Horrible service, unprofessional and rude. I called this guy on a Sunday and he said he would do the work for $200 on a Sunday but $78 on Monday. So I told him sure, come on Monday, he told me he would get it done by noon. I called him on Monday morning around 9:00 AM to make sure he would come by, his response was, yes I will be there by noon. I took off from work, drove 40 mins to meet him. He has not showed up, it is now 4:00 PM, I called to see if he got tied up on another job, he was extremely rude and told me he is not going to make it because it is his day off! Are you kidding me? Who does that? You need to close up shop if you can't service people who rely on you. read more

Lauren is extremely responsive. Fantastic guy! Had him cut a piece of glass for a custom table top. Gave me several options and warned me about the issues with the thin glass I wanted without trying to upsell me on anything. Did everything he said he was going to, in the time frame he said he'd do it. In fact, the service was so good that I called him again. I needed two screens for my sliding glass doors. He came out, took measurements, and a few days later was back and installed them. There was an issue with a latch (my building's wonkiness, not his work) that he fixed then and there. Gave me prices in line with other prices I've heard for the same thing. Was extremely prompt and professional both times. I will absolutely go back here if I need anything else in the future. Edit: Just read some of the low reviews about location. It's really unfortunate that the Yelp review is impacted so negatively by people who didn't actually use any of the services. The location shares the parking lot with Casa Sanchez. Park there. Easy. It even says it on the Yelp page. I had that issue too... because I failed to read. That was my fault on my first visit. Thank goodness for yelp* reviews! I took a little extra time to scroll through all the reviews, and even with that, Fast Glass was the third business I called to replace a bedroom window. Just for comparison: the first business I called in Downey gave me a $150 estimate to replace a single pane, 16"x44" bedroom window. The second business I called in Bellflower wanted to come out to my house first to "take a look at things" before an estimate would be given. Eventually, I texted the manager with pics of the broken window. I got an estimate of $150 by evening time (initial call was in the morning, about 9-ish). I was hesitant to call Fast Glass because they are so loyal to the Long Beach area, and I'm in Norwalk... But I was curious to see what they would charge me, and I was hoping they'd live up to the majority of their yelp* reviews. I started my conversation something like this: "Hello! Good morning! I know you mainly service the Long Beach area, but are you willing to come up to Norwalk?" Mr. Lauren was the one who answered. Right away he started asking what my main cross streets are, window dimensions and descriptions, and stuff like that. My initial estimate was $130, and I was able to make an appointment for the replacement right then and there. I received a text not too long after the phone conversation to send pics of the broken window, as well as to confirm my address and cross streets. Mr. Lauren drove up with his huge fancy van and went straight to work. From the time I called to the end of the replacement, it was probably about 2 hours, give or take. My end price was $135.90, and I received a thicker window than I had to start with. Yay! Mr. Lauren did mention that I could bring the broken window into their shop for a lot less, but I explained to him I couldn't do that with two sick babies at home. I did thank him for the opportunity to save some money. Yes, they are 24/7, but that is for emergencies only. My window was broken at 8pm the evening before, but I refrained from calling them until normal business hours the next day, as my situation wasn't emergent. According to yelp* they are about 9 miles south of me, so I was hoping that the location was reasonable for them, as they state they are loyal to the Long Beach area. I do have one more window that needs to be replaced, and maybe (if I can get hubby to agree to the expense) Fast Glass can fix that, too! Thank you, Mr. Lauren and Fast Glass! read more

Our sliding glass door was destroyed and the glass shattered. So I look on Yelp to try to find someone that can fix it up. I see this business expressing on their description how they are "Craftsman" and they can do any job and been in business for 30 something years, blah blah blah. This Lauren guy says he will fix it all up and take out the bend in the frame. So the glass is done and the frame is still bent to hell. We can barely even open the door due to the bend. When I addressed this to him suddenly he wasn't a "craftsman" anymore and reminded me that I'm the one that ruined the door and he only specializes in glass only. I tell him he needs to come fix what he said he could fix. He actually came back while I was at work and was extremely rude to my 82 year old grandfather, telling him "This isn't my job" and just says "I'm out of here". When I call him he's as rude as my grandfather said he was. He than say's he "tried" took the bend out for free. Hmmmm, lets think about this....He came out, assessed the job and gave me an amount it would take to fix it. When you give a quote, YOU FINISH THE JOB !!!. He than says he cleaned up the glass for me "for free", and what happens when I get home? I take my shoes off and step on a small shard. He left small glass shards leading all the way up to the front door. Horrible service with a bad attitude. I than called "Lakewood Glass" and they came out and bent the frame back in place for 50 bucks and it rolls back and forth like it's new. After 35 years this guy does half ass work....Try out Lakewood Glass. They know what's up and treat you like a paying customer! read more

I've been here 3 times with my items. Don't get the impression I break glass all the time. I swear I don't. But when I do, I go to Fast Glass. The place AND parking are a bit difficult to find. It is Long Beach, after all. But make sure you turn into the alleyway between the building and the Mexican fast food place named Casa Sanchez. They are right there, sharing a small parking lot with other businesses. Make sure to call for an appointment, as they are always out in the field. I believe, they only mainly serve Long Beach, so they are usually just 20-30 mins away. I have waited about 15 minutes the most for my glass to be installed. Aside from being really fast, they have been the most affordable. Another glass repair shop quoted me almost twice what Fast Glass had quoted me! Couldn't have thought of a better name! Or they can also be called Fast and Affordable Glass! read more

I was looking for a glass top for a desk. I called these people first, cause they were the best rated in the area. The guy was kinda rude to me, so I just brushed it off and called some more places. Then I came back to them because their ratings were so good. So I called back (kind of hoping to talk to Lauren) and asked about delivery fees. The guy was really rude, giving me some sob story about how he has to drive ALL THE WAY FROM LONG BEACH and how he lives in Huntington and how he'd have to drive back at the end of the day anyway and blah blah blah. He also said he only services Long Beach, even though this pages says "and surrounding areas". Huntington Beach is like 15 minutes away. I have 10 windows need to be replace. 1st when I call a man answer the phone and said will call me back but a few hour after that no call I finally reach out again he said we don't give quote and are very busy running around however I will call u back tdy to get the address. no call after that instead this time when I call a woman answer the phone and ask me to call different company again she said we don't give quote. I needed some window screens replaced, so I gave these guys a call. James answered the phone,and proceeded to tell me how busy he was and how he wasn't sure if he'd have time to bid my job. Then goes on and on about how his dad went on vacation and left him in charge, and oh yeah, they're the cheapest in town, family owned local business. So he's going to come, same day to measure, and make my screens. He has no time frame, just 'before 4' I totally don't have anything else to do today. Ok, fine, they measure, but don't have time to make them same day, so the next day they show up after I call for an ETA, pop the screens in, no problem. My issue is that I don't want to hear how hard your job is when I'm writing you a check already. Screens look fine, NFD. They charge $60 to come out, and like $6-12 per screen. Better than other places that want $45-55 per screen. read more
