I made an online appointment and took the morning of the appointment off from work. 1 hour before my appointment I checked the confirmation email to make sure I'd be showing up at the right location. That's when I read that I was supposed to have called to confirm my appointment. Nowhere in the online process did it tell me that I needed to follow up with a phone call. So I called to find out if my appointment was still going to happen. The lady that answered the phone was very rude, defensive and argumentative. I tried to suggest that their online booking system should inform the customer that they need to follow up the appointment with a phone call, and she told me to go to a different company and then hung up on me. In my opinion she was completely unreasonable and absolutely unprofessional. I would not recommend Fast Glass to anyone. read more

Once input in my insurance claim, that same day I got a phone call and was advised to get the original windshield for my 2019 Honda Pilot. The second day they put the order and was told it would take at least 4 to six day for the windshield to arrive. It came early they set up a schedule to install it and calibrate the LKAS. Michael Forman is an absolute nightmare to deal with! If there were Negative - ZERO stars, he'd get 5 of them on this review. Before I begin, he's not available, drags his feet to get a job scheduled/completed and then has the audacity to make the buyer/owner feel like it is their fault his company/crew has to come back to fix items because they did a shoddy job! Last July, on one of our many scheduled visits, his guy was running late, (not his fault), but there was zero communication from Michael giving me a heads up after I had already waited 2 hours PAST my scheduled appointment time to have work done on my home. When I called him to state I've been waiting 2 hours past my scheduled time and to ask what was up? Michael was not hearing any of it... He had no answers why his guy was 2 hours late and eventually hung his phone up on me because he was being called to the carpet because, frankly, I was tired of dealing with his bad attitude and lazy work ethic. I immediately called DF Altmann's foreman and about 30 min later Fast Glass arrived. Michael offered no apology and no ownership to why he had no information, or why I had waited for 2 extra hours. Ridiculous. My wife and I are appalled that he is still in business in the Reno/Sparks area, especially having a contract with DF Altmann. Like they say, lowest bidder apparently does the least amount of quality work! Due to the way he apparently runs his company, he continuously does cheap work on homes and my wife and I have had visits from Fast Glass 10 times since we moved into our home last May 2017. Most of his crew are very, very nice gentlemen. They, themselves, have apologized each and every time they had to come back to finish/correct work that was previously done. Not once did Michael ever reach out apologize for our inconvenience and sent had his crew apologize for him. After speaking with some of his crew, they even confided in me that this is they way Michael does business. Due to his lack of attention to detail and running Fast Glass on our home in the end, we had scratches on 3 different glass installations, back slider screen door was replaced 3 different times, arrived damaged twice, and while waiting again for another install each time, the second to last time, Fast Glass attempted to use an "already damaged" screen door slider, from another job site, to replace on our house!!! Appalling. My advice to you would be to check who is running Fast Glass if you're interested in using them. Sadly, in our case, we were stuck with Fast Glass because they were already contracted on our build. He obviously has no interest in doing quality, efficient work; and has ZERO interest in having positive interactions with his customers. We have been telling everyone we know in the Sparks and Reno area not to use them because of our own experiences in dealing with Michael Forman. read more

I had an appointment set for 2 PM, they called me at 11 AM and stated they had a cancellation and would like to come now. I told him I would not be available until 1230 and they told me that they couldn't come at that time or at 2 PM. I questioned that because another cancellation had occurred, he was canceling my appointment. He said he would see me at 2 PM. 2 PM came, fast glass did not. Received a call at 4 PM stating they would be here in 25 minutes. I told the guy the appointment was at 2 PM and not to come to my house. I will not be using them for my new shower glass. read more

I called on a Monday to get my windshield replaced and we scheduled it for a Wednesday morning. By Wednesday afternoon, I still hadn't heard from them, so I called. The girl said I was next. Ok...well, two hours later, still nothing. I called back, talked to a guy who informed me that my paperwork was in the wrong binder, and apologized profusely. It really wasn't too big of a deal. He set me up for the next day, let me pick a time and even gave me a discount. That was totally unexpected. Mistakes happen in business, so I was able to get over it. The work was done great, and the installer was very professional and quick. I will definitely be back. Now, the reason for only four stars versus five is because the girl I spoke to first flat out lied. Not ok with me....if it wasn't for that they would easily get 5 stars! read more

I called around, got quotes- decided Fast Glass was for me. When I called to schedule, their phones were going crazy, and Brandy took my info and promised to call back by the end of the day to schedule my windshield replacement. She was pleasant, regardless of how inundated she was, and made sure to provide quality service. (most of the other shops I got quotes from were short, rude and rushed me off the phone like I was wasting THEIR time). When I dropped off my car, I was in and out of their front office in less than a few minutes. About 2 hours later, the front gal, Brandy, called again with notice that my window was done. Upon pickup of my car, I waited mayyybe 3 minutes (phones still going crazy) and was paid up and on my way. No one enjoys the process of having a window replaced, but it IS nice when the people you deal with doing the repair have real customer service and a repair I don't have to worry about, it is definitely a nice change from the norm. thanks guys. read more

Really happy we chose them to replace our windshield! We have a Pontiac Aztek which has a really expensive windshield.....I called ahead and they told me it was going to cost around $1400 YIKES! $139.00 for a windshield..awesome!... Great price! I did wait over 2 hours and I had an appointment first thing in the morning. Over all it was a decent experiance, its close enough to Baldnis that you can walk over for breakfast or lunch and play some slots. I also notice a few days later the trim (called a Pillar) between the windshield and door was broken they have to remove these to replace the windsheild so it must have broke then, later flew off on the highway, so inspect your car when they are done. read more

The guys were VERY late to the install (without calling), the craftsmanship was pure crap and rather than accepting responsibility, they blamed it on the imperfect surface. Was looking for some auto glass and had forgotten all about these folks. Needless to say I would never go to them for auto or anything..ever. These unorganized managers almost killed my opening of BVW Jewelers in 2014 due to their lack of incompetence working with myself and a local cabinet company. The craftsmanship was no where to be seen and lack of professionalism was nowhere to be seen. I brought in my Subaru to get the pitting fixed. They replaced the windshield in about 2 hours. It was back to the same horrible pitting not even 2 years later. I ordered a round glass layover for a dining room table and had to rent a vehicle to pick it up myself. When I got home (more than 40 miles away) they had cut the glass to the wrong diameter. I had to rent a vehicle again to take it back and had to wait an entire week until they sanded it down to the right size. I rented a vehicle for the third time to pick up the finished glass and asked to check the measurements before it was loaded into my car. Luckily I did, because they were about to put the wrong piece of glass in my car. For all of this hassle, that was clearly their fault, they refunded me $20! They refused to do anything more for me. The owner certainly does not care about his customers loyalty...or for his own appearance. read more

WARNING! I have never been treated as poorly, incompetently and unprofessionally as I was by Fast Glass and Mark the auto glass guy. This business repeatedly botched my windshield replacement job, dodged responsibility, lied to me and ultimately stole my money. Throughout my months-long experience Mark treated me with nothing but condescension and arrogance, never once offering any sort of apology for the inconvenience and wasted time he was causing me. The Fast Glass way of installing my windshield trim (without bothering to tell me about their shortcut method) was to break off the original clips and then slop on enough adhesive to try to glue the trim back into place. This effort resulted in severe windshield whistling and the trim eventually falling off the car. On the assumption that the original trim parts were old and maybe needed replacement anyway, I gave Fast Glass the benefit of the doubt and purchased expensive new genuine Honda trim parts which I provided to Mark to hopefully install properly this time. No such luck. Fast Glass ruined one of the new trim pieces during this installation (removed/lost the weather-stripping portion) but went ahead and "installed" the remains of the piece anyway. Mark sent me on my way without saying anything about the destruction of my new trim piece. Both side trim pieces fell off of the car again in a few days anyway. Rather than providing me with any sort of professional response or accepting even a glimmer of responsibility for the shoddy work, Mark instead tried to somehow shift the blame to the car and/or me (again, never a hint of an apology). Regardless, he did promise to order new side trim from Honda to replace the new piece that I had purchased and he had destroyed. I waited three weeks to call Mark to check on the status of his part order. He said he would check with Honda and call me back within a day. He didn't. Over the next four weeks I called Mark four more times (because each time Mark promised to check on his order status with Honda and then call me back within a day, but didn't). Mark once blamed Honda for having "lost" his order and told me that he had put in the order again. Never once did he call me as promised. During my last call, Mark ridiculously accused me of "pressuring" him too much and hung up on me. I called Honda the next day and found out that Mark had been flat-out lying to me repeatedly over the past seven weeks. Honda had never received either of the Fast Glass orders Mark claimed to have made, and if they had, the part would have arrived within two days. I went in to Fast Glass the next day to reasonably and calmly ask one last time for my windshield replacement job to be satisfactorily completed or to have my money refunded. Mark said again (with a straight face no less!) that I had been pressuring him too much and that he would no longer do business with me. He also refused to refund my money for the still uncompleted job. Laughably, the only solution to this fiasco that Mark could come up with was to inform me that I was no longer welcome in the building and threaten me with trespassing. This company (Mark) treated me with arrogant and unapologetic incompetence, repeatedly and verifiably lied to me and ultimately stole my money. My windshield trim is currently held in place only with the duct tape I have placed myself. Fortunately a competitor has now marveled at the mess Fast Glass left, and professionally described the correct and competent (not "Fast"!) way in which to complete the job. I consider the money Mark bumbled and lied his way into stealing from me a small price to pay to be permanently rid of ever having to do business with Fast Glass again. read more

Great service. They are BUSY. I think it took 4-5 days for an appointment, but once they were working on my car they worked right along. The price was exactly as quoted. It was so interesting sitting there listening to each phone call....when I called I was impressed at how complete their instructions were, I felt very individually cared for....but truth is EVERY CALL and customer is handled with that same level of know how! Let me start by saying that I used Fast Glass two years ago for a windshield replacement and I thought they were great. So recently when my wife got a crack in her windshield I insisted that she go to Fast Glass. Windshield got replaced and everything seemed fine until we drove her car at highway speeds. There was a loud whistling noise and you could feel the cold air rushing in from the gap in the sealant they use. I had her take it back and they first denied it was their fault but eventually admitted that they left a gap in the sealant. Fast forward to today, my wife is driving around in the rain and notices the headliner is wet, the seats are wet and there is water coming in from the top of the windshield. I have her take it back and they had left gaps in the top of the windshield. They say they fixed it but offered no remedy for the water stained headliner or water stained seats. Needless to say they have lost my business nor will I recommend them to anyone. read more

The quote was immediate over the phone and came in $50-$100 less than the other outfits I looked at locally (of which there were at least 5). I got my 2008 Jetta windshield replaced for $179 and in a little over an hour. The replacement was OEM and looked identical to, if not better than, the factory version.
