat outside at the cute sitting areas on the property and enjoyed wine and cigars. Even with the rain there is a covered area by the rooms with chairs to sit and enjoy wine outside. The rooms are small and on the older side but we're very clean and comfortable. We will definitely be staying there again on our next trip. Perfect location, we walked into town each morning and evening. I selected Farmhouse Hotel Farmhouse Hotel based on the reviews. Unfortunately, I was severely DISAPPOINTED. The the room was NOT CLEAN. There was scum in the sink that clearly had not been touched by a sponge. When I want to use the sink the drain did not go down. The shower was diirty - apart from being miniscule. When I turned around I was looking at multiple PUBIC HAIRS stuck to the wall which GROSSED me out. The last disappointment was there ANTS in the room. When I first got in I put my receipt down on the desk and then begin unloading my car. After unloading, and it was on my receipt and then I saw another one on the desk. Then, there were a couple of ants in the shower, and some on the front door. Sitting on the chair an ant began crawling up my arm. I found the bed adequate but too soft for me. I don't think I'll be coming back - disappointed. read more

My wife and I were without a place to stay and could not get an available room from any of the hotels in a 30 mile range because all hotels were booked for the weekend. The rooms that were availabe, were running close to $400. We came upon the Farmhouse Motel and got a room for $200 to $300 cheaper. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable. This quaint little place is a great find. Super clean pet-friendly old school California motel offering comfortable outdoor seating areas and a lovely manicured garden trail to stroll with your pup. A perfect adorable little cottage, with coffee maker, microwave, fridge, lots of pillows and air bed if needed. Friendly office staff and thoughtful towel art left on our beds. We were the last ones to check in for the night and there was a spot open next to our room. Don't expect modern bells and whistles. Just butterflies in the garden and sweet charm. This is a unique little motel smack dab in the middle of Paso Robles. After suffering through the La Quinta in San Diego, this place might as well be a 5 star motel, in comparison at least. The room is small, and uniquely decorated. It looks like not much has changed in the rooms over the years, except for two major things They have a nice television and a refrigerator. The beds were comfortable and clean. The room had a heater and the bathrooms were also clean. What more could you want for under a hundred bucks? They also let me check in 3 hours early because I drove 8 hours over night to reach this motel/city. Everyone i came in contact with was super nice and accommodating. There is also a really good breakfast place right next to it or a Pizza Hut if that's more to your liking. Whether you're just passing through or need a few nights, this place is the best bang for your buck. read more

I really enjoyed my stay, the nice lady and gentleman at the front desk were absolutely amazing! They welcomed me with a smile and joy radiating from their smiles. The room was very clean, but a little hot upon my arrival, so I called the front desk and the kind man came right to my room immediately and got my air conditioning unit adjusted properly. (my bad) lol. If you love a super clean bed, a lot of fresh towels, a microwave and refrigerator in your room I totally recommend staying here. The shower is really small tho. read more

Quaint place to stay while wine tasting in the area. It's an older property of little cottages, so you'll only have one shared wall with which to contend. The bathroom is quite tiny, the shower stall is almost like those on a cruise ship. Iff you're much larger than a hobbit, you might feel a bit claustrophobic. The rates were quite reasonable for Zinfest weekend, $125. If you're like us and don't spend much time in the room because you're out and about, the Farmhouse will suit your needs just fine. read more

The staff was kind, the room was neat, I never expect to get a minifeidge and microwave for a $62 motel stay but we did, and the garden area outside is absolutely lovely and we enjoyed eating our breakfast outside. The location is also nice with a wide variety of eateries only a 5-10 minute walk away! Unfortunately it's an immediate star off since we found bug droppings and sheddings in our beds (NOT bedbugs, just carpet beetles and the like, but still.. bleh) and wound up sleeping on top of the covers since it was past 11 and the office was closed... But I don't think that would stop us from coming back again, only encoirage us to check under the covers earlier and see about getting the sheets replaced. read more

My wife and I were looking for a last minute place to stay. There happened to be a cancellation at the farmhouse in and the owners were great at accommodating us right away. Kevin and Debbie are super friendly and very helpful. The rooms are clean the bed is super comfortable the bathrooms have been updated and the amenities are great! The price value of $123 on a busy Saturday the price for the room is absolutely amazing. My wife and I are very thankful to have stayed here and would recommend farmhouse motel to anybody. This motel looks old when you drive up, but it's very well maintained and the rooms are cozy, very clean, have a kitchenette with refrigerator & microwave, in addition to coffee. They do a lot of little things like sculpting the towels. We had a swan and flower on the bed. The shower is small but the water pressure is fine and there's plenty of hot water. The staff were very nice and friendly. But, if you have a dog, this is the place for you. They are really dog friendly. The rooms are like little cabins and each one has a parking space in front. You can walk to the main restaurant area and there are stores on the way. This is the place I will stay when I return to Paso Robles. read more

This place was awesome! Not only is it very pet friendly, but with the flooring (LVP) I didn't worry too much about pet hair and any accidents. My dogs were very well behaved, but as a pet owner you know things happen. The outside is beautiful and has nice paths to walk your pup around, with lots of comfy sitting areas. We were with my parents in hot springs water we had reservations in this hotel we spent all afternoon in these beautiful waters and my parents drunk some glasses wine of course it is a winners place, I was driving and the owner did not let stay be in his hotel because My parents had drunk a little bit at 10 o'clock at night I had to drive up to redondo beach 4 hours on the way in the evening the owner canceled my reservation. 3 hours later he call to apologize Very bad customer service.
