I am VERY picky about my sushi, so I opted not to try any fresh fish from this Mc Donald - Sushi thing. I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki which came with the obvious: miso soup and salad. Everything tasted as I expected it to taste, since this is essentially a fast food sushi joint. The food wasn't spectacular, but it wasn't disappointing either. Sashimi salad tasted really fishy. Roe didn't burst in my mouth. It was rubbery and crunchy. Lettuce was also limp in salad.

The prices here are phenomenal. More importantly it reinforces the age old "you get what you paid for". I got ketchup with my Tonkatsu. A bottle of bull sauce is not that much son. The crawfish salad had a miracle whip quality to it. Again, at these prices you should expect nothing more. I come here pretty often since it is the cheapest sushi place I found. They have many selection of rolls, I always get the spider roll and the super philly. The roll are really big and the price are super reasonable. I tried their sashimi before, it was pretty decent but it isn't your top-notch sashimi but I still love it. Overall, you should try it. I mean what do you expect. Cheap sushi. Inauthentic. Its worth the price because it's cheap. Obviously it's not high quality and that great of a quality but it's still pretty good. If you are worried, just don't order items that come with something raw, make sure it's cooked. I usually order the Lion King Roll, the Tempura Roll, maybe something fried (probably won't anymore bc the rice to filling ratio is like 90% rice, 10% filling). Overall it's a decent place to get a pick me up of sushi. I choose not to eat inside but I can tell how you will literally get no service, which make sense because you order and pay at the register and then you sit down and wait for your order (reminds me of sizzlers). read more

I came and ordered food and someone returned a big Cali I had said please don't give me that one. She said we don't do that here I said ok I was just saying she gave attitude and rolled her eyes and then thought because I was white skinned I didn't speak Spanish that she was going to talk shit in Spanish and keep looking at me talking shit. At first, I wasn't going to write a review because I felt bad for them, but I am just so angry with my meal. The kids bento box was a complete joke. The "chicken" was in small crumbs, not strips. There was more teriyaki sauce than "chicken". I say "chicken" because my family members all agree it tasted like pork. So beware. The miso soup was clear until I mixed it and it turned powdery. The rice noodles in it were soggy and the soup was overwhelmingly salty. The sashimi plate was also a joke. The tuna was clearly frozen because it's exactly like biting into a frozen tube of yogurt, it was icy in the middle and water was flowing out with every bite. The other pale pink fish was just mush with no flavor. The rolls (dragon and rainbow) were pretty ok and hence the one star. Service was also bad as well. When you walk in to order, there is this lazy guy with the curly hair who looks like he would rather do anything else in the world and his attitude was that he didn't even want to be there. It was formerly Ozeki, the remodel looks good, but the sushi rice was the worst sushi rice i have ever ever tasted. The sushi rice at Lucky's Deli counter, tastes better. It was gross tasting. I really wanted to like it, i did, but the cuts of fish on my sushi, were way to thick and the sushi was poorly rolled. Not like I know how or anything, but it just kept falling apart. So maybe I just went on a bad night. Even though the sushi didnt taste that good, i still ate all of it, cuz it was in front of me, and thats what i do. But I was worried i was gonna become deathly ill afterwards, and texted my mama just in case, but thats just me. I've only been there once and maybe it was a one time isolated occurrence but it was a horrible experience. The rolls I ordered were obviously old. The avocado was brown, the fish had a clammy texture and smelled like it was past it's prime. Before you think I'm some picky eater or someone who wears a monocle and a top-hat. I am a person who ate a chicken strip off the floor at Great America without hesitation after being dared by a friend (we didn't know who or where it came from). I really love this place. They have tons of rolls and pictures to go with several of them on their menu in the restaurant. It is a little run down but the food is great. There is usually seating however it does get hot in the summer as I don't think they have A/C. But the prices are definitely reasonable and the sushi tastes good. read more

I love this place! It is my favorite sushi spot that is affordable and good quality sushi with so many options. Ive gone there so many times I even purchased a tshirt so I can get free drinks with my meal which is definately worth it since I go there a lot. Mike the owner is a great guy and the service is definately fast as it gets. My favorite rolls are the lion king, crunchy roll, salmon tuna tempora roll and the list goes on. You really do get what you pay for. Do not walk in with high expectations and you'll be fine. Quantity and price is what you come here for; not quality or service. The rolls are graciously huge, but poorly made. Their rolls will break on you, so expect to have a nice rice plate after you've eaten all the pieces your chopsticks will let you grab. It's cheap but for a reason. I probably wouldn't recommend ordering the raw fish here. The beef udon was a bit disappointing. The beef was super chewy and old. I ended up not eating any of the meat. The bento box was hearty. It came with lots of food. The chicken teriyaki was pretty standard as was the chicken katsu. We dined in but I wish we had just taken it to go.
