They have different kinds of cats and kittens with different shapes and colors just waiting to be loved. After a short screening application, your new friend is yours! Cats and kittens have an adoption fee of $100. If you're looking for dogs, they don't bring them on site. Instead, they're all at a foster house in Brentwood. Man, I've never seen so many dogs in one place! Small and big dogs alike! You can tell they're well taken cared of at Joy's house. Usually you can just sit there, observe all their personalities, and pick from there. I'm sure one will steal your heart like my Wyatt has. We added our Sons dog, a Shepsky, also adopted from Coppers Dream, to our family, as he was always traveling. Those two dogs spent many years together, always protective of me and of each other on our many hikes. I would periodically send in photos to CD, and always had a friendly reply. Almost like a family. One morning, up in ALanden Quicksilver Park, going up a steep narrow trail, they suddenly half turned and let rip with ferocious barks. A cougar came racing down the hill, I guess it wanted us for breakfast. Nope. Their utter ferocity in their barking and stance was one obstacle. The second was Bear Spray. That cougar decided quickly that this would not be a good way to start the day. Those two adopted dogs were Loyal, lovable, Protective, Goofy. Play ball? You bet. They loved swimming, exploring and making friends. My lab lived until she was 15. Our Shepsky passed a year or so before. Coppers Dream has always been professional, friendly and easy to approach. Now, I'm back looking for one more dog. Our young, female GSD is lonely without her big sister and big brother..

I didn't need to bring anything except for my little boy. The lady owner helped my son remove his fur ring, informed me about the pellets they use (from Germany to closely mimic the natural chinchilla diet), and I truly appreciate her assistance and carefulness. I will definitely be returning for boarding/grooming and hope to adopt another chinchilla from this rescue in the future.

Before entering, you'll need to sign a waiver, put on provided shoe covers, and sanitize your hands--it's clear they take the health of the cats and the cleanliness of the space seriously. The pricing is also very reasonable for a quick dose of "purr-therapy" at $15 for adults and $10 for kids for a 30-minute session. The environment is clean and bright. We saw everything from sleepy tabbies curled up in wooden cubbies to social, friendly cats lounging on the sofas. My daughter was in heaven--she even wore her favorite kitten dress for the occasion! Visiting is super easy. Just walk right in. You sign a waiver and you wait for the next group to be called, which happens pretty quickly. It's $15 for 30 minutes and honestly that's just enough time without getting bored or feeling rushed. They have lots of young kittens so most cats are alert and playful. You do have some in the back who just prefer to be sleeping and there are plenty of couches for you to rest with those laid back cats. They ask that you not pick up the cats but sometimes they'll just plop onto your lap and what do you do if you have to move?! While there were a never ending line of people coming to visit the cats, it never felt too crowded on a Friday afternoon. There were LOTS of younger children, around 6-10 and some of them were not conducting themselves properly around the kittens, yet no one said anything. There are staff, maybe volunteers, in the space with the cats but no one seemed to say anything to the kids who were being too loud or aggressively playing with the kittens. You can tell some of the kittens were scared when kids would run towards them. Mini Cat Town seems to be a successful business. It's a good idea to visit if you're looking to adopt so you can get a feel for the cat you'd make a good match with. It's also a good place to visit if you need some cat loving but don't want to have one of your own.

Jessie walked in, got down on the floor, and introduced herself to Toast like they were old friends, not sworn enemies. Toast actually relaxed (I didn't know she had that setting at the vet).
