We have visited this restaurant many times but today was our last. The food was just ok but I must say, our waitress was attentive and fast. BUT....2 things happened. I'm not sure who the man is working there but he is rude. I'm handicapped and cannot go up the stairs to the gift shop. I pointed to one of the dishtowels on display and asked if there was another one because I wanted two. His reply was, "I have no idea" and he walked off. But when the loud, obnoxious regular customer (I know this because he repeatedly said it loud enough for the entire room to hear) seated next to us ask the same male worker for a T-shirt, the guy ran to fetch one. What the heck! The same customer repeatedly told the person with him how he gave one of the waitresses $100 tip. I was never so glad to leave a restaurant and BTW, we left most of our food on the table. read more

Be prepared for a long wait. We were told it will be 40 mins and ended up being over an hour. BUT DEFINITELY WORTH IT! A cozy farmhouse atmosphere, service was fast, helpful and very friendly. We have been to Branson many times but this was a first for us to eat at the Farmhouse! We got the chicken fried steak with onion rings and okra..the food was top notch. Our server was Abby and she was so sweet and keep our drinks full! Highly recommend and we will be back! read more

We came for the chicken & dumplings and left having tried several things, but none of us got to try what we came for. The problem was we came just shortly before closing time. They sold the last order just as we were being seated; darn it! Oh well, everything we ordered was very good. The chicken fried chicken was delicious. Their vegetable beef soup was reportedly very good, too. The blackberry cobbler was tasty, too. Our server was excellent. He kept out glasses full, made sure our needs were met, and had a smile on his face all the while. I wish we had gone sooner during our trip so we could have returned, but alas we will just have to plan another trip. This restaurant was recommended to us and we found that there was a wait, but we were able to browse the local stores around there and kill the time. Everyone that was waiting was very excited and many people had been there several times the blackberry cobbler was what everyone raved about and we actually started our breakfast with that and it did not disappoint. The rest of the breakfast was average at best. Our weight staff was phenomenal. It was a very small location so if you're going to go make sure you plan to wait and get the blackberry cobbler. read more

Whenever we visit Branson, we have to stop at the Farmhouse for our breakfast. Usually you will need to wait about 15-30 minutes because everyone else has the same idea, but it's worth the wait for sure. While you're waiting, there is a gift shop upstairs to browse around. Everything from the omelettes to the pancakes to the biscuits and gravy are good. You won't go away hungry! The biscuits and gravy were pretty good, the ham and cheese omelette was mediocre at best, and their cottage fries or country fries were pretty lousy - hard little fried potato chunks. There are definitely better restaurants in the area. I will say this; the wait staff was outstanding! read more

We really liked this place. The catfish I got was excellent. Flaky fish, battered and fried. Was hot and fresh when I got it. Excellent. My sweet potato fries were very good also. We weren't going to get desert, but one of the waitresses came out and gave us a blackberry cobbler because she screwed up another order. It was on the house. Food was ok but I ordered a grilled tenderloin and it came out breaded( which I said no problem I'll just eat the breaded one) The waiter said he would make it up by throwing in a dessert. So after we finished eating, he asked if I still wanted the cobbler and Ice cream, I said yes. So when we got the bill the desserts( $8 ) were added. My husband brought this to the waiter's attention and he had the nerve to say that he should have just given me a half portion. Went there with a group of friends. Our server, Stephanie, was great! I consume tons of tea and she kept me full...that can be a challenge. Based on the recommendation, I had the open face beef...it was excellent. Wife had the chicken and dumplings...friends had chicken fried steak, fried chicken, and the buffalo tenders...everyone was super impressed. The tenders were actually tender enough he didn't need a knife to cut. I grew up with made from scratch country cooking and everything tasted legit fresh/made from scratch. This is a really popular place in Branson for breakfast and we did have to wait about a half hour. When we were finally seated, each member of the staff treated us like family. The service was good and the food was even better. It's been over a month since we were there do do not remember what we had, just that it was really good. Very good biscuit and gravy. And good service. I would have given a much better rating, but my wife found a long hair UNDER her bread. The waitress asked if she wanted another plate...well, of course! But then the waitress brought another plate and said it couldn't have been from the kitchen because "no one here has long hair," insinuating that we planted it (we have never done that!) the waitress also told us that the hair must have come from the bread factory. Wow such a tourist trap breakfast very very OK. Prices a little high I had a southwest omelette. Wife had a ham omelette with had browns. This is the Place to go for breakfast close to the landing. I had the breakfast skillet and the wife had an egg with hash browns. To start off service was sub standard people that got seated after us got their food and drinks before we even got our coffee. To put it simply we were overlooked. As for the food it so ok. Nothing special about this place bypass this tourist trap.
