I've been to this location a few times already but yesterday was a heck of an experience. I hyperextended my foot doing Muay Thai and it literally just hurts not even doing anything or putting weight on it. I had to work the next day so decided to go have it checked out. The nurse that was there yesterday 10/04/2025 had no bedside manners what so ever and was incredibly sarcastic. My husband asked her if I could get a few days off of work note so I can stay off my foot. And the nurse was irritated about that, came back and sarcastically asked my husband if the note was good enough. I didn't know me missing work would be affecting her pay. Anyways, won't be coming back here. The nurse practitioner was no help either or didn't tell the nurse not to be rude. read more

ok my biggest complaint is there billing. They don't inform their patients that they can automatically debit from your card on file for a bill. I woke up this morning to 180.00 debit from a visit last month. I never agreed to that I never received a bill in the mail with the balance. Their billing specialist says they don't have to inform me of balance. you can send a statement and warn of the balance before you do it. I'm a shocked and apalled I haven't even seen what my insurance paid. Do not go here they are crooks. read more

I made an appointment online and upon arrival this lady is extremely rude and says I have to reschedule for tomorrow and just looks at me. So I asked her anytime after 9/10am hours and she booked me for 8am and said nothing so I walked out. I'm there next morning at 7:50 to show up early to fill out anything I'd need to and as I'm walking in she again rude "we don't open till 8 no patients till 8am....like ok i understand that now but no reason for the attitude so early like ? Was a walk (6/20/22 at 7:20pm) in and was told they could not see me because they are waiting for two appointments to show up, but she tells me I can walk in tomorrow or make an appointment...yeah because that's working so well right now. She was rude and had the expression of I could care less which spoke the same as her actions of just letting wait or leave until the other two appointments show up. I left. This is the first time I visited this facility, that was due to pre employment drug screening. First of all, that I had to use the tablet which is not user friendly at all and secondary the girl behind the receptionist think that us the patients should know how to navigate a unfamiliar equipment. I guess since it is Sunday and she had to be at work, she had an attitude. A process that take no longer than 2 to 3 minutes, (peeing in the cup) I was there for over an hour???? I asked her for another facility close to this location and she just stated with attitude that you can go to the one on Occonor road. I would never go to fastmed facility if I can especially to the one here at Universal city. read more

Wayback January 2022 I got sick out of work for 3-5 days. Then, I was told by Fast Med Kitty Hawk location, if I used my insurance I would merely be paying $90 and without insurance $120. So, obviously I used my insurance since urgent care front desk told me that information. February, I received a letter from insurance that I still own another $90 but I was told if I already pay that up front I should be good no need to pay again. Fast forward, April 2022. Letter came from Fast Med that I still need to pay another $90 and additional $9. Then, I called my insurance and urgent care billing department, we had conference call. I explain to them what I was told on January with the front desk who attended me. In short, they're still asking me to pay another $99 because insurance didn't cover all. But as a consumer, I think I was scammed since deductible/co-pay is merely paid once, not to mention they didn't do any laboratory test or anything just asked me what happened gave me prescription and go to pharmacy. Also, I was told that day when I came in that $90 is merely the payment nothing else nothing more. I really regret coming to this location, never had this experience before, other Fast Med locations I used to go are really good and providing good service, but NOT THIS LOCATION. Tried to reach out with them all they can tell me is "manager will call you back next day" but no one did. I got anxiety attack because of what they did to me. I will NEVER EVER COME BACK AND DEAL WITH THIS URGENT CARE ANYMORE! Telling people lie isn't good. Given, I got sick, no work no pay and need to pay double for the deductible. Receiving false and misleading information is NOT GOOD AT ALL. If I knew I would be paying double $189 IN THE VERY FIRST PLACE I WILL NOT USE MY INSURANCE AND JUST DO PAY WITHOUT INSURANCE WHICH IS $120. I kept telling both the urgent care and insurance this, but no resolution at all. I know for some people $99 isn't high amount but for me it is. I could pay my utility bill for that, I worked hard for it and I pay what I was told to pay that day but somebody isn't doing their job right and you're affecting people's financial. Insanely slow. There is NOTHING fast about FastMed. I made an appointment ahead of time, did all the paperwork and insurance ahead of time. Used the eCheck-in and everything. It's been 2 hours now and still haven't seen the doctor. When we got in the room, an hour past our scheduled appointment, we were told there were 3 people ahead of us still. Nothing fast and nothing urgent at all. SlowMed Whatever Care Wonder what would have happened if we came in bleeding. Be dead by now. read more

This place is trash. Triage is a joke here. If the person bringing in the patient is the one asking questions and you blow me off, the patient walks out the door unfixed. And male nurse is trash for talking down to me like that. Avoid this place. Hopefully they go out of business. read more

I'm a self-pay (No insurance) patient and this facility was a fraction of what other urgent care offices were quoting me, thanks to the coupon on their site. There was no waiting, I saw a dr immediately on Christmas Day. I will be back at this location in the future if needed. read more

I went in to this clinic because of an ear infection. The people were all very nice and courteous. The wait was a bit long but it is an urgent care, they usually only have 1 NP at a time to see all the patients. I was there for about an hour and a half total and saw the NP for 5 minutes. Again though... it's urgent care, it's to be expected. I would recommend this place and I will go back if I need to. read more

Ended up that may not have been urgent however we were treated from the moment we walked in as it it were so. Immediately looked to be sure our insurance would cover, got us registered, seen, tested, and out, speedy!! I've seen some reviews about the insurance filing so we shall see when that time comes. Avoid. The staff is inexperienced, even assuming they show up on time. The last two times we have been there, the level of knowledge and common sense of the nurse practitioner has been disappointing. We just went for camp physicals, she didn't read the form. Then she accused me of not bringing 'documentation' because she didn't understand how to use the medical software. New, modern facility. Staff are nice and pa was wonderful. Processing insurance takes the longest. I was thinking it would 15-20 visit became more like 1 hour+. My kids became restless. This place can't manage to send a prescription to the pharmacy. They told my wife they sent it, but the pharmacy never got it and they apparently can't be bothered to answer the phone after 1039, 30 minutes before they close to send it correctly. read more

Twice they messed up my daughter's blood work to find out if she is pregnant. 1st time... blood was stored wrong ... 2nd time they claimed they would expedite the results due to their previous error. 3 days later my daughter has to call them and guess what..they LOST THE BLOOD!!! Had to visit the clinic today and I have to say I was pleased with the care I received. Loved being able to select a check in time and not have to sit and wait at the clinic. No one wants to sit in a waiting room when they're not feeling well. When I arrived for my visit I was greeted by a professional and friendly young lady at the front desk. Since I preregistered there wasn't a ton of paperwork to do upon arrival. I waited maybe 5 minutes tops to go to back office where I was screened by Juan. He was professional, friendly, compassionate and made me feel comfortable. I was seen very promptly by Jane, FNP. She listened to my concerns and was reassuring. She diagnosed my symptoms and had me out the door and on my way to pharmacy within 15 minutes but without making me feel rushed or like I was waiting her time. Being a nurse for many years I admittedly can be a little critical on standard of care. But the crew on duty today more than met my needs and standards. Absolutely horrible! The staff was inattentive and rude. I did go back fast but the MD on call literally spent 5mins with my son and we were out. Took my son to his pediatrician the following day and he was diagnosed with something completely different then what he was diagnosed with at FastMed. I only left one star as zero stars is not an option. I have been to both the UC clinic and the one on Roy Richards. ALL staff are very curt, impersonal, and unfriendly. I was falsely billed, money is taken from my account PRIOR to even the insurance processing the claim, which WAS approved and paid in full by the insurance company. NO REFUND.... then I was DOUBLE charged and money pulled from my account again... NO REFUND. DO NOT TRUST this company. I will tie my own tourniquet before stepping into any of this facility again. I am sure a good many decent people work there, I just didn't meet or speak to a single one. read more

I was seen fairly quickly for an ankle injury. Without even touching my foot or any xrays, etc the doctor diagnosed me with tendonitis and told me to ice it. Nothing for pain or anything. Pain worsened so I went elsewhere and was xrayed and did an ultrasound. I had small tears in my achilles tendon and was placed in a boot. One week later it completely ruptured. This took place in December. I had surgery in March and am still in a boot just beginning to bear weight again. It is now mid June. I feel that if the doctor would have taken the time to properly check out my injury and had put me in a boot the rupture would have been avoided. STAY AWAY. read more

I was recommended here by family and I'm glad I went. Extremely polite and professional. Also, very quick. The front desk looked up my insurance and made it easy. My wife and I are from CA. We went to 3 different urgent cares that Blue Shield of CA said we could use. We called 4 urgent cares and 3 said they would accept it but once we arrived they had some reason why they couldn't take it. I would highly recommend NOT to visit this clinic! My family member has been sick for 3 weeks now, has paid 2 visits to this place. She is still not better. She sat in the room with the PA, burning up with fever on the SECOND visit, he didn't even take her temperature nor test her for the flu! Who doesn't test someone with flu like symptoms for the flu during peak flu season!?!? He brushed her off and said it was a sinus infection, gave her more meds that didn't help her. She finally went to another Dr., turns out she has the flu! And of course having been told that she wasn't contagious, she's been close to others this whole time. Every time I've gone here (3 different occasions over the past 1.5 years) I've had to go back about 7-10 days later due to worsening symptoms. The provider is always a physician assistant, never a physician. Each time the provider has walked in and out of the room within about 30 seconds-1 minute without checking anything, or actively listening to me, and magically had a diagnosis and medications I need that are never effective, thus my going in 7-10 days later to explain that I've only gotten worse. As a healthcare provider myself, the lack of patient care is quite frustrating. I called the clinic once to ask a question about my medication and the front desk employee refused to let me speak to the provider. I do not recommend going here unless you already know your diagnosis. I gave them a fair chance but will now be going elsewhere. read more

Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The PA seemed to care about our problem. The day of service was fine and on that day I would have said this was awesome BUT things went south after that. Here's what happened. My son was seen for sore throat. Diagnosed with and treated for Strep infection. They coded his visit as cerumen impaction(ear wax)sooooo the insurance company didn't pay their part because the diagnoses didnt fit the care prescribed (strep test and antibiotic). The day I got the bill I contacted them and explained what the situation was. I was told that they were sorry and it would be fixed and resent to my insurance company. Mistakes happen and so I was happy with that, except we are almost 4 months from the exam date and they haven't fixed it! My insurance has not received any thing else from them just more bills asking for payment. I told them if they would provide me with the corrected bill I would send it to my insurance myself but they have not done this either. I have filed a complaint with my insurance and they are going to request more info from them. They are making a simple thing into a big hassle! Not happy! read more
