    BBQ Chicken Pizza

To be completely honest I was surprised by their prices but I thought maybe I'll give them a try. Service was fast but that's all that was good. The pizza tastes like frozen pizza and I'm very disappointed. Garlic knots were very hard and unenjoyable. Tried to give a new place a shot and I'm just disappointed :/

Great quality of food. Pizza was cheesy and just right temperature. It was quick and easy to order, with no trouble. Employees were nice and very understanding

My first time trying Fat Tomato and definitely my last. I ordered a Medium Cheese Pizza and it was one Sloppy, greasy mess! See pics. First off it was over cooked and super greasy with tons of fLop. This is what I would call Drunk Pizza! If you've had a few cocktails and it's late night this would be just ok. With the PIzza game getting really strong in LA this is unacceptable. I can think of 20 Pizzerias much better on the West Side. Rating 4.1 out of 10.

The pizza is delicious, though a bit on the expensive side, with large ones costing around $30. However, it's well-cooked and neatly presented.

    You can order via kiosk!

Was waiting to go into an event near by and decided to pop in for a snack. A cute place for pizza and related snacks/appetizers! Is quite small but there weren't too many people in the late afternoon. You can order via kiosk if the employee is busy. I ordered meatballs with marinara sauce and the kind employee told me it'd take less than 10 minutes. He was so friendly and helpful! I did indeed get my meatballs very quickly. I bit into the first one and it was delicious!! A bit dry but easily fixed by dipping it in more sauce. However, the second one had a frozen core.

Slice of cheese 43.50, slice of pep $4 - big slices and very tasty

Fat Tomato is my go to place for slices of pizza. I also love Abbott's Pizza on Abbot Kinney for slices. I used to go to Johnnie's but I feel the quality has gone down, and Pizzarito in Marina is too inconsistent. Needless to say - I am so glad Fat Tomato opened up nearby. You have to spend at least $5 to use a credit card but no biggie you want to get 2 slices anyway. I don't like that when they sell by the slice they add the toppings to the existing cheese pizza. It works for pepperoni but I wouldn't order any other kind by the slice other than plain cheese or pep. I ordered a whole pizza the other night and it was completely diff from ordering by the slice. Pizza and crust was overall thicker which I am not a fan of. When you buy by the slice they are very thing, like NY style slice thin. I also would not recommend the garlic knots, they tasted like nothing and the marinara sauce was literally watery, I won't be ordering whole pizzas from here anymore but I will be coming again and again for my slices for lunch!

Ordered for the first time, the dough and crust on their pizza is bland and flavorless. The pizza arrived over cooked and borderline burnt. Very forgetful experience.

BBQ Chicken Pizza burned AND dried AF

Very first time ordering here and my very last time. The pizza was $26 and tiny, but worst of all, it was very burned and dry. It was like I was eating dried up leather. I only had two slices before I couldn't take it anymore. It was such a waste of my money. See the attached picture she judge for yourself. And it was made worse for me because I had a really bad day at work as I was hoping to unwind with some delicious pizza, but this pizza was straight from hell and ruined my night too. Had to have toast for dinner. Thanks, Fat Tomato.

This Fat Tomato Pizza is located in a small strip mall on Washington Blvd. Parking can be a bear at times but you will find a spot and there is always street parking. Right now, that matters not because you have to either drive up and pick up your pizza or have it delivered. They have the nicest service, be it on the phone or when we pick up. Because of Covid there is no seat down yet, but there will be. They have all sorts of vegan and gluten free options--have I tried them, heck no, but they sound good. I love their penne pasta and salad with fresh tomatoes all over it. The dressing is also great. They have good sandwiches and you can get a vegan sandwich if you want. They have something for everyone. I love their pizza, all of their pizzas. You will like this place too. I would love to give 5 stars but a little pricey for what you are getting. Super good though.

    Yummy!!

The pizza was good. The garlic knots were cool. I think it's over priced though. The guy working the register wasn't friendly.

I had a Flashback Friday moment when I drove by this location. My brain quickly got nostalgic with fond images and feel-good vibes and I knew I had to stop by. My mom brought me to Pioneer Chicken when I was a child and I remember how crispy the chicken used to be. Sometimes, leftovers made it into my lunchbox. She knew how to win my heart through my belly even back then. I haven't had Pioneer Chicken since the early 90s, and I was pleasantly surprised when I dug my teeth into the drumstick. It was super crisp -- exactly how I remembered it. And the iconic orange batter was the same yummy recipe, possibly crispier than KFC's. The biscuit was my next favorite and I don't remember it being THIS good with its hint of honey flavor. The mashed potatoes and gravy have not changed, but the coleslaw was a tad different. It used to be chopped into mini squares. Now it's shredded cabbage, but it has the same light mayo flavor. Also, I love that they use less plastic Their side item containers are made of paper, both top and bottom, which also adds to the retro vibe. Loved looking at the old school photos on the wall that date back to the 1960s with Pioneer Pete, The Flintstones, and Muhammad Ali, aka the OG "G.O.A.T". It was cool to learn that Jessica, who took my order at the register, was part of a bigger franchise history. Her dad owned this location, and passed it on to his son. Family-owned for the last 38 years, this location is one of the originals. And one of the last two still standing. The nostalgia of this place will always have a special place in my heart. I'll have to come back for their fish & chips and maybe even try the gizzards on my next trip down here.

I stuck with getting the mild sando, and didn't expect the chicken breast so gigantic! It was a delicious sandwich and the spice was pretty good. I'm glad I didn't go any spicier than that. I ordered the fries which were actually pretty good. They were definitely seasoned, but they weren't heavily in taste sense. They had something for me to drink and it went really well with a meal actually. I'm glad that I could say that I enjoyed this place from beginning to end.
