I'm gonna go out on a limb that pitfire pizza is EXCELLENT! I haven't been here for many years and a friend of mine wanted to come here so we did. The sausage party pizza had good toppings, top quality and definitely the price is gone up, but I still think it's a fair value. The Caesar salad was outstanding as well. The only thing I wish they did differently was come back and check if your Table needs anything after they deliver the food. That's one of the reasons I'm always hesitant to leave my tip at the cash register when I order because you don't know how the real service is going to be. Not that it was bad, but we had to flag the guy down to get any attention. They would be doing a much better service to themselves if they just came back once or twice to see how everything's going or if we needed anything! Found my new go to when I'm in the area!!! We did a take out order and just being there in person i think we need to eat in person for the vibes It's spacious! Plenty of seating and they have a parking lot and more street parking. Staff were on it fulfilling take out orders and also orders of people dining in. I love the variety of their menu and was happy with the pasta i chose! I added chicken to it and it was the shredded type, i wish it was grilled but whatever it was still good. The Sausage Party Pizza had some kind of balsamic glaze that I thought was on the sweet side, but overall the pizza was still very good. Maybe you could tell them to leave it out if you don't want your pizza too sweet. The crust is thin to medium size. The cavatappi was rich and buttery with big hunks of chicken and mushroom. They have vegan/vegetarian options for pizza, pasta, and sides, if you're not a meateater. The interiors are spacious and industrial/modern with lively music. They still have the alien graffiti art by Daniel Johnston. I've seen that alien for at least 15 years on their wall since I've been coming to Pitfire Artisan Pizza in Culver City since 2010. It's comforting to see it again after so many years. They have long tables for big groups. Service was good and prompt. Give it a try! You won't be disappointed. read more

Service here was great - friendly, prompt, and attentive but not overly so. Food came out fast and they refilled our fountain drinks without us having to ask. We ordered the buffalo wings and Zoe's pepperoni pizza. The server staged it nicely, wings first and pizza a bit after. The wings were decent, boneless but still with dark meat. The sauce flavor was good but the meat was a little stringy, and some were clumped together making the size of wings pretty uneven and cooked differently. Blue cheese was solid. The pizza didn't much flavor and under seasoned. First bite I took yanked the cheese off, I think they use mozzarella balls and the distribution was uneven, and it was a little coagulated. The bottom of pizza was dusty which is not my fave. To sum up, service was great with fun and friendly vibes - but the food was lackluster. If I came here again, would order one of the pizzas with more toppings to give it more flavor. read more

One of our favorite go-to spots as a family -- great food, always-friendly service, chill vibe. The kids love the pizza, varieties of pasta, and wikki sticks; we love the chopped and steak salads, and can never pass up the boneless chicken wings. Great selection of beers on tap, too. We visited as a large group with several school-age children. The restaurant was standing-room only, and we were seated near the cash register where servers were constantly coming and going. Instead of helping us find a more suitable spot that would keep our group, especially the kids, out of the way, staff members were rude on multiple occasions. At one point, a server referred to our children as "animals," assuming we couldn't hear him. When I addressed the comment, he responded, "Sorry, I was talking to myself," which did not feel like a sincere apology. A family-oriented pizza restaurant should be better prepared to accommodate families in a positive and professional manner. Creating a supportive environment benefits everyone: staff can do their jobs without frustration, and children aren't made to feel unwelcome. read more

I see other reviews mentioning and showing pics of horrible experiences and that's tragic to see.. I guess everyone has an off day but I've only had good things to say here. We have been patronizing Pitfire for years and normally very much enjoy their food, but this past Saturday was a terrible experience. We ordered delivery of two pizzas to arrive around 6:25PM. They arrived around 6:55, and were basically inedible, with limp crust and ice cold. We paid $55 and couldn't have been less satisfied. I understand Saturday night is probably their busiest time so in the future we will avoid delivery (and the premium price), and either pick up or order elsewhere. read more

I had to wait 45 minutes for my order, and during that time, the staff member who was handling takeout orders spoke to me very rudely. His attitude was disrespectful and unpleasant -- not only toward me but also toward other customers waiting for their orders.
