One week ago I went to fast glass I've used them before and it's been a good experience. I have a small job. An 8 x 35 piece of glass. It was suggested I look at patterned glass while the manager was working with other customers. I found one I really liked. I asked that day for a bid on the patterned glass, I was told they would need to call and get a bid on that. I did that day get a bid on plain glass of the size I need. But had decided to go with the patterned glass. 7 days later after multiple phone calls and visits to fast glass ...with the last phone call being look, I'll just take the plain glass at this point I've got my credit card out give me a call let's write it up. No response. The next morning I called again, "oh let me get with the supplier I'll call you right back". 5 PM that night no response. All day today no response. My remodel has been set back three weeks. Today I ordered it with another company. read more

My story is a lot like the others that had bad experiences. So, their bad service and terrible business practices seem to be common place for this company. I made an appointment to have a residential window measured to be replace and they didn't show up or call. Weeks later, I called and he said the receptionist didn't put the order in the system, but they could come measure the window. They came and measured the window and told me they would call in a couple days with the estimate. Two weeks have passed and no call. I called them again and Curt said some paper work has "slipped through the cracks" and he would call me back when he locates it and the estimate....I'm not holding my breath! Nice work the 2 techs did installing a new large mirror. They left not a speck of drywall or drill shavings on the floor.

I was warned not to use this place, but after stopping by to make an appointment, I felt like it would go ok. I needed the sliding window replaced in my pick-up truck. Of course, the guy said no I couldn't replace the small piece of glass, I had to replace the whole back window. While I thought this was a major waste of materials, he justified it with the labor costs. It was approaching winter, and I needed it done, so I made the appointment for the following Friday. Dropped off Friday morning. Fastglass called 2 hours later saying it was ready. I went down to pick it up at lunchtime. Everything looked fine at first, so I paid and drove away. I got about 3 blocks before having to turn my head over my shoulder for lane changes, and notices the plastics in the cab were jacked up. I pulled over and inspected. Everywhere in the cab, all the access ports looked like they had been butchered with a flathead to get them of, scrape marks on every one. The passenger side door trip was also jacked up. I turned around and went back immediately. I was like WTF? So he calls some punk kid from the back to look at it. The kid was like, what? I showed him the butchery and he was like, oh, and proceeded to bank the piece into place. I didn't bother to show him the missing tabs with the gouge marks, I knew it was a lost cause. So I go back in, and tell the front office guy about the missing tab covers and such, and he is like, oh well we can order those and it will be a few weeks. I left in disgust. 3 months later, the window is not waterproof, and is literally falling out. The kid never put nuts on the screws, and the window is literally just sitting in the frame. All the backboards and plastics are failing. I will never let this shop touch my truck again and will pay to have it done right. Fastglass fails badly. Zero skills, zero service, butchered my plastics. read more

I had a tailgate windshield installed at the Fast Glass in Carson City. When I came to pick up my vehicle at the appointed time, manager Kurt handed me my broken windshield wiper blade and apologized that they had damaged it during disassembly. He said he was still locating a replacement part and would call me in a day or so when he got a hold of the part, and in his words, "make it right". He never called. Fast Glass didn't stand behind their work and was not good for their word. read more

Had a very expensive shower surround installed. They told us it may leak and they would come back to fix the leaks. We called them two days after installation and told them we needed them to come back, but they have never called us back. So we called them again this past week, almost a month after the installation, and once again no reply from them. They are happy to collect your $$$, but apparently that is where the service ends. I would have gone to their competitor in Reno, if we had known the follow-up service was so bad. read more

Brought Motorhome in to repair small glass spider on driver side did fast professional work. Tech found another small glass spider on passenger side while cleaning glass. Fixing dings is cheaper than replacing front window and glass spiders tend to grow. They made time to get it fixed right away and worked well with our insurance. read more

Windshield replacement. I contacted Fast Glass and the new windshield was installed the first thing next morning (not any easy task because the windshield could have been special order on account of the rain sensing wipers). Fast Glass came to me (about 30 miles from their shop) and the installer (Curt) was courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient. Price quote was much lower than other installers and the final price was exactly what I was quoted. Not the first time that I've used Fast Glass ... the last time I used their services they saved me about $800 for a sunroof repair. This business rocks! read more

I had a very large bay window installed. Two guys did the work. They arrived 10 minutes ahead of the appt time. They did the job in an amazing 45 minutes. The bill was exactly the amount quoted. I was really pleased with this place. The work was good and reasonably priced. The guy who helped me, Mark, was as good as it gets. He's professional, smart, helpful, and conscientious. He gave every customer his full attention, but never lost track of events going on around him. I kept waiting to be irritated with some kind of bad service, but there were no problems. I hope he's well-paid. And I wish I had other glass needs so I could use them again. read more

I brought my car in to get a chip fixed on the windshield. I walked in at a fairly busy time. Curt was working the desk and said the techs have quite a few cars in front of me. Instead of having me wait, he said he would do the repair. So, he worked the desk (working w/new customers) AND did my repair in about 30 minutes. Very impressive. read more

"Fast" Glass has had a month and a half to put Glass on my shower. They have miss-measured, broken a piece, shown up with a dented trim piece, did not inspect before the came out with the wrong trim piece and promised to come back to finish the shower. When you call, you are lied to about return calls. If you call back to ask why they haven't called you, they recognize your phone number and let it go to voice mail. This is one of the worst companies in terms of customer service I have ever dealt with- avoid them at all cost! read more

Since Mark got moved to Reno and Curt took his place this place is as disorganized as it gets. I ordered some "H" profile aluminum and three weeks later I'm told it's not available. I got on the internet and three days later I had all I needed. Then I needed them to cut some glass that I have had for some time now for a project. I was told they would come by soon to pick it up to take it to the shop to do the cutting. A week went by and no one came and no calls. Then I went to the shop and talked to Curt. He told me they would be here today or tomorrow. That was three weeks ago. Not even a call, no show and no courtesy. I won't ever do business with them ever again. I even went so far as to call the home office in Reno to try to get Curt off his chair and get the job done. NOTHING!!!!! read more

I had a new windshield put in by the Carson City NV office in January of this year before I relocated and drove cross country. My windshield started off with a small leak which then turned into a very big leak. I had moved cross country and contacted them to see if they were nationwide (which they re not) because Kurt stated their work is guaranteed. Long story short, due to them not properly installing my windshield and not sealing it properly I had to at my EXPENSE get a new windshield put it. When I called and spoke to Kurt a second time to let him know the end result his question to me was did you take pictures. I cannot help you without picture proof. REALLY! Stop! I wouldn't and couldn't make this up! I do not recommend anyone using Fast Glass in Carson City, NV. read more

After dropping our vehicle off to have a new back window installed, I receive a phone call half way through the appointment telling me that the back door is no longer operable and it cannot be opened. The manager informs me that Fast Glass's technician is trying to solve the problem and then I never hear back from them. I tried calling after 1 hour to check on the status and no answer. I proceeded to try calling back 4 times over the next half hour and still no answer. I walk back to Fast Glass and am told that the back door is still inoperable, but that I may take it to the dealership and put the repairs on Fast Glass's acct., however, now that it is after 4:00 pm the dealership cannot fit me into their schedule. I'm also charged in full for the glass and installation before I may have my keys back. I take it to the dealership the following week and am told that a part needs to be ordered and I need to make another trip to the dealership. We live 75 miles from the dealership and fast glass. I have now had to take an additional two days off of work, not to mention the additional fuel spent driving 150 miles round trip. One back window replacement is now double the original estimate. read more
