Great place for BBQ. My favorite is the Salad with Smoked Chicken.

A great experience! We called a week ahead to order food for 70+ for a gathering of family and friends to celebrate mom's 80th birthday. The staff worked with us and helped us make great choices to serve the whole crowd. The smoked pork, served as pulled pork sandwiches, was fantastic. The two sauces, sweet and hot, were both spicy but different enough to warrant their names. Our guests loved the cheesy taters and cole slaw too. We had a few cut up smoked chickens too - every bit as good as the pork! Serving size was LARGE - every comment we heard was positive, everyone loved the food, but we still had leftovers. I personally had two more meals from our order after the party and mom donated quite a bit of great food to the Senior Center. I highly recommend Fat Daddy's to every barbecue lover. They smoke the meats in London, a few miles down the road from west Russellville, but they also sell their great foods from a shop in a gas station near all the hotels at I-40 exit 81 (Arkansas highway 7 south). read more

We tried the ribs. Very juicy tender but were a little freezer burn tasting and didn't have the smoke flavor we Okies are used to. Very meaty and a good price on their Saturday special. Fries were cold but had a seasoning on them, three sauce choices all vinegar based weren't my taste but still good. Baked beans were a bit lacking. I'd probably try a sandwich and different sides when passing through next time. Very easy to find. read more

I like Fat Daddy's. I try to visit them every time I'm in Russellville because it's the best BBQ around town. Now I will say it's no Chuck's (Chuck's in Burbank, Illinois) but they make a mighty good pulled pork sandwich. I also love the atmosphere there. Off the side of the road, attached to a gas station, real locals eating there, kinda has a 'Dukes of Hazzard' feel to it (tv show not movie) just an all around great experience. In fact, I think I saw Cooter gassing his truck up as I walked in. The people are nice and you can fill up before you go in more ways than one! read more

Simple barbeque but nothing special. Prices are a little steep for the atmosphere and portions.

Support privately own restaurants on your highway trips and say no to chain restaurants. That's our motto and we live by it. That's what brought us to this nice BBQ hut just off US Highway 64 on a trip from Tulsa to Memphis. Staff was very pleasant and the food was very good. We had pulled pork plates and the serving size was just enough to fill our tanks for the rest of the trip. Coleslaw and potato salad were really good and the complimentary salad bar meant free pickles and sauerkraut. Until today my favorite BBQ place was at a place I won't mention(don't want the world to know) in Louisiana. My wife and I travel a great deal and are always on the lookout for good BBQ. Fat Daddy's now tops the list. Usually, we are disappointed at over hyped places, but not Fat Daddy's. I had the pulled pork plate with sides of baked beans and coleslaw. The pork was tender and the sides good if not great. My wife had the half chicken and slaw and potato salad. She said the chicken was done just right and not dry as too many places smoke chicken. The potato salad, which we shared, was the best ever. We both highly recommend Fat Daddy's. read more

Stopped thru on our way back to Maryland and glad we did. The best barbecue I have had in a long time. Dry rub was tasty itself and then you add the sweet sauce to it and it exploded in your mouth. Will def stop here again if we are ever in the area again. read more

An excellent example of good pulled pork along with a complimentary slaw and sauce. All the sauces were great, especially the hot one. Even though the beans came out of a can, they were flavored and spiced up right and included plenty of pork chunks. Happy with my meal here. Definitely sufficient in this little town! The fried chicken wings are unique- smoked then fried! Great flavor. Their ranch is wonderful! Their sautéed green beans are just lovely! This place has a great atmosphere, with a good bar. If you're looking for a place to hang out and have a drink it's not bad. The food on the other hand is average at best. No real smoke flavor on the meats but I guess if you put enough barbecue sauce on anything it's better. The sides are right out of the microwave and I'm pretty sure you could get the secret recipe for the "Almost Famous Baked Beans" from the talking dog on the TV commercials. This is not a bad place to eat as long as you don't expect too much. I would like to apologize for this review. Hidden surprise in a gas station building. Atmosphere was great, Delicious food, great value, kids meals had 2 big sliders and a side, and really friendly staff who knew their local customers. A great stop while driving through Arkansas. read more

I would have to say that this is one of the best BBQ joints I've been to. The BBQ is fantastic. The sauces are amazing, with either sweet, spicy, or combined. Also it is right off the interstate, very accessible, just about half a mile. And they always have the TVs set to ESPN. Well worth a stop off if you're heading through the area. read more

Stopped for lunch on the way to Memphis . I had the pulled chicken sandwich and my husband the pulled pork with the mixed sauces. Both we're excellent . The coleslaw is good , not creamy . I would recommend adding it to your sandwich. The staff were all kind and helpful. read more

Stopped by here with a crew from a nearby job site. Was a little thrown by it being attached to a gas station. I should not have worried. It was amazing. We walked in and saw the specials board. Today (6/23/16) the special was a burrito. Odd that right? A burrito at a BBQ place. It was amazing. The lovely young lady at the counter helped me and asked me what I'd like on my burrito. Would I like a cheddar jalapeno wrap (oh hell yeah), what meat would I like (any were available, chicken, brisket, pulled pork, I went pulled pork), would I like tater tots on mine or vegetables (I chose veg.. j/k tots!) I opted for no grilled onions (its a texture thing, and it was MY burrito, get your own onions), and then she said "is it ok if we smother it with spicy cheddar sauce (duh! was the rude response, I said "yes please!" I got some seasoned crinkle fries as my side. She took my name and said I could pay just to the left, I did (they take credit cards, but can't take tips that way, so bring some cash! I didn't have any and felt like a heel). So I pay and sit down. My team orders after me, I had just sat down after filling my drink (oh yeah the combo was drink side and burrito for around $9, great deal). I sat for maybe 1 minute and my food was brought out by a runner, he called my name and my food was there. Time from order to food was less than 5 mins. My crew started sitting down and their arrived in like speed. The food was AWESOME. Filling and so very very good! So if you see Fat Daddy's you pull in there and hope they have the burrito special, or some other crazy BBQ concoction that will make you drool. A delicious lunch stop, easy to find off of interstate 40. The special of the day was sausage and sage stuffed pork loin, wrapped in bacon, hickory smoked and maple glazed. It was wonderful!
