Decided to throw in an order of mozzarella sticks because the pizza was so inexpensive. Upon arrival I was shocked to see their mozzarella sticks were more expensive than the large pizza. Got home to cold mozz sticks with hard cheese inside, and very odd tasting pepperoni pizza, my kid and I could not eat it it tasted horrible. So I wasted $25 dollars on absolute trash. I went today after 4pm specifically for the discounted slices. The only person working there had no idea about the discount. I showed her the website on my phone and she said it wasn't your site, even though the address matched. I ended up paying the full price. I may never go back. I tried emailing at info@wallst.pizza and it bounced back. I called to ask for a working email address and the woman who answered didn't know what it was. If I get a response from management, I may delete this negative review. Also one more note: Earlier today the website said slices were normally $5 but were discounted to $3.50 during happy hour. Now it says slices are normally $6.50 and discounted to $5.50! Very strange that the prices changed today after I visited the restaurant. I would not have been interested in the discount if the price had been $5.50. And I still had the old prices loaded on my phone and I've attached a screenshot.

It's consistently delicious, and you can tell it's made with care. Today, though, I finally ordered something different. I'd been craving a meatball sub for months but could never decide where to get one. Then it hit me... of course Pizzarito would have one. It did not disappoint. The best part of our visit, though, was getting to chat with Al, the owner. He's been serving this community for 42 years, and after meeting him, it's easy to understand why people keep coming back. He made us feel like family from the moment we walked in. At one point he smiled and said, "I'm just an Italian boy from Brooklyn," and it instantly made the whole interaction feel even more genuine and wholesome. It especially warmed my heart because my dad always said he was "just an Italian boy from Chicago." It was one of those little moments that sticks with you. In a world where so many local gems disappear, I'm so grateful Pizzarito is still here. Thank you, Al, for pouring your heart into this place for over four decades, for feeding the community, and for making people feel so welcome. We'll keep coming back, and I hope Pizzarito stays a neighborhood staple for many years to come.

I ended up getting a small personal pizza with sausage, black olives, and tomato on top. I must say, the pizza remained warm even after a 45 minute drive home! The pizza tasted very fresh, and had a perfect crust. I also decided to try the Turkey sandwich with everything on it. I saved the sandwich to eat the next day on lunch break, and the sandwich did not disappoint. Packed with flavor on a perfect bread bun. I loved that there was some spice to the sandwich. Amazing. Oh I cannot forget the fries. I was recommended by a friend to try the fries because I was told the fries are amazing, I did like the fries however I do prefer my fries to be a bit more crunchy. Note: Market Pizza is located in a back patio surrounded by Jackson Place (apartments for rent) and Jackson Market (historic neighborhood cafe and deli). Follow map directions - you'll second guess yourself at first if you park on the main street because Market Pizza and Jackson Market are part of the neighborhood itself and are not surrounded by your typical commercial businesses. It's a soothing environment for brunch with draping vegetation and cute furniture. Beware of flies during daytime. The store itself only had two people working (one person mostly taking orders and one person mostly cooking) so it took a while to make the pizza because the wood fired oven isn't necessarily humongous and there were several people who had ordered before us. No buzzer so if you decide to wander around or if your table is out of earshot, you'll have to check in as they verbally call orders. I had no idea when my order was coming up but they were friendly about me checking in whenever I walked up.

The only reason this interaction peeves me slightly is that I'm 8.5 months pregnant and visibly showing. I get that they only want customers to have access to the bathroom. That's a pretty standard rule across the board. But even if I hadn't bought something yet, would it really hurt this establishment that much to let a heavily pregnant person use the bathroom once?
