I called at 4:50pm and ssked when they closed, to which they replied 5:30. I asked if they had any time to do a quick oil change right now and that I was only 3 minutes away. They said bring it over. I got there and there was no line! I was in and out with great service in 20 minutes! And I have an undercarriage pan that needs to be removed and put back on to get to the oil pan. I was impressed. I've been taking my very high mileage vehicle here since moving to Morgan Hill in early 2013. They never overcharge, and service is as fast as it can be. I was told once that my serpentine belt needed changing as it was beginning to crack. I wasn't sure if they were just trying to sell me on something, so I went home and had my dad check. Sure enough, I really did need a new serpentine belt. They deal very well with my aftermarket oil pan, too. No complaints! read more

THIS PLACE SUCKS!!!!! They worked on my Honda accord last year in Oct. and within a few weeks my engine check light came on and my over heated on my way to work. The Tech who worked on my car did not re- connect the fan and my car over heated and I almost ruined my engine. BEWARE!!!!! I called and tried to get a hold of the manager and he did not show up to meet with me... The employee's treated me like crap and I felt very threatened by them. DO NOT GO HERE EVER.... Called the day before and explained that I have a medium duty Chev C4500 diesel which is much larger than a regular C2500. Looking for a oil and filter change and I have my own oil and filter. Just need the labour done. She quoted me $35.00 out the door. Went the next morning and yes, the truck is big so we only pulled the nose into the shop due to weight issues. I asked about the grease job for the front end as well as the drive shaft U joints. He stated that they do not have any way to grease the vehicle due to no new equipment and that the owner will not replace the old system. The tech said that the price also just jumped due to the vehicle size, $64.99. I got out the oil and filter and they did what was necessary to only change the oil and filter. Feeling a very disappointed with their service as they did not do any other work and I supplied all of the parts. read more

I registered for Yelp just to inform you all that Fasterlube in Morgan Hill is the absoulute worst place to service your vehicle. I went to get a simple oil change for my vehicle that was showing no signs of issues at all before my visit. After not only waiting an hour for completion, soon after leaving my check engine light goes on, unfortunately I had an appointment in San Jose so I planned to bring it in the next morning to see if maybe they tripped something that caused the light to go on. On my way back home, took my car 3 tries before it started, also when I turned of the car when I got home, the entire vehicle began vibrating. Next morning I get in my car and tried starting it, WHITE SMOKE shoots out of the exhaust and the car doesnt start! I'm pretty pissed at this point. My car had no signs of issues and the check engine light was NOT on before my visit. Eventually my car starts after about 5 tries and I rush over to the location. I inform the manager of the issue that began the evening prior and the unproffessional attitude I get from this guy was almost comical. He literally accuses my of lieing about the issues that the car is having and claimed I am just trying to get free work done for my truck. I'm sorry LMAO, I have better things to do than chasing around freebees all day especially bringing my vehicle to a party I already distrust. He refused to give me a print out of the invoice from the day prior (which I had left at home), gave me the run around that of course, It was just a coincidence that these issues are happening after the service. After I realized this guy is running in circles with me, giving excuses for a job terribly done and possibly covering up for employee neglegence I request the owner's number. He refuses to give it to me multiple times, now I KNOW there is an issue but.....This is where it gets even more rediculous!! A vendor that supplies parts to this locations is outside the door during the whole time this exchange is going on, I'm digging in to the manager to supply the owner's number so I can talk about everything that has happened. Eventually the manager sends the cashier in and says "he told me to give you the number for the owner" I'm thinking, why all of a sudden? but okay. He gives me the name Randall and a number. Of course immedietely I call the number and it is disconnected. (of effen course) He comes in to find me still there (You effin BET) I ask him why he supplied me bogus information!? He insists this is the appropriate contact name and number and has the stupidity to say "That guy is a vendor our parts, he knows the owner" so I attempt to capitalize on this...I go to the vendor and say "you know the owner?" He replied "Yes" The manager quickly moves to where I can not see him, I assume to make some sort of "Code Red, I'm an idiot" gesture. I say "The manager just supplied me with the owner's name and number, do you mind confirming this?" He says " sure" I read off the info and the guy suddenly states "I usually just call this dept. direct, sorry" then he just turns and leaves. I am out of words at this point, it's obvious something is severly wrong with the people that work here. They are not accountable, they do not respect their customers and they are shady as hell. Hello, I signed up for Yelp Just to rate this under par service i had at fasterlube. What a joke.. i should have left while i had the chance. First off i pull up and ask if they have time to smog my truck, the tech (still trying to get his name) said i was behind 1 other car and i would have to come back. Since i was on lunch i got in my truck and was pulling out and he comes up to my truck and tells me he has time now. i filled out all the forms. Gave him my info for contacting me when it was done. I went got lunch he said it would be about 25 min and he would call when it was complete. I never got a call so 40 min later i walk back and find my truck with the hood open. I go into the office and the rude lady art the counter tells me the tech wants to talk about why it didnt pass. So i walk outside and hear a complete BS story on how i didn't pass because of a part i bought the truck already with so he failed to call me and let me know it wasn't going to pass right away. He knew it wouldn't pass without even testing it. All he wanted was to make it harder on me on getting my truck to pass now i have a fail on my test for something i could have fixed with a little advice. I will never go back for service, and will definitely be going back to find out the techs name so you can avoid his horrible customer service. A little help would have gone a long way if he would have called before testing my vehicle. Now they can deal with there horrible reviews. ****FASTERLUBE MESSED UP MY CAR COSTING ME $$$$$***** Today, I had my Toyota Corolla serviced by the dealer after having the previous oil change performed at Fasterlube. The Corolla employs a canister filter where only the filter element inside the canister is changed. The dealer's mechanic had to literally DESTROY the canister because it had been tightened as though the car had been serviced by a gorilla. They told me this happens on occasion when people have their cars serviced by inexperienced people, or fly-by-night oil change companies employing people who don't know what they are doing. Now my car is sitting at the dealer, waiting for a replacement canister to come in, and I can only guess what this will cost me. read more

I took my Chevy silverado 2500 duramax diesel for an oil change and asked them to fill the diesel exhaust fluid as it was low. They charged me $25 a gallon for the DEF fluid and it took 5 gallons. The oil change was also $125. The total was over $250. I thought that was a very high price so I went to the local auto part store and found the DEF fluid for $7.00 a gallon and called the local chevy dealer in San Jose and they only charge $79 for the oil change. So today I stopped by to see if they had time for a smog check. A guy said yes and i confirmed, "you can smog it right now?" he said yes so i signed the smog paperwork and waited in the lobby. They pulled my truck right up and popped the hood. Few minutes later they inform me i have no oil in the engine. Coming from livermore i find it hard to believe but i'm already being charged for the smog at this point so i agree to an oil change. Then 20 minutes later he drives it out. Turns out its just done with the oil change and they move it to the smog lane. WHY DID IT GO IN THE LUBE LANE IF I ONLY WANTED A SMOG?! It all doesn't make sence and now I'm waiting for an HOUR for a stupid smog. I have a fleet of 12 vehicles and will NEVER bring my business here again. SHADY! read more

It had so many people there with their cars, that I knew I had found the right place . I just moved down from Menlo Park and have never seen such great service with a smile!! They had my monte carlo for almost 3 consecutive months. It was returned with minor problems. Obviously if you pay for something you want your money's worth so I took it back and they fixed the problems free of charge. I swore that I would never write a bad yelp review. I have eaten at restaurants that the food and or service stinks and or had been treated rudely I never wanted to focus on that people have bad days right? But in this case I feel like people should be warned. They told me that my transmission fluid was dangerously low and very dirty and really needed to be flushed (well over a hundred dollars on top of the oil change and the other extra charges) I said no but if I would have believed them I would have unnecessarily spent way more money than I can afford. I wasn't bothered by the guy yelling obscenities in Spanish when we pulled up, or the American dad episode yelling obscenities in English in the waiting room. Although I am sure it would bother me if there were kids around. I wasn't even bothered by the young girl in the office with her patronizing tone. Like an idiot I agreed to pay to have the transmission oil just topped off for 15 more dollars But when the story changed when I asked if they could just pour it in and we could go or do we have to wait she says "no you don't have to wait... but then now you need to wait 20 more minutes because adding a quart of transmission fluid takes much longer when its so dirty(no joke). It was insulting. I told them I was sorry I couldn't wait and I left. I was also bothered by the fact that all the settings in my Prius were fiddled with. My mph setting was set to kmph and I didn't know how to turn it back, the economy setting was turned on which might have been ok if they had a reason to do it and told me why. I ended up going to pick up my daughter from school in Hollister and stopped in the speedy lube over there they fixed the speedometer back to miles per hour and they told me fasterlube most likely never checked the transmission fluid the Prius doesn't have a dipstick for that and that you only need to think about flushing it after 90,000 miles, my car only has 50,000 they didn't charge me anything even though they were busy and it took their time. Don't be lured by the convenient location they are rip offs. Much safer to go to the speedy lube in Hollister or the other oil change place by trader joes off of Dunne. read more

So this year my vehicle needed to go to a STAR smog check station as you can see I am a technician myself and do smog checks but unfortunently we currently aren't a STAR station so we couldnt do the smog at my place. I walked into SAFEWAY on tennant and monterey and was suprised to see a coupon for 30 dollars plus certificate i quickly cut the coupon out and was on my way this location is right at the corner of safeway. I was only in the waiting area for about 20 minutes or soand my car passed and i was a happy customer I cannot really say anything about oilchanges or tune ups but i will be back in two years for my smog 5 Stars for service. read more

Please do not take your vehicle to this shop! All three of our vehicles needed oil changes at the same time, so over the course of 3 days I took each one in for service. The first day, I was told our air filter was filthy and needed to be replaced immediately for an additional $20. The second day we were told our rear differential fluid on our truck was dangerously low and for an additional $15 they could top it off right then. In addition, later that day, our truck overheated because the water reservoir was low. I checked the paperwork from the same day and it said they had filled it. I was left in the Costco parking lot with my hood up and two small children in the car. On the third day when I took in our other car, I was told my transmission fluid was really dirty and needed to be flushed. He said it is normally $149 but he would do it for $120 and 20 more minutes of my time. I questioned their advice because we had our transmission replaced not that long ago. I was told that maybe the new transmission was bad and causing the fluid to be burnt. I declined all additional services each day, because my husband usually handles all auto repairs/maintenance beyond basic oil changes and I was suspicious by this point. As it turns out, when my husband inspected our air filter, it was not dirty nor did it need to be replaced. My husband attempted to top off the rear differential fluid himself and found it to be so full he was only able to add about 1/5 of a new bottle of fluid. And lastly, when he checked the transmission fluid, he found it to be bright ruby red. To confirm it, we just took the same vehicle to the Honda of Morgan Hill dealership for a recall repair and they noted on the paperwork that the transmission fluid was fine. You may feel like you are getting a good deal with one of their coupons, but they are clearly not thorough in the work they promise and are coming up with bogus additional services to pad their pockets. read more
