Very casual place, order from one counter pick up from the other and find a seat either in the hallway or outdoors. The air conditioner was blasting too cold for us inside, so we ate outside, which was perfect on a breezy Hawaiian day. Had the 3.5 ounce lobster roll which came with a roll that's oh-so sweet, lobster meat, and butter. They are generous with the butter which adds to the deliciousness of the roll. The bread tastes like it was made fresh. It is crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and soaking up all the goodness of the lobster and butter. French fries were well cooked and crispy and didn't need any seasoning. This is the best lobster roll I've ever had! I'll be back!
We finally made it to Fat Cheeks to try their famous lobster rolls. They have a variety of items on their menu but we were there for the lobster rolls. Servers are friendly and but deciding what to eat can be a challenge as everything on the menu looks delicious! We ordered and enjoyed- Buttered lobster rolls and a side of fries. The lobster roll was delicious, but I did wish the roll was more buttery. The roll was packed with lobster meat which I did enjoy. Overall, it was a great restaurant to stop in for lobster rolls. I'd definitely stop by again to try their other rolls on the menu.
Ambiance: Outdoors seating, similar to a "food truck" setting. Service: Fast and to the point Food: The burgers and lobster rolls were really good and large portioned! Not much more to say but everything tasted fresh!
Fat cheeks is one of my go-to places when I'm craving a lobster roll. Although they had sold out of fries when we went (close to closing), the lobster roll still hit the spot. Service is also friendly. Make sure to order at the cashier inside, and pickup your order outside! Food is made to order so it does take a bit of time. Kama'aina discounts on Wednesdays :)
I love their french fries, chicken sandwich, and smash burgers. I've tried their lobster roll when they were at the Ohana Hale Marketplace years back - so yummy, but nowadays I'm never there earlier enough to get it. I am really gonna miss this place :[
I really enjoyed the food. I got the Smashburger, fries and the fish & fries. So so good. The burger had so much taste and was filled with tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, special sauce. The fish was so soft and the outside was a good crispy with a little herb taste. They give four huge pieces. So worth it! The workers were super friendly. They were super patient and asked if I had any questions about the menu. This place is in ward located inside next to the golf area. You order inside but pick up your food outside. Lots of chairs to sit and enjoy your food there. Definitely going back to try their lobster burger. The prices are very reasonable too! My burger was $10 something Fries are $4 something Fish and fries are $20
Love the catchy name. Not feeling the vibes in terms of quantity and price. Come as you are. Free parking in Ward Center. There's one window inside. Lacked signage on where to go for pick up. Observe where the customer(s) walk when buzzer vibrates. Customer service was standard with drink and fries offered. Another $2 for ginger ale in aluminum can. Additional costs for fries which I declined. Tips prior to ordering: 1) Everything on the menu is ala carte. 2) Place your order inside, pay, then employee will provide a receipt and buzzer. 3) When buzzer vibrates, turn left, step outside, turn left, return buzzer, and pick up your order at the window. Squeezed the lemon over 3.5 oz lobster which was lightly seasoned, buttered on a grilled roll for $23.95. Quick bite for a quick lunch between appointments. Simplicity. I do not envision spending over $40 for a 6 oz lobster roll.
Haven't been here in 3 years since i'm usually at work during their operating hours. I decided to stop by for lunch on a Tuesday. It cost $23.90 for a lobster roll and it no longer comes with chips like it used to! i was disappointed with almost a 30 minute wait time but I didn't order ahead of time since it was an impromptu visit. I recommend ordering ahead of time online or the wait is going to eat up your lunch break. The lobster roll was good, although smaller than other places, the entire sandwich is lobster which was really good, no fillers of veggies and other things like some other lobster roll places. The lobster was fresh and the bread was grilled wonderfully with butter. If ordering in person you order on the inside then wait for your food on the outside. Highly recommend if in the area but order ahead of time!
Took advantage of their Wednesday 10% discount for local residents and phoned in my order of the Jumbo Lobster roll. It was so buttery, delicious, well grilled bread and filled with fresh lobster meat. So lucky to have this place near home. Hubby loved their burger. Super nice staff, and will come
Stopped here for lunch late afternoon on a weekday. It's kind of hard to find, tucked into a little spot in a shopping center food court. We ordered the smash burger with fries and it had a great flavor and was cooked to order. There is seating inside the food court or outside on the patio. Service was fast and friendly.

YUMMMM! Went to Fat Cheeks after a morning on a boat and food was sooo good!! * Buttered Lobster Roll ($23.90): SO TASTY AND BUTTERY. I loved it. * Lobster Smash Cheeseburger ($21.90): Filling and very good as well. * Fish and Fries ($18.50): Oh so crispy and fish was fresh! The fries were also very crispy and perfectly made as well. * Fried Chicken Sandwich ($12): Good but a tad salty with the added sauce. Everything we tried was so good! Orders are taken inside and there are a tables inside and outside for dining. After ordering at the front, you'll get a beeper that'll alert you when food is ready for pick up at the counter. Parking was easy. Fat Cheeks is located in an unassuming shopping mall with free parking in a garage across from the Ala Moana pier. Overall, Fat Cheeks goes down as one of my favorite spots I've tried during my trip to O'ahu. Prices are super reasonable - esp their lobster roll! (Most lobster roll spots around Waikiki are ~$30+) I highly recommend everyone to try Fat Cheeks.
Everything is so crispy!!!! The crisp is insane. The lobster roll is good. I wasn't crazy about it but it was good. Fish and fries were so fresh and crispy and the tartar sauce was so good. Everything was a bit too greasy for me so the spicy ketchup really helped cut through the grease haha. The fish in the fried fish was so juicy and fat and tender!!

So. So. So delicious. The chimichurri on my shrimp roll was unexpected perfection. Exactly what it needed. The service was great. We had to wait a bit for the order to come out, but it was well worth it. My spouse got the lobster BLT and raved. A rich and fulfilling lunch. I was so satisfied with the sandwich that I saved the chips for later. Any place that serves kettle chips knows what's up. Five stars! read more

Man oh man this place is in a mall with store front seating outside. I mean you can take the food to go but sit take a beat and enjoy the goodness. I got the lobster cheeseburger and fries and LET ME TELL YOU that's the only thing you need to order. My sister and I are still trying to figure out if there is seasoning on the lobster or is the burger seasoned so well the lobster picked up the flavor . Either or we were in heaven. The lobster was cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth you know it's the real thang and no imitation that's why it's 20$ worth the money fr. The burger was good and the friesssss the fries were burger fries they did this whole thing so good ! Only thing I would say is their garlic Parmesan sauce was very salty . #62 review for 2019 (checked-in 24NOV19). Flavor: GET THE WHOLE FISH! With so many restaurants on the island with new ones standing up, I rarely do repeats. My lunch date loves this place (as do I) so we went there for lunch. My favorite dish is the whole fish (roasted pompano fish marinated in basil, cilantro, and citrus; topped with a cilantro, red onions, and celery salad; served with a side of Fat Cheeks rice). The other items on the menu are all delicious but nothing comes close to the roasted whole fish. First off, it is a whole fish - there is something about a whole fish versus a filet that just elevates the dining the experience. It is cooked to order and perfectly - never dry AND seasoned - perfectly. The citrus/vinaigrette toppings complement the flaky, sweet, mild fish. The Fat Cheeks rice stands out on its own - with hints of I think green olives. Ambiance: They have their own counter seating, albeit limited. Clean, bright and inviting. Value: For $12, a bargain! Service: Levina (also baker/partner/proprietor) always has a smile on her face and you instantly feel like family. read more

I eat cheeseburgers everywhere. I've never had one this good. The Lobster Double Cheeseburger was $23 but tasted like $75 burgers I've had. Don't let yourself miss out on this hidden gem. We wanted a special treat for Father's Day and lobster rolls sounded like just the thing. I was able to preorder and pick up on Father's Day and it was the best decision ever! We may need to make it a tradition cause the lobster and shrimp rolls were delicious! This was our first time ordering from here and our 3rd place to try lobster rolls on Oahu and this is our favorite for the taste and price. We will definitely be back when we want another lobster roll! read more
Had to pull the trigger and try the lobster sandwich and yooooooo!!! It was super tasty, filling, and with great texture! Lots of places with lobster sandwiches put too much mayo and not enough lobster but this was perfss! For under 20 bucks - it was an absolute win! If you love butter - you should give this one a try! Trued fat cheeks for the very first time. I honestly never heard of this place until a friend recommended we here before a concert at the blaisedell. They're located at ward, cute seating area outside. Ordered their lobster roll and lobster cheeseburger. I've never had a lobster roll before so I didn't really have anything to compare it to, but it tasted great and was very filling. The lobster cheeseburger was my favorite and it was amazeballs..:i mean who wouldn't love lobster in their cheeseburger? The fried were fried perfectly and well salted. The worker suggested their flight sauces when i ordered, you get to pick 3, they were all good but my favorite was the fat cheeks sauce, goes great with the fries. I dont know why i didn't try the sauces on the lobster roll or the cheeseburger. Definitely want to go back and try other menu items like their cubano sandwich. read more

Tried this place out after hitting the beach and of course it was busy on a Saturday afternoon. First off, great customer service. Hubby got the Lobster Roll and I got the Cubano, side of fries. Can't speak on the Lobster Roll as far as taste but I did like seeing the huge chunks of lobster in it and I liked that there's three options you can get it. As far as the Cubano - PACKED WITH FLAVOR! I love a good Cubano but I have not had one like this. It comes in a 6-inchish loaf that's wrapped in foil then put in the grill. The bread was nice and crunchy which went really well with the creamy sauce in the Cubano. If you love garlic flavor mixed with pickle and pork then try it! The fries could have been a tad crispier, but that's my preference. Love a crunchy outside and mushy inside. We also got the clam chowder and it was also really good. It wasn't too dense but again, had great flavor. read more

Fat Cheeks INCREDIBLE and 100% worth checking out! The fish was light, crispy, and flavorful, and the burger was OUT OF THIS WORLD and one of the best burgers I've ever had- and I've eaten many delicious burgers in my life; the special lobster mayo on it really makes it special and takes it to the next level. I love this place! It has become my "go to" place whenever I am at, or near, Ohana Hale Market Place. So far, I've had the fish a few times, the pork bowl a couple times and the Shawarma chicken bowl. Everything I've had I highly recommend. All menu items I've tried so far have been reasonably priced, ample enough to satisfy, and seasoned to perfection. This is the kind of place you have to keep going back to and try something different each time no matter how hard it is not to not have that wonderful selection you had last time you were there. Try it all. Fat Cheeks won't disappoint. Even the sides are delicious. My favort being the broccoli. If you are one of those folks that don't care for broccoli, try it, you will be converted. Other small touches are that the meals are served in real ceramic bowls or on metal plates with real silverware. No plastic. Another nice touch is everything on the menu is rounded to the nearest dollar amount and includes tax. I love this. Give Fat Cheeks a try. You won't be disappointed. Fat Cheeks is truly deserving of a coveted five star review. read more

This place is bomb . Had the Lobster roll with butter and it was very tasty. The roll it comes in is excellent. I'm not a mayonnaise person so it's nice they had options without Mayo. The Chowder was also very tasty. Expensive but worth it. read more

Love the CHUCK STEAK that comes with the ABUELA RICE!! She makes the steak to order and always asks how I want it done. At only $12 it's a great deal. My other favorite is the GARLIC BROCCOLI which at only $3 is a great deal to any meal. Most of the other sides are $2 and $3. I definitely need to try the whole fish that a lot of the vendors rave about (and order often) but I keep going back to the steak. read more

Amazing little shop where the menu highlights LOBSTER!! There are other food options but this is the reason I come to Fat Cheeks. The prices are a little on the higher side, but for the quality and service it's worth it. The lemon tart for dessert was also very good--perfect amount of citrus after a buttery and savory sandwich. Again, they keep the selections pretty simple and i recommended the LOBSTER BLT--it's amazing. read more

I first heard of this place when they were at the Ohana Hale Marketplace. They have a revamped menu and although I didn't have a main course dish here I couldn't resist not ordering something after discovering their move to the Ward village area. The lemon tart was great the location kinda hidden and they are super friendly. I really must go back to order a lobster roll as those eating on the lanai made it to look so delicious. The tart was tasty not too sweet not too tart. Ps bring back the chocolate chip cookies. read more

I could go on and on and on, on why this place has become my new favorite spot but I'll save you the time and just quickly highlight the very best parts of Fat Cheeks!!! Located in Ohana Marketplace in the back left corner, owners Jared and Lavina are dishing out the most amazing foods. From fresh, house made bread and sweet treats, to the most tender brisket and tangy pickled onions, you literally cannot go wrong. One bite and I swear, you can hear a harp playing and angels singing. The food here IS THAT GOOD. I had the Papas Pig sandwich, my new last meal on earth choice. The pork is soft and full of flavor and the garlic avocado spread needs to be bottled and sold to me by the gallon. I ate the whole sandwich in one sitting and I'm not even ashamed!! Don't forget to order dessert as well! Lavina bakes everything in house, we had the lemon custard tart and I thought one bite was going to be enough for me but I ended up eating the whole thing!!! Sweet crunchy/soft (the best kind of texture!) crust with a generous amount of lemony sweet filling. My mouth is watering just thinking about it...I guess you could say I'm obsessed! BUT the food isn't just what sets this place apart! The owners are probably the most amazing people you will ever meet. Jared and Lavina moved here from New York about a year ago and if you ask them, they'll hilariously give you the whole story. My friends and I probably could have sat at the counter all night just chatting, we seriously had a blast. These two perfectly compliment each other and I can't wait to force them to be my new best friends!!! I can't wait to take literally everyone I know here just so they can fall in love with the food and Jared and Lavina. Absolutely delicious! We ordered three things: lobster BLT, lobster truffle roll, and their burger. Oh and fries! Everything was amazing and melted in your mouth! Service was quick, friendly and it was nice to eat outdoors. We finished off lunch with their lemon tart -- great way to end the experience. Worth the drive to town! read more

On a lunch date with the wife, whom wanted to eat a sandwich she said. She recommends this place called sweet cheeks. Its located in the ward villages. After a few minutes of looking over the menu, I decided on the " Papa's Pig" sandwich. Holy smokes this hit the spot. Juicy cuts of pork with a garlic avocado sauce, queso fresco cheese, and pickled red onions. I got mines on their fresh sesame bread. Be sure to squeeze the fresh lime on your sandwich. I also had some spicy sauce on the side. Only way I can describe this sandwich is that there was a party in my mouth. The cheese and onions complement the pork so well. Great service, reasonable prices, good portions, excellent tasting food. Definitely going back to try everything else on the menu. read more

Wanted that Lobster Roll for the longest and finally got to try it! It was so good - packed with lobster & they didn't add any fillers. The roll was super soft & buttery I also got the Clam Chowder. It was okay, could've had a little bit more flavor. But the chowder itself had the perfect consistency, it wasn't too thick. My friend ordered the Cubano. I couldn't resist the smell so I tried some & omg it was so good! Packed with flavor & tons of garlic. Unfortunately I didn't get a pic. Wait was about 15 min. The staff were super friendly. I would definitely come back for that Cubano! read more
