I finally got a chance to try this fairly new opened Fat Sal's. This place used to be called Jamba Juice. I walked in around noon and really wanted to try their food. I got myself a Grilled Chicken Cesar Salad & an Impossible burger. Nothing to drink and no fries. They have a lot of options to choose from: Sandwiches, burgers, tater tots, fries, drinks: milkshakes, cold & hot, salads and wraps. Service by Mason was AWESOME! He took my order and the order came out fast & quick. My food was very delicious and fresh. Restaurant was clean, and it is not a big place. Interior was pretty dope, colorful, and upbeat. They were playing great music overhead and I would definitely return to try other options from their extensive menu. Sandwiches were HUGE!! Saw 2 people eating and wanted to take a bite:-) they said no. Underground validated parking for 90 minutes free. Located where California Pizza Kitchen and Green Apple Chinese Restaurants are.

I have yet to go to Fat Sal's for their regular menu. I have only gone for their collaborations. I loved the Coming to America collab when they turned into Mc Dowels. The food was amazing! This time we went for the Rickmas collab. Honestly the smash burger with pickles, fried pickles and pickled flavored ketchup was perfect. The Fat Rickmas was packed with flavor and their Fat Cookie was mind blowing. My only issue is that their Philly Cheesesteak fries weren't tossed with cheese. Once you got past the top layer they were just fries. We will be back because I want tha Fat Bahn Mi!

First off the cashier was very knowledgeable of all the menu items. He asked our likes and dislikes and we then went with our choices: Hot Chick, Grilled Chicken Caesar Wrap, Fat Smash, and Fat Bodega. All the food was delicious and the portion is big enough to share one sandwich with two people. All the sandwiches tasted fresh and hot off the grill which I love because no one likes eating cold food. The shake is thick and is delicious with just the right amount of sweetness. The dining area was clean and they played current music. Overall Fat Sals was a great experience and I can't wait to come back!

Trying Fat Sal's for the time. I ordered the Bodacious Beef Dip (thinly sliced ribeye steak, melted provolone, truffled onions & mushrooms, horseradish aioli, with a side of gravy). All the flavors are delicious and worked well together. The gravy is a bit of a disappointment, and does not compliment the sandwich. It reminded me of Heinz beef gravy, from a jar. It might be different if they served it with Au jus. I also ordered the Italiano (Ham, salami, pepperoni, provolone, sweet and hot peppers). This was not quite as big and tasty as I was expecting. I love a really good Italian (cold-cut) combo, and the nice guy behind the counter insisted that this was the celebrated cold sandwich on the menu. While it was good, it was not as loaded and hearty as I've had at many other locations. Next time back, I will get the Beef Dip again, but I will pass on the Italiano. Fat Sal's is also known for their shakes and loaded fries. I prefer sandwiches, so that will be my focus, moving forward. Overall, the service is very friendly and helpful, and the late night hours (1:30am) makes Fat Sal's an ideal spot.

03/09/2025 Soft Opening for friends and family. I got to meet Sal himself and he told me about a few of the signature sandwiches. Drinks are included in the famous signature sandwiches as I ordered the Banh Mi sandwich. Seasoned fries are definitely a tall order too. Comes with a few packets of ketchup. I like BBQ so I asked for BBQ sauce as someone asked me how is everything. It's a small place packed with a lot of people tonight. Lots of friends & family here to support Sal. I think I saw a few celebrities, not big names but I do recognize them.

I first discovered Fat Sal's years ago when I drove past their Encino location and later noticed they had opened at Topanga Social. I always intended to try them, but when I heard they were opening in Studio City, I knew it was finally time! Fat Sal's prides itself on delivering "an experience you'll want to be a part of"--as their website puts it. They're known for guilty pleasure sandwiches and sides, but they also offer salads and wraps (for those looking to balance things out). Co-founder Sal Capek describes their menu as "unique and exciting combinations and flavor profiles that result in mouthwatering, over-the-top culinary creations." Since I'm picky about sandwiches and burgers, I was happy to see that any hero (aka sandwich) can be made as a whole wheat wrap or on a bed of lettuce. I went for the Honey BBQ Chicken Hero as a wrap, which came loaded with grilled marinated chicken breast, grilled onions, and honey BBQ sauce--plus, I added avocado. But let's talk about the Fat Shakes. These spoon-in shakes are next level--I couldn't resist and tired two different shakes: #2 Shake: Coffee ice cream, shaved dark chocolate, and smashed pretzels. Like a specialty Frappe. #6 Vegan Shake: Vanilla cashew milk "ice cream," peanut butter, Oreos, "whipped cream," and chocolate syrup. I added Marshmallow Fluff to it also. Service was great and while it is a smaller location than most and can be a little difficult to find seating, they do have some outside or you can do takeaway. Parking Tip: Park in residential on the other side of the street or in one of the lots off of Ventura Blvd.

I had always wanted to try Fat Sal's, and finally had the chance to get a group of friends to dine in. Food portion was enormous for the price we paid. We had our sandwiches cut into pieces to we can share and try out other entrees. Everything we ordered was pretty tasty, and beyond my expectations. I love how there are fries in my sandwich. Fat Sal- Ribeye was thinly sliced, mozorella cheese was delicious and paired well with the garlic sauce. Fat Texas- I can taste the pastrami, I liked this better than the Fat Sal's actually, it tasted more bold than Fat Sal's. Bacon Cheeseburger Fries- Wow, if I ate this first , I wouldnt have ordered the sandwich. This was a full meal, and super delicious. Chili Cheese Fries- The chili cheese fries was phenomenal. West Coast Burger- This west coast burger was interesting, it's not an ordinary burger, this burger sets the bar above any other burgers. After dining at Fat Sal's, I need to just walk home to kill the calories but well worth every calorie.

If you're hungry and bold enough to handle the craziest, most over-the-top sandwiches in L.A., Fat Sal's is the place to be. The portions are massive, the flavors are wild, and every bite is worth the calories. Whether you're grabbing a Fat Texas, Fat Jerry, or one of their loaded fries, you're in for a serious food adventure. The staff is chill, the vibe is loud and fun, and it's open late -- perfect for post-work, post-party, or straight-up cheat day cravings. They don't just make sandwiches; they make experiences. You haven't truly lived until you've tried stuffing mozzarella sticks, chicken fingers, and fries into a hero roll and calling it dinner. Trust me -- Fat Sal's delivers on its name and its hype.

Second time here, got the Fat Cug sandwich and it was exactly what I was craving without even knowing it! The combo of mozzarella sticks, truffle fries, and that delicious vodka sauce was perfection -- plus the crispy tater tots on the side hit the spot. My friend got their butter chicken cheesesteak collab and it was super creamy, flavorful, and cheesy. Cool, laid-back vibe, very clean, and excellent customer service. Can't wait to come back!

Ordered the Italian cold cuts sub for which I had a strong craving tonight. The ingredients were so paltry that all one really tasted was tomatoes and vinaigrette. Two pics below show how they show it and what I ended up with.

We had a nice server, Daniel, who was very attentive and helpful. My sister ordered cheese blintzes and they were served cold in the middle. Daniel took them back and when they reappeared at the table they were hot enough but not piping hot. Sister said they were very good. But two not very large blintzes for about $16, is kind of high. Friend had a Rueben which she said was delish. She also ordered a container of matzah ball soup and the matzoh ball was huge! I ordered a hot corned beef on rye and it was indeed very good. Large enough that half was enough for dinner and the other half was another meal on the next day. I also ordered onion rings. Very good! My dining companions enjoyed some of them too and there were still a few left to take home with my sandwich! I had a few of my friend's steak fries, they were good also. The prices are high here. Guess you have to go with the flow in a world-famous place! There is a small bakery counter near the front door. We bought two danishes to take home. Order online and have some jump out of the car to pick up your order. There is no seating inside but maybe a chair or two outside. The neighborhood is a little rough around the edges so you may want to get that food to go. We tried three sandwiches and they were all huge. The crispy chicken caesar wrap is phenomenal and I am not one who usually orders this particular sandwich anywhere. It comes with a creamy sauce that I might have drank directly from the little cup. The wrap is packed full of chicken and it is refreshing and excellent. It doesn't look huge but trust me, the wrap is packed full and you will be plenty satisfied. The Antonia sandwich comes with turkey, cheese, avocado, tomato, and garlic aioli. It isn't all that unique a creation but for what it is, it is very fresh and very good. It came loaded with delicious turkey. The Martha sandwich (chicken salad, apples, fennel, argula, herbs, etc.) is on special right now. Personally, I am not a big chicken salad guy but you get a lot of it and the person in our party who ordered it liked it a lot. We also tried the arancini and they were excellent. Keep in mind they are closed on Monday and Tuesday. While you can order online, I'll always choose to go inside so I can browse everything they have to offer. Their selection of fresh pasta salads is fantastic, and the desserts are always tempting. Be sure to check out the wine section in the back left of the market. It's extensive and absolutely incredible! This is the kind of place that keeps people coming back year after year, and it's easy to see why. Being Italian American and growing up with an Italian mother who loved feeding everyone, this was one of our favorite places to visit together. Those memories make every trip here even more special. My personal favorite is the Godmother sandwich--hands down one of the best you'll ever have. It's packed with flavor, made with quality ingredients, and it's the sandwich I find myself craving every time I come back. One of the things I love most about this place is the atmosphere. It has an energy that immediately makes you think of family. Everyone is genuinely kind, welcoming, and happy to help, making you feel right at home the moment you walk through the door. It has that warm, old-school Italian family vibe that's becoming harder and harder to find, and it's a big part of what makes this place so special.
