Neither fast nor fixed. Paid $300 to have a working vintage Mickey Mouse watch overhauled. It was returned to me over 6 months later, and it was damaged. I had to contact corporate for a refund, which they agreed to give me. When I went to collect, Tony, the manager refused to give it to me unless I signed something saying I was happy with my watch and would seek no further action. When I refused he told me my watch "wasn't important enough" for the company to be bothered about. I couldn't believe how rude and disrespectful he was. I was quoted absolutely INSANE prices for battery replacement -- $49.99 for a 1 year battery in a Tiffany watch (Tiffany itself charges about $10 or $12) and $29.99 for a Casio digital watch (I've paid around $8 multiple times elsewhere). The guy explained that they use only "premium" batteries, whatever those are. Later, in a different store, I complained to my wife that the trip to Fast Fix was a bust because of their rip-off prices, and the clerk there overheard me and said she used to work at a store across the mall from Fast Fix and always heard customers complain about their crazy battery prices. read more

Fast fix was neither fast nor economical. They charged me $85 to replace a watch battery. I have never paid so much for a battery in my life. Then to add insult to injury, they told me that my watch would be ready in 20 minutes. When I returned to pick up my watch approximately one half hour later, I was told that they could not close the watch back up and needed to wait for the manager to get back before they could finish the repair. Approximately 4 hours later, I received a phone call that my watch was ready. Had I known that the watch would take so long and would be so expensive to replace the battery, I would never have left it there for a repair. read more

I stopped in the store in Century City for a minor repair on a chain necklace that my grandson pulled on and Inadvertently broke when he pulled on it. They fixed it in a few minutes at NO CHARGE! About two weeks ago....I went to Fast Fix to pick up two necklaces that needed to be lengthened. ...I had prepaid $65.00 to fix these two items. I noticed that the last few times I came to FastFix..the vibe was very different. I never saw the same people working there and the other owner....Ohans was not there to greet me. I learned that the store had changed hands and that a new owner had purcased the place. The young women that work there are nice but the new owner...boy, what a nasty person. He doesn't smile or have any customer service skills at all. He was rude and started off my visit to the store in a very negative, defensive manner. When I asked for the necklaces and started to try them on....he tried to rush me and kept saying....turn around! When I got one of the necklaces on.....I realized that they lengthed it but what they did threw the necklace completely off center....there is a medallion on the necklace...after I put the necklace on...the medallion was totally on the left side of my neck....I could not close the necklace with the medallion in the center of my neck. When I pointed this out to the owner....he became very nasty....I spoke in a firm voice with him but he kept telling me to stop yelling and leave his store! He grabbed my necklaces and removed everything that he did to both of the necklaces and told me to get out of his store. He also made disparaging remarks about customers that live on the Westside! I asked him what he meant by that since his store is at the Westside Pavillion! I have gone there for years, but I will never go to that place again unless he goes out of business and someone else buys it! He does not know how to treat customers and he charges way too much for what he does.I went downstairs at the Mall to Antigua and they charged me $8.00 to fix my necklace and did a perfect job...so no more Fast Fix or to have to deal with that "creep of an owner." read more

I have used Yelp couple of times in the past only because it would pop up when I look for the address or the phone number of the places I was looking for. Recently my phone crashed and I had to look up the phone number for the Fast Fix at the Century City Mall to ask a question about one of my watches. That when I noticed reviews about this place and noticed a posting or two (out of several very nice ones) that seem to be totally factually inaccurate, because what is allegedly took place there is totally out of the character for the store's manager Hratch and the rest of the staff. Hratch (I call him Harry) have been talking care of my watches and jewelry for some time now. He is always very professional, accommodating and seems to be charging very reasonable prices while providing a good solid quality services and merchandise. Sometimes when I wait at the store while work being done, I see how people who come in to the store being treated with respect and dignity, while receiving high quality services. I recommended Hratch to serial of my friends and relatives and not one came back to me at later time and complained about the services and/or prices. Everyone is happy with the way they are treated and the service they receive. That is why when I read those negative postings I know right away that it is an exaggeration at best and may be an out rite untruthful rantings of a bitter person who probably wouldn't be happy even if Hratch provided the services for free. I would like to leave everyone with the following point: Hratch and his Fast-Fix crew is the best watch/jewelry repair place I have seen in a long time and I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for great services at reasonable rates. I have used this Fast-Fix location on several occasions and have been a loyal, satisfied and repeat customer. However, today I had an absolutely horrendous experience. I brought in several very expensive luxury watches including three Breitlings to have the straps replaced and have the original bracelets reinstalled. These watches are each worth thousands of dollars and were in practically mint condition. I could not believe my eyes when I returned to picked them up. There were deep scratches and significant dings all around the outer area of the watch case where the lugs are located. Mind you, I've probably worn these watches only a few days and was always very careful not to damage them. When I pointed the issues out to the store clerk, their first reaction was to deny responsibility and then eventually said it was no big deal and that they would buff out the damage. When they were finished, the watches looked even worse. You could clearly see where they had stripped the top layer of the steel material from the case in an attempt to eliminate the scratches and dings. It looked absolutely terrible. The surface of the case is uneven, discolored and distorted. It doesn't stop there. They also informed me that they couldn't reinstall all the links from one of the Breitling bracelets because three pins were missing. The outrageous part is that they were the ones who remove the bracelet in the first place and handed me the bag of spare parts. So if the pins were absent, it was because they never gave them back to me when they originally removed them. On top all that, they insisted on charging me over $100 for devaluing and permanently damaging my watches. I'm absolutely furious. I strongly recommend that you avoid them even for the simplest of tasks. read more

I really don't like to hurt a business but in this case I feel obligated to warn others from having a similar negative experience. Based on some positive reviews, I brought in a pristine gold vintage Omega watch to repair which has been sitting in its box for about 20 years and stopped running. When battery replacement didn't work, they said it was the gasket and they would fix it for few hundred dollars. What was supposed to be fixed in a couple weeks took months of my calling... Finally got the watch and put it away. When I took it out several months later, saw that it wasn't working. Brought it back. They said they have to send it in to Omega to fix the gasket! They wanted to charge me to fix it again. I was furious and spoke to the owner. He said the guy that worked there fixed it himself which apparently didn't work. The owner also said he had a lot of complaints and problems with this guy whom they discovered was essentially a con man and fired him. The owner then said he would send it to Omega and fix it at cost instead of charge what omega would. He said he wouldn't make any money as if that was my problem especially after his employee conned me. Anyway, I didn't want to pay the extra with Omega so I agreed to fix it at cost. Again it took a couple months to receive my watch. When I did receive it, they lost the gold omega clasp! It's vintage and difficult to buy. I asked them to buy exactly the same clasp and in the same condition. Instead they bought a different and heavily used omega clasp with scratches on it. When I said I want the order number of the omega repair to make sure they actually repaired it with Omega and since Omega offers a warranty, I figured may need that number. Literally 5-7 months of trying to get them to return my messages and emails. I asked one of the workers why they never return my messages, the worker said (don't want to get worker in trouble so won't mention name or gender) he/she was surprised as both the manager and the owner said they would take care of it. Worker also said that the old owner sold to another owner. I said I don't care about that but I have the right to know my order number. The worker promised to call me back but never took my calls. I finally dropped by there and said I can't believe the treatment here. The worker apologized and confided that the worker was instructed not to call or speak to me and felt terribly but had no choice. Furthermore, the owners said to the worker to let me go and contact the old owner. I don't know who is telling the truth but I have had quite the runaround and horrible customer service all around. Giving this worker the benefit of the doubt, I told the person I understood the worker's position and I didn't want the person fired. You have been warned. Highly unethical!!! read more

Not a happy customer. Battery replacement $$$$. Will not be returning or referring to Fast Fix Century City. I bought a Michael Kors watch from Bloomingdales in Century City so when I returned to Bloomingdales two years later to get my watch battery replaced they referred me to the Fast Fix Jewelry and Watch Repairs and provided me with a 10% discount coupon to use at Fast Fix in the Shopping center. So I took my Michael Kors watch to this location earlier this month to have my battery replaced and was informed the 1 year battery replacement #364 would cost $44.95. I thought $44.95 was expensive just for a battery (no additional service or parts) but it wasn't until I became curious and checked the price at other Fast Fix stores that I realized I had been severely over charged! The other locations charge 50% less and said that I should not have been charged that much. I wish I would have read some of the Yelp reviews regarding being charged too much and prior to buying my battery at the Century City location. So beware and check prices at other watch repairs including Fast Fix before going to this store. read more

About a week ago I stopped in to see what it would cost to repair a prong on a antique watch. This big guy with no hello says $220. I said it sounds like a lot. I left and took it somewhere else and it was beautifully repaired for $100 out the door. I needed a strap for the watch, which is a Valentines day gift to my girlfriend, so I went back there because I had seen so many straps there on my prior visit. He wasn't there and a lovely, friendly young woman helped me find a lizard wrap for $60. I took it home and it was a bit short for her wrist so we both went back and they didn't have a longer one but the guy got involved and they put a leather band on that is stamped to look like lizard. I said we want lizard or alligator. I said I'll take a refund. He was mumbling under his breath and handed me back the watch saying they had wasted enough time. I left. Do not give business to this bully. He's a real jerk. read more

There is absolutely nothing fast about this repair shop. I took in a clock for repair about 10 weeks ago and paid up front an amount that is worth more than the clock because they said they needed to order a new clock mechanism. I picked it up a few weeks later only for it to stop working the next day. I take it back and they admit that they just cleaned the inside and didn't replace anything. Wow, $50 to clean a small desktop clock? I let it slide and they said they'd have it repaired in another 2-3 weeks. I called them a few times and they said they would call be back but of course didn't. I kept calling and the manager said that they were waiting on me to agree to order a new mechanism!! Obviously I had already paid for a repair, now 6 weeks out and they said they are waiting on me? Why not call me? And what else did I pay for you guys to do? Just sit and pray for my broken clock to start ticking on its own?? I call back a few weeks later and coincidentally the manager says the part arrived that morning and that it would be ready the following week. I specifically asked him to call me when it was done. Obviously no one ever called. I waited another few weeks and just showed up to the store and it was repaired and just sitting there. No one called to say it was ready. I asked the the salesperson when did they finish working on it and she had no clue. I asked her if there is any warranty and again she had no clue. This place has the worst customer service imaginable. Don't waste your money or time here. They are dishonest and disorganized. read more

This place is a complete ripoff. Stay away. They want $70 to put in a $15 battery, but they give you a 1 year warranty on the battery life. I was in a hurry a while back so I paid up for the battery with the free one-year replacement warranty. The shop takes a Sharpie pen and writes the replacement date on the inside of the case back. When the watch stopped running again last weekend, i returned to see if it was under warranty because I wasn't sure if it had been a year or not. The guy looks up your watch brand on a computer and then quotes you a price. Apparently, the more you pay for the watch, the more they will charge you for the same battery--red flag number one. So he says "free" if it is within warranty but $70 if it is not"--red flag number two. I say "open it up and replace it if it is under warranty, otherwise do nothing and I'll get the battery somewhere else." The guy refuses. He wants me to commit to the $70 price ahead of time if it is out of warranty. Why would I pay $70 to put a $15 battery in a $100 quartz watch? Fool me once... read more

When the frame on my glasses fell apart, I was referred by a local eyewear place to Fast Fix Jewelry and Watch Repairs, since they do on-site soldering of metals. When I went there, they said my frames were made of titanium, which is difficult to repair; however, they stated that they not only did traditional soldering, but laser soldering as well, and they could fix my frame. I also asked them for a rough estimate of how long the repair would take, since I didn't live close enough to go home and come back to pick up my glasses; they said at least 90minutes. They also said it would cost $90 because it was difficult to solder titanium. When I returned, the jeweler was speaking to another customer and wasn't even working on my glasses. He then said he would need Another 90 minutes. I'm in a service industry and I understand that I didn't have an appointment and I'm not the only customer they have walking in, so I said that was ok; however, twice as long as their original allocated time was somewhat annoying. When I finally got my glasses back and took them home, they literally broke where they had been soldered within half an hour of wearing them!!! I couldn't believe what a poor job they had done, after 3 hours of waiting at the mall and $90 later...what a disappointment!! DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE... TALK ABOUT POOR QUALITY WORK ! read more

I think this place is a scam. I have has a Movado watch since 1992 and have never had a problem with it. I went here for a battery change and bought the lifetime warranty program, which means I am entitled to replacement batteries for life without having to pay additional fees. Roughly 6 months after getting the battery, my watch stopped and when I brough it in, they told me the battery still had full power and that there was dirt in the watch, which interfered with the mechanism. They allegedly "cleaned it" and It worked for another 6 months or so until a few weeks ago when it became slow and stopped. I brought it in today, and they told me that the battery has full power (which I'm convinced is BS), and that they think it's a faulty mechanism and needs a "tune up" which of course is not covered under the warranty. I insisted that they change the battery anyway, and now my watch is working JUST FINE. I think they are scam artists -- trying to upsell and create problems that don't exist to make extra money. Beware of their lifetime guarantee... you may find that your watch suddenly stops working properly once you use their services. read more

I paid 50 dollars to have girfriend's glasses fixed as they had broke at the temple. The store employee said they would be as good as new. They just melted it over a fire and stuck it back together. It wasn't even straight. The manager said he would refund my money... but opps his credit card machine was out of order. I came back 2 weeks later and he said he ran my card again for a credit but it would take another 2 weeks to post as it was slow. After 2 1/2 months i went back and said give me my G*d D**n money back. He told me to leave at that point. I told him to call security because I wasn't leaving. Security came and I told them I wanted the police. The police came and the manager told them I had hit him. I told the police to review the cameras in the store as i wanted him prosecuted for filing a false police report. The manager said his cameras didn't work at that point. After the police ran my driver's license and could see I was a legit citizen they managed to convince the assh**e to give me my $50 dollars back. Was a big unnecessary scene for everyone read more
