I had a termite service performed a year ago. Service was great, haven't had any problems since. However when the payment was being discussed, a monthly fee of 25$ for the first year was lost in translation. I was not notified of this & when I tried to reach out for further details my call was never returned. I have now been taken to collections & my credit has been affected. I was not contacted by phone or via email prior to this to inform me of any discrepancies on my end. Terrible communication & customer service was even WORSE when I called to clear up the missed payments. Extremely rude. Talking over me & didn't even have my correct contact info when asking for my address. Overall, I would not recommend this service again. read more

Updating my review, I've used Official for the past 5 years and will probably keep using them. I've dealt with other pest control services in the past and this company is easy to get a hold of when you need to schedule an emergency appointment. Their standard price is just right. They used to offer mosquito repellent services with the standard package but I guess now you have to pay for it as a separate thing. I just said I didn't need it and tried to never open my front door to let them in. I bought an outdoor bug zapper which kind of helped. Anyway I'm satisfied with Official. My property used to get lots of spiders and roaches inside the house. So much that I couldn't sleep at night, but with their pest prevention I don't see them often. My area also has a wasp problem in the Summer, they spray those areas and I don't see them swarming my yard. read more

These guys are no good. When they bought out my local pegasus pest prevention guys, everything changed for the worse. Customer service was crap. They lied to me multiple times on the phone about billing and how much I'd pay. They will charge you a "monthly fee" regardless if you use them or not. I was paying a fee of $70 dollars per services rendered, but then these guys took over and it skyrocketed to $135. They don't care about the customer, they just want your money! Yeah, get bent Jeff. If I could give them 0 stars I would. We have a rat problem in our neighborhood and we keep our yard clean and do not have anything food wise out yet we have been catching them in our snap traps from Amazon and the poison feeders from Official are regularly empty. Today the idiot from Official said they were no longer filling the poison feeders because they had had a bad experience at another customer. We fired them on the spot so now I have to find a new service that will put out the feeders because I am convinced that if we don't have these feeders out in our yard we will be overrun by rats. These are locked containers and I have had these in the yards of my homes for decades without issue. If a company won't provide the service we need then they are out and we will find another. read more

Dealing with this company is the worst experience i have had with a business. They are a total rip off. i wanted a one time treatment for mice, and they agreed then they told me no i had to sign up for year. For what? are they doing anything, no,, they spray for bugs, every quarter but that is not what i hired them for . They are impossible to deal with , call and get put on hold and they have a song playing about being put on hold , i am so unhappy with this company. 99$ to start and 54.50 a month not a quarter but do they come every month no, they maybe come ever quarter. Service itself is alright. Had service for over 4 years and cost went up a few times. As others have said, they charge you monthly but do service every other month. You can call for extra if bugs continue to come in. We still had some spiders and bugs make it in, but nothing is 100% so we were fine with the minimal amount. The billing and customer service get a 1. They are not transparent when setting up service or canceling that regardless if you get 1 service, you get charged for 2 months no matter what, it's just disguised as monthly. I'm sure it is in the contract, but never mentioned from sales. I canceled my service as a result of me moving, was informed I'm all good and I won't get charged anymore. Well a month later, I get charged again. I call and get the reason above, that I had service in October, so I have to pay for October + November and that is just how it works. Nothing about the previous CS rep saying I'd get no charge. Let alone they don't do receipts or confirmation of cancellation through email. That alone makes me not recommend Official. The techs themselves were generally pretty nice. They did do less and less cobweb cleanup, but no big deal. read more

They charged me to seal my attic and the pest kept coming in.. they kept saying they can't find any place the rats were coming in .. time goes by and they want to charge me again to seal the attic, but I told them they didn't do the job right the first time. Management: In my opinion, this is a 'bullshit scam.' Your field tech people have been here once - it cost me $100.00 & was paid by me, immediately. Such amounted to laying down 3-4 mousetraps & then leaving (they go for $1.75 each at OSH). The outright cost of the traps + bait, say $10.00 each, & yet your expense to me was $100.00, which again, was paid immediately. Thereafter, your field tech people have never showed up, to check on things. Your original, visiting tech said that, "I would be billed $50.00 a month, 'if' future visits were necessary." Such visitations have not been necessary, as I needed to take things into my own hands, due to your lack of following-up. I want to terminate whatever contract that you feel you have with me; effective immediately. As a good faith gesture, I have been willing to offer you $100.00 upon said cancellation, in writing. We were having issues with spiders and those creepy little earwigs sneaking in, but since Jordan treated the place, it's been so much better. He was super friendly, professional, and explained everything he was doing in a way that made sense. He took the time to hit all the key spots and didn't rush through it. Not sure where things went off the rails, but lately reliability and customer service is absolutely horrible. To my point, early last week we were scheduled for service between 9-11AM with a specific technician. Someone completely new shows up at 6:30AM!!! With no call prior. Needless to say we sent him packing. I called the office and spoke with Eric, told him what happened, and rescheduled for today 9-11. Well 11 passes, no call, no tech. Called Eric, and all he could say was that he was sorry, and offered no explanation. I was very irate at that point and closed out my account. I am just so happy with this company. I have been a customer for almost 1.5 years and it's one of the best decisions I've made. The service technician who comes out most times, Damond, is super friendly and very efficient! No bug stands a chance!! If for some reason you do need them to come out between visits, however, they will come right back out. They really take their time to remove webs unlike other companies who leave some behind. I had a service with Pegasus Pest control for several years! i noticed that they raised their prices when they went cooperate with Official Pest control. I chose Pegasus because it was a small business, family owned. I asked in Jun 2025 that I asked to cancel my service. However, I had service in June and continued To have wasp issues and asked that they come out again prior to the cancellation of service, since I had already paid for the June service. Today I received an email stating i Would be receiving service again this Monday, Aug 18th. It surprised me that I had already cancelled the service AND had to call back! I lived in Merced, CA every month someone comes out but my mom usually deals with the representative. Today I got to speak with Kyle E. he was very polite and I felt very comfortable while talking to him about our new problem with rats. The county came out about 6 months ago and dug up the roads and lawn which cause us a pest problem. Kyle was able to educate me about why I have unsuccessfully been able to catch them with my own traps and that part of my subscription is their help with providing traps and bait!!!!!! After completing the service call he gave me the paperwork and also said that if the traps do catch anything to just call the company, I was like HOLY COW!!! The critters returned a few days after the first spray. Called them up and they came out and sprayed another round.. a week later we had the same problem! I ended up calling another company who came out and finally fixed our pest issue. I believe that they're spraying some cheap chemical that's probably mostly tap water. They were spraying so much yet the results were obviously negative You're better off buying the chemicals from Home Depot and spraying yourself or going with another company. Good luck! read more

He did cleanup the webbing before he sprayed. He walked us through the process and solutions he was using so we're fully informed. He listened to our needs and answered all our questions. Before you even consider using this company, read this review and then move on to the next company. I started service with this company back in August of 2023. Red Flag no.1, you pay monthly for service but they only come every 3 months and the tech is In & Out in 15mins. The owners of the home I rent are wanting to move back into their home in 3 months. I have called this company to let them know I need to discontinue service and now I had to pay out the rest of my contract (April - June/ $205) even though I will not be needing there services. They are money hungry and have no consideration for the customer regardless of the situation. I have reached out to our local news consumers report team to do a story on this, also reached out to my local district supervisor, senator and congressman. This should not be happening to customers. The sales guy lied to me that I can freeze my account or cancel my account at anytime ,but when I call the customer service to freeze my account, they told me that I have to do this after a year. I offered to pay for each occurrence I requested of which I have only requested the service once and I prepaid for it with a groupon. Again I have requested in email and via phone and via forums to stop billing me and cancel any subscription you think you have. I accepted work one time only as prepaid on a groupon. Since this company started to provide the service once every 3 months, I have seen very few earwigs inside my house and have not seen many of them outside either. I had to select A star rating but really they get: ZERO STARS....this company has damaged my car which was parked In the driveway (after I asked the tech if I needed to move it and he said no), after the initial pest protection spraying of the home, on 5/31/2023. The next day I found my car looking like this, took it thru numerous car washes and called the company who originally said their chemicals are water soluble. I quickly realized that this was NOT water soluble since this is how it looks AFTER each wash and while driving I have to continue to use my washer blades because dust and dirt stick to the windshield while driving. I contacted and submitted photos directly to area manager, Daniel, and after another week of waiting and resubmitting photos due to an error in email address, I am still left with this mess of a car! I have had to make a couple of calls to Daniel again to to get some action, who assigned Phillip to arrange for the required acid type wash to remove the chemicals from the paint and the car. This week, I finally got a call from Phillip who stated several times that the company takes full responsibility for the damage and was working to find a shop or mobile service to do the work. Very Long story short....my car is STILL DAMAGED and I get ghosted by texts to Daniel and Phil. They are aware that I am recovering from foot/leg surgery so driving around getting my own estimates is not an option, although I did agree to drop the car off, but there was a confusion on the date so now I wait while my car is still covered in what Phil says is a "Chemical agent that needs an acid wash to be removed" On the car. Today a mobile service showed up in what was essentially a guy in a truck with a hose and a buffer who realized he could not provide the needed "acid wash", and after arguing with Phil, he left. He was pissed. I can relate. UNPROFESSIONAL, UNRELIABLE AND INEPT are the only words I can politely state to describe very stressful and costly experience with this compamy. I hired this company to resolve a rodent issue in my attic after being made aware of rodent activity in my home inspection report. They came and sealed what I believe was suppose to be all entry points and cleaned up all droppings in my attic. At the time, they told me that they did not have any evidence of live rodent activity, thus they did not leave any traps or return to check up on anything. After this visit, I continued to hear noises up in the attic and hired a different pest control to inspect. Turns out, Official Pest had missed multiple entry points left unsealed and there were indeed fresh droppings indicating active rodent activity contradicting what Official Pest had informed me. I paid over $1k for their services and am highly dissatisfied with their work. Due to their negligence, I had to pay additional to clean up their mess. read more

If only the services where as good as the customer service it would be perfect. I've had them for 8 months. According to my contract it covers fleas, ticks, mice, rats and other pests. However my dogs all got fleas and ticks. I've seen no improvement in the rats and mice as a matter of fact I think they have gotten worse. When I tried to cancel my contract they said I couldn't. As a consumer I feel scammed and disappointed by this company they are basically taking my money every month and the problem isn't resolved. I have had bi-monthly service from OPC for three years with very good service. A few months back I noticed what appeared to be rodent droppings on my front porch. After a couple of calls with the problem continuing, the technician stated it may be a bat coming in at night. He stated we would need a specialist to diagnose and arranged for one to come out. That inspector confirmed the suspicion but stated the problem would likely end by keeping an overhead light on and if that did not work, he would recommend a more costly remedy. He also asked to perform an interior inspection of our attic to make sure no bats were there. We allowed that and when he completed, he showed us pictures of a dead rat in a trap, plus numerous photos of rat droppings. When I asked him if he removed the rat and trap he stated he did not because he did not have his gloves on? Curious an inspector not having gloves but, ok. He proceeded to write me an estimate for $4,800. I subsequently hired another pest control company for a second opinion. They performed an inspection and could not find that rat, but they did find a few rat traps we had set years earlier. Suffice to sat we will not hire OPE to perform our repair. read more
