You keep your doors open 24 hours yet charge a $119 after hours fee on top of our deductible which brings the payment to what is basically pay if I just went to an ER. Why offer 24 services if you're just going to take advantage of people for coming to you when you're the only urgent care open 24 hours? Greed. You're more worried about lining your pockets than actually helping people. As if you don't get enough money from the insurance companies. Such a scam. The front desk persons, the medical assistant and PA Hicks were all very helpful and cordial. Was told by staff and doctor AFTER I paid my co pay that they could not help or treat me because they don't treat high blood pressure and its symptoms at this location. Was told to go to this clinic by BCBS customer service as I don't have a PCP. When I sneeze it feels like I'm being stabbed as I was hit by a drunk driver 03/29/25 (who died en route to hospital). These "professionals" took a duplicate set of X-rays and "referred" me to a sports medicine ortho who told me A-They are idiots for referring a chest injury to them, and that B they wouldn't accept me for my shoulder as it was due to MVA. Spoke with clinic front desk staff today to tell them of their colossal mistakes and how to fix them. I've been stonewalled with no legitimate referral or answer to the sub par care. As soon as I get an MRI and the extent of injury I will be contacting the Board of Medicine and a malpractice attorney. They aren't good detectives. I figured they might be as good as a primary care, but obviously corporate orders are to keep things cheap and not spend money on bloodwork. It's like a pseudo emergency room, so keep that in mind. It would be cool if they posted what they will help on their website, but they don't really specify and keep it very vague because the ppl they can get away with not running bloodwork on, make up for the people that have already obvious blood work needs. So basically if you have concerns about an organ, but you aren't sure what, do not come here. I'm sure they are fine if you know that you have cirrhosis, or heart issues. I went here today because of an ingrown toenail. I had injured my toe by accidentally kicking a stool almost two months ago. Since then I had been soaking my foot in epsom salt most every night. It was not getting better and I couldn't stall any longer. The weight of the bed sheet woke me up at night. I checked in to Texas Mediclinic online; when I got there I had to sign a couple forms and was taken back to an exam room right away. The nurse took my vitals and the doctor came in less than five minutes later. The doctors name is Jennifer, she was very nice, caring and compassionate. Jennifer took her time explaining the procedure. The 4 injections to numb my toe hurt! She got me water and an ice pack for my head(I felt lightheaded and nauseous after the first shot). I put a cool cloth on my eyes while the numbing medication went to work. I asked her when she was going to start and she was already done. She had removed the nail and bandaged it up quickly. Jennifer said "you have a blue toe and I'm done". Hopefully I don't injure myself again, but if I do I'm going back to the TexasMedi clinic in Universal City! read more

The online portal is very user friendly you need to read it carefully. You can upload documents so you won't have to fill out much paper work online . It went by so fast I enjoyed it . The only reason I didn't give it all 5 stars . The Dr Leon Richardson didn't have very good bedside manors. Introduce him self sat in his chair . Read off his clipboard as if he has a check off list. Then check my ear . I was goin in for severe ear pain. Asked a few questions gave me a shot and prescribed me some drops for my ears . Hopefully the next time a patient goes it . My second visit to the Texas Med Clinic. First time was pre Covid. Pre Covid the service was slow. The front desk staff come off a little rude. So they called a name and we really didn't pay attention because it was really not loud enough to hear. Then I stood up asking if they called a name. Then one employee said well we didn't know how to pronounce the name. I said well you could of tried. I personally always try to pronounce peoples names. One person stated that "We just call the patient by another name rather than butchering their actual name. Not everyone is the same and tries to pronounce names." Lol if that's the case start giving everyone a number and just call numbers than names. It's so unprofessional for the front staff to act this way. These employees are the face of the business. Be sure to watch the monitor in the front for your wait time. The staff in the back are great. The med tech, and Dr. Flores. We did not have any problems with them. They were great. Dr Flores made his recommendations and printed out doctors note. Then when we got back to the front to check out it was like we're were back in the twilight zone. My husband and I have been here several times. Every time we have come in they are telling us our Co payment is $200.00 dollars. They didn't even call insurance. They just went by our insurance card that says ER is 200. This is an urgent care not an ER. The girl at the desk was very rude. She told us it was 200 my husband asked if she could please check and call insurance and she said no. She said we had to go somewhere else. My husband was too sick to go anywhere else. I called insurance and they verified it is urgent care and the deductible is 50.00. I asked if he could talk to her. He then told her it was 50.00. After he hung up she told me she needed to verify on her end. They are just very rude but just not that they are turning you away when you are sick. Don't go here. Perhaps for required shots, but in the past found services to be very limited. My son went there years ago and got diagnosed with a broken toe. Shoe was intact, but skin broken over fracture. Therefore, an open fracture - no antibiotics were prescribed, nor pain meds. Sent to ortho. After that, for other injured toes, taped them up and would go straight to ortho. I would give zero stars if I could. This place needs to be shut down or re staffed. Went in last night with my newborn, there was no other place to go in the middle of the night besides waiting in the ER for 4 hours. It's a 24 hour clinic and they charge you $110 for an "after hours fee" plus the $225 just to be seen without insurance. They do not accept Medicaid. The DR didn't even touch or examine my newborn, he checked his ears for a possible infection and listened to his lungs. That was it. And he diagnosed him with possible colic. At 8 weeks? He's never cried since the day he was born. And now I have to take him to the hospital for possible RSV that has been overlooked due to negligence on their end. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU CAN HELP IT! I showed up at the Texas MedClinic on Sunday morning at 5 a.m. - not a great time to need medical care - but Leon (NP), Richard and Nora were truly the best. I felt like I had an entire medical team all to myself. They listened carefully, made me feel at ease and helped diagnose why I was having severe pain in my lower back. The following day - a nurse contacted me to see how I was doing - and the following day they called with blood results. I had a couple of questions - and they got answers and got back with me. Dr. Autumn Galbreath ran a chest x-ray and determined pneumonia, but didn't bother to run a lab to determine if the pneumonia was behind a bacterial or viral cause, one thing you MUST always do whenever one is with pneumonia; general rule of thumb, determine if it's bacterial or viral! $300 all for in the end to receive only cough medication. This clinic has a great location and could provide adequate care if they operated with a sense of purpose. Unfortunately, the lack of care is evident. You can sit for 3 hours and periodically have your blood pressure checked, fever, etc. But, after an hour and you see the doctor another hour for treatment. Went in passing blood. Doctor was prompt but just told me it was probably a hemoroid. Examined me and gave me a list of where to follow up if the problem persists. Pretty much no help. Then I was billed $390. Can't pay it? Don't worry they auto charge the card you copay with a few days after you get the bill. No finance options. No help from the call center. Terrible communication for walk-ins. I came in as a walk-in around 2:45 so I expected to wait. I went to the iPad at the entrance and filled out my info as requested. The iPad screen told me that it would be about a 60 minute wait and asked if I was going to return or wait in the waiting area. I selected return and a message popped up saying I would get a text notification. I got a text shortly after I left asking me to confirm my visit and with a link to fill out paperwork, which I did. I went back after about an hour even though I hadn't gotten a text yet, and the lady at the desk told me they had no record of me checking in. She said that she would check me in and I would be called "in a few minutes". I waited for another hour before I went to check how much longer it would be. A different lady told me my appointment time was 11:00pm. I told her that I was initially told 60 minutes and was then told "a few minutes." The lady apologized and said that the wait time should have been explained to me. I wasn't able to wait until 11:00pm so I left. The check in process needs to be fixed. read more

Always been a fan oF this clinics night crew and doctors. Walked in yesterday afternoon with my sick 5 year old son and checked in. Within 30 minutes, my son was #1 in queue. 1.5 hours later we're still in #1 queue with multiple other patients arriving and going in to see the doctor. I do understand the triage queue concept, yet I overheard one of the checkins asking for a simple work release note and was seen within 20 minutes. We left as there was no apparent use of the queue and the triage process was questionable. I'll return in the future if it's midnight, but never again during daytime staff. read more

DON'T GO HERE unless you want inaccurate drug test results!! I went here for a pre-employment drug test. Now, I've only done a drug test once before a couple years ago, so I wasn't really sure on how the procedures were supposed to be. First off, the lady must've been having a bad day, since she was extremely rude and uncaring. Even when I asked clarifying questions she got annoyed at me. Second, there was already a urine sample in the toilet before I went to go take my test. The lady said not to flush, so I assumed it was normal and didn't flush it before taking my test. Third, when I finished and brought the sample to her she said the sample was cold (my parents and I have guessed that some of the previous sample got into the cup when I was trying to pee in it). I asked if she had water so I could take the test again, but she said "it's fine, we'll see if the lab can use this", and wrote it off as up to temp. A couple days later my test came back positive. I have never done drugs in my life and I called to ask what was going on. Understandably enough, they said there was nothing they can do. It was my word against the lady's and against the results. Thankfully my employers let me take a hair drug test (way more accurate than a urine test and can detect drugs up to a month of use before). If this hair test came out negative, this would prove the urine test to be inaccurate. I decided to drive all the way to the New Braunfels location which was a lot cleaner and had friendlier staff by far. Got my hair drug test done, and low and behold, it came out negative, thus proving the urine test results to be false. I would advise Texas MedClinic to reiterate the importance of policies and rules to their staff at the Selma location. They could've cost me this job, and who knows how many other lives they may have potentially screwed up. Please do better y'all. read more

The online check in sounds great, but in reality does not speed up the time you will spend at this facility. I checked in online 3 hours ago and relieve the text to arrive at 1:12:PM. When I got here, they had me fill out more paperwork (in addition to the online registration) and took payment right away prior to treatment or exam. They called me back for blood pressure and temperature after about 30mins, but then sent me back to the waiting room. It is now 2:44 and I have still not been seen, 1 hour and 32 minutes past my appointment time. I desperately want to leave, but don't want the time spent to have been a waste at this point.
