I always recommend this place when people ask about a salad place. For size, market, and service the prices are very reasonable. I LOVE the rancher and got it this time with my uncle. He loved it as a first timer and I loved it as a loyal customer. Definitely recommended to try! This place is clean and quiet for a relaxing lunch out.

Pardon me but this is about the most tastiest salad I have ever eaten. Ate ? Eaten? Whatever you know what I mean. Holy mackerels . When I tell you I took my first bite and my eyes rang "I have to YELP this". All of my coworkers have preached about how good this place was, and now... I promise to always trust their tastebuds lol The staff was super super sweet too. And very clean eating area and food line. I love the chill vibes. I give it a ........ BIG WHOOPIN 10

Online Pickup order thru website. East to navigate. Had 2 bowls. 1 was a qinoua bowl with Caesar dressing. Lettuce, Kale, beans, friko.(baked parmesan cheese chips) and other veggies! It was delicious! A grilled cheese and another bowl. Two cookies . Tho very tasty. They are very small. Maybe 2 inches wide. Might as well Include them with the meal for free than to charge for them.

We were looking for a place to eat in Chantilly...There are so many options, but we were so happy to try Farmside. Super fresh and unique options. My wife had The Rancher, and I had Kale and Quinoa. Both are served with a slice of fresh bread. The interior is organized, bright, super clean and a great fast, casual option. I highly recommend this place!!

There's a new fast-casual spot in town at the Commonwealth at Chantilly Shopping Center, taking over the former Farmtruck Pizza and Greens location. Meet Farmside Kitchen, a cozy, homey alternative where you can build your own bowl or pick from their signature farm bowls. Think Chipotle or Cava but with an extra touch of American comfort. I gave a few of their premade farm bowls a try, starting with The Rancher. It's loaded with grilled chicken, black beans, corn, and avocado, and topped off with a honey sriracha sauce. The cool part? You can choose your sauce level either light, medium, or heavy, depending on your mood. Next up was the Farmside Bowl, featuring grilled chicken, roasted sweet potatoes, and a balsamic vinaigrette. It felt like a warm hug in a bowl. If you're going for something vegetarian, the Local Farmer is a great choice. It has a fresh mix of strawberries, feta cheese, corn, and avocado. You can even add a protein to make it heartier. Their house-made drinks are the perfect complement to your meal. I loved the Sparkling Pineapple Mint and the Strawberry Rosemary Lemonade. They were refreshingly flavorful without being too sweet. For a dessert, I tried a salted caramel chocolate chunk cookie -- yum! Everything at Farmside Kitchen is made with fresh ingredients sourced from local farms, and what really stood out was that I left feeling full and satisfied without the heaviness. It's a perfect spot for anyone looking for a healthier meal that still feels hearty and inviting. Can't wait to return and explore more of their menu!

First time here. This place has an edge over the two best known places for bowls as it is more than just Mediterranean or Mexican. Pick from a broad range of bowls or build your own. The restaurant was clean, service was friendly and efficient. They also had plenty of seating.

I'm shocked at how much I like Farmside Kitchen. I thought it would be just another make-your-own-bowl type of place, nothing too special. I ordered take-out and the bowls were packed full, with sauce on the sides without having to specify. This might be the best caesar salad I've ever had. The addition of quinoa, parmesan crisps, and cherry tomatoes made it much more filling and the tomatoes gave it another level of freshness. The dressing was perfect to me, as in not fishy at all and heavy on the garlic.

If you are not getting salads here, you are missing out. These are so fresh and tasty! We love coming here to get yummy health food! The place is always clean and the chairs are comfy. The staff are so upbeat and friendly. This is a top place for us to eat and I highly recommend it.

There have been a few iterations of fast casual restaurants at location. When I saw that Farmside Kitchen was opening up, I figured it was going to be a pizza and salad shop with the same menu. I was only half right. They no longer have the pizza, but now focus on the salads. I actually really like this because the salads are actually so much better now in my opinion. My husband always ordered the Kale & Quinoa salad before. He said it was the same, but now they add chicken. He said it was very good. I ordered The Rancher and I was very surprised at how much I LOVE it. Everything is seasoned well and so delicious. I actually want to go again because it blew my mind. I love going to Sweetgreen, but now we don't have to drive all the way to Chantilly or Fairfax because Farmside is just as good. Also, be sure to get their fountain juices. So good! Lastly, the restaurant decor has been updated and I really like it. The vibes are inviting. The staff does a really good job at keeping the place clean and they treat the customers well.

They are all excellent. They are our favorite restaurants in Northern Virginia. The menu varies a little from one restaurant to the next, but every restaurant has a relatively broad menu from salads to sandwiches to chicken and seafood and steak entrees. All are prepared fresh and to your liking. If you ever have a meal that isn't perfect, let your server know and they will fix it. Some of the favorite meals we consistently order are chop house salad, Caesar salad, crab cakes, blackened prime rib, chicken and salmon. The prices are getting a little higher, but the value is still very good for the quality and quantity of food provided. Sweetwater Tavern is a little bit noisier and more upbeat than some of the other GAR restaurants. Most have outdoor dining options.

A special shoutout to our server, Sandra, she was fantastic. We started with the bang bang shrimp--perfectly crispy with a delicious sweet heat that wasn't overpowering. My husband ordered the Connecticut lobster roll, which was loaded with generous chunks of lobster, lightly dressed, and served on a perfectly toasted roll with crispy fries. We came on a busy Sunday, but everything moved fairly quickly. As a table, we split the fried calamari and Spanish chorizo mussels. Both of which were solid as appetizers. There was nothing too spectacular about them. As my main, I ordered the crab-stuffed salmon which came with mashed potatoes and sauteed vegetables. The salmon, while the best part of the dish, still left more to be desired. It was a bit dry and I didn't think the sauce was all that flavorful. The vegetables were fine, but the mashed potatoes were simply bad? They had the texture and flavor of instant mashed potatoes, slightly liquidity while being quite bland. I just don't think this place is worth coming back to.

A few minutes later our group became 7 because I didn't know two more people were joining, and when I updated the host, he got weirdly rude and scolded us for not saying that earlier. Mind you, the restaurant wasn't even busy. He then sat 7 of us at a booth clearly meant for 5, gave us one bread basket with 4 rolls, and we had to ask our very nice waiter for extra chairs just to fit everyone. She even brought more rolls later because she seemed confused by the whole situation too. It's a shame because the food was actually good. My 8oz Dallas Filet was juicy and cooked perfectly, and they loaded up the mushrooms and onions. The sides were hit or miss. The mac and cheese was bland and the cheese fries came out cold, but the Caesar salad was generous and the bread was great as always. Our server was very kind and attentive, and Manager Chris also checked in on us. Overall, the experience would've been great if the host hadn't started things off so poorly.

Leaving takes you through a slightly confusing one way loop. Nevertheless, twas the evening before the blizzard of 2026, and the restaurant was mostly empty. I started with the Chunky Monkey Banana milkshake which was.. well, disappointing. Almost entirely liquidity. Not enough solids. Way too much milk. Disappointed I also had a blood orange sunset, which was good, refreshing, sort of like a reverse Tequila Sunset. The meatloaf itself was good but the pate was hit or miss. There wasn't much meat loaf, mostly mashed potatoes, string onions, and corn. I felt for the price the meatloaf serving size was just not quite enough. It seemed like it was deliberately hidden in there. I was expecting something more. The Kickin Crab and Corn Chowder, sans description, was also..unexpected. It was an option with the meatloaf and contained a lot of pepper. Black pepper. Not the ... Chesapeake Favorite "Kickin" expectation.. We had a mimosa, good, a little weak. Overall, it's an ok place to grab a meal, the menu has many options, they have milkshakes and martinis of sorts, not a full bar, unfortunately, you can't get milkshakes with alcohol, which I think is a tremendous hole in their menu, but I found everything to just be a little rough around the edges. Leaving.. What sealed the deal was that after all that, instead of staying to have drinks, etc. we.. decided to go to a different restaurant for something more.

Finally coming in for lunch did not disappoint. We tried their "3 Bites & Small Plates" deal for $25, and it was absolutely worth it. We went with the feta dip (of course), cheddar cheese curds, and tikka masala meatballs. For a non-Indian restaurant, the tikka masala was surprisingly on point - really flavorful and well-balanced. The cheese curds were super satisfying, especially dipped into the sauces they come with. But the star of the show is still the hot honey feta dip. The bread is lightly charred, giving it a subtle smoky flavor that pairs perfectly with the warm, salty, gooey feta and sweet honey. It's one of those dishes you think about after you leave. For drinks, I had the Wild Blueberry Lemon Drop - very refreshing and definitely on the stronger side (it is a martini, so no complaints). We also tried the watermelon margarita - pro tip: ask for it with tajin, it makes a huge difference. For entrées, we got the lunch grilled cheese and tomato soup, which was exactly what you'd hope for - comforting and classic. We added candied bacon to the grilled cheese and didn't regret it at all. We also had the quarter pound burger, which tasted fresh and really hit the spot. The fries were perfect - crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. And yes - I loved the hot honey feta dip so much that I actually ordered it as my entrée too, no regrets at all. The staff was welcoming and helpful, and the overall vibe inside is very chill and lowkey. We sat outside by the fireplace, and even with the weather warming up, it was surprisingly comfortable with the fans going. Definitely recommend - whether you're dining in or ordering out, you can't go wrong here!
