Four fitty a slice with custom toppings. Not every topping is 50 cents - meat is a dollar. So my slice was $8 actually. But it's basically a personal pizza itself. I thought the crust was the perfect amount of crunchy/soft and had a good flavor. Also pretty expensive. I would skip the garlic knots next time, dry and not much flavor. Fat Tomato is my go to place for slices of pizza. I also love Abbott's Pizza on Abbot Kinney for slices. I used to go to Johnnie's but I feel the quality has gone down, and Pizzarito in Marina is too inconsistent. Needless to say - I am so glad Fat Tomato opened up nearby. You have to spend at least $5 to use a credit card but no biggie you want to get 2 slices anyway. I don't like that when they sell by the slice they add the toppings to the existing cheese pizza. It works for pepperoni but I wouldn't order any other kind by the slice other than plain cheese or pep. I ordered a whole pizza the other night and it was completely diff from ordering by the slice. Pizza and crust was overall thicker which I am not a fan of. When you buy by the slice they are very thing, like NY style slice thin. This Fat Tomato Pizza is located in a small strip mall on Washington Blvd. Parking can be a bear at times but you will find a spot and there is always street parking. Right now, that matters not because you have to either drive up and pick up your pizza or have it delivered. They have the nicest service, be it on the phone or when we pick up. Because of Covid there is no seat down yet, but there will be. They have all sorts of vegan and gluten free options--have I tried them, heck no, but they sound good. I love their penne pasta and salad with fresh tomatoes all over it. The dressing is also great. They have good sandwiches and you can get a vegan sandwich if you want. They have something for everyone. I love their pizza, all of their pizzas. You will like this place too. I would love to give 5 stars but a little pricey for what you are getting. I love this place. I have been there 3 times The menu is very easy to navigate. All you have to do is walk in and use their system to place your order and pay and they will bring your order to you. This 4 cheese pizza cost $25 and was one of the worst pizzas I have ever eaten. It was burnt and dryyyy. There was no flavor except for barely the goat cheese. Boyfriend and I ordered a large cheese pie (yes, the NuYawker/Jersey girl in me still calls it a "pie") with fresh mushrooms, garlic and extra tomato. I always order the same but usually in a slice which works out well. The last time I order an entire pie and asked for olive on half, No mushrooms as I'm very allergic. The pie was black and quite slimey on "my half". Whe. My throat started itching I knew there were shrooms hidden in the giant pile of olives. Which really grossed me out since is worked at a pizza shop for years as a teen. So I know what happens. The salad had super chunky Silvester of red onion- idk WHO likes that but I vote no one. It should be finely sliced or diced. No one wants think chunks of red O in their salad. Otherwise it was ok- the greens are nice, tomato mealy, dressing lacked salt. Croutons or a bonus knot or two would've been nice but they seem like a store that's hanging on. Perhaps if they stepped up the good game. Wings were very tough and fatty- skin was greasy, thick, rubbery and non edible for this white girl. I really want this locally Asian owned pizza shop to survive but they've really got to step up their game to keep me and get referrals from my salon. Their sauce is epic- yet stingy.
