Not great customer service from the manager. They messed up my postmates delivery and forgot the milkshake (his excuse was "well, it was at the bottom of the list".....). His response was to have me deal with getting my money back through Postmates so he didn't have to deal with it. Luckily I had a bomb ass driver who offered to go back and get it for me. When he did, my shake had been sitting out for about an hour and the driver had to fight to get them to pour me a new one, but my bomb ass Postmates driver got the manager to do a new shake for me. read more

Generally this place has been pretty consistent over the years. I love their Turkey burgers and my husband likes their fat burgers. Today I went a different route and tried the crispy chicken sandwich and I ordered it online directly through Fatburger's website. Online I selected "no tomato" and wrote a separate note to add pickles. I picked up my order which was ready right on time and got home to find the only thing on the chicken sandwich were tomatoes and pickles. So yay they added pickles but booo why the tomatoes? Also where was the lettuce? The Mayo? It was this weird dry chicken sandwich I had to peel the tomatoes off of and scrape the seeds off the bread which they made soggy which was not ideal and had to add my own Mayo from my frig to the bread to make it even edible. Then I look at the ticket that is printed on the restaurant end that is stapled to my to-go bag - on THEIR end, their system printed up "crispy chicken sandwich white bun tomato" - so instead of NO tomato- which btw was confirmed it says no tomato even in my email confirmation- their ticket printout shows it as that is the only ingredient I wanted. What is this was about a food allergy? They need to fix their online system to how it translates to tickets in restaurant because I am guessing a LOT of online orders get royally F'ed up because the system was not set up properly. Management- please do your employees and customers a favor and fix that. It sucks that the blame will go to your employees when customers are upset their requests aren't just wrong, but literally the OPPOSITE of what was requested and this is on you to fix. Or go over how the tickets actually print out since it's murky and unclear for the employees and nonsensical/opposite of what is actually selected when ordering online. Whoever designed the system let you down but this can and should be fixed. read more

Tonight, my wife and, I were craving burgers, so I placed an order through UBER EATS. I had the Triple X L, and my wife had the 1\3 lb Original Fatburger. Both were ordered with Fat Fries. As we started eating, we both noticed copious amounts of sauce oozing out of the burgers. We each had bone fragments in our meat patties, as well. I'm sorry but, that's unacceptable! If you want a real burger, especially if it's late at night, then you should check this place out! You should get the Fatburger on the char with cheese and chili! You can also customize the burger and add other things like onions, lettuce, tomato, etc. So good! The meat is nicely charred. And the melted cheese with the chili just adds another layer of deliciousness! I like how you can get skinny or fat fries. Both are pretty good. Just depends on what you feel like. The skinny fries are a little crispier and crunchier. The fat fries are a little mushy on the inside, but still nicely fried on the outside. FYI, the tables aren't always clean. Might be sticky and dirty. They also have some stools out front. Plenty of parking in the lot in the back. read more

This spot was interesting because it was open at 3-4am. After a night of drinking, even the alcohol couldn't make this food taste any better. Maybe it's my experience in cooking behind a fast food grill that's left me jaded and unable to eat beef at fast food places or just the fact that I have had great beef patties and can't compliment something that doesn't deserve one. In any case. It isn't the worst burger nor the best. It reminded me of a Texas Whataburger in which it's really big. You're able to add a fried egg to your burger as well as avocado and bacon. Honestly 4-star food 3-star prices. Mix that with the patrons that usually frequent this place and it gets you a 3 1/2. But what redeems this place, is how gutter it is. The location and staff match the fatburger theme, unapologetically indulgent. It's like your favorite dive, you go there because you know it's time to party. If you're at fat burger, it's time to eat. Mix that in with a working class area, with blue collar patrons and you get FATBURGER (sherman oaks). The food always tastes fresh and hot. Now if they could just come down on their prices, we would have the last GREAT HAMBURGER stand. Bottomline: I love having choices on style of french fries. I don't know if it was the intoxication of the alcohol at night or the burgers (I'll go with the latter), but this tasted quite good. I didn't find out until after I received my food, but there is a menu of additional toppings you can add to your burger. What I loved so much about the food was not feeling so disgusting the next morning and that speaks to the quality of the meat. Also tried the fat fries which were good, a little too fat for me as I enjoy the crunchiness. The service was alright, nothing bad or exceptional about it. Tasty, tasty, tasty. What do you do when you need to eat at 1:30 am, well you head to Fatburger's of course. Judging by how packed this place was, we weren't the only ones with that idea. We ordered 2 large fatburgers with cheddar cheese, no relish, add bacon and no bun. The lady working the cash register was super friendly and personally brought our food out when it was ready. Great service! Delicious food, fast! Ample parking! Bf and I each ordered a fatburger (which is a medium burger) with everything- one with pepper jack cheese and one with cheddar. They were cooked really well- nice, juicy, and a little pink: perfect! We got fat fries (like traditional steak fries) and onion rings which came with a ranch dipping sauce. The coca-cola freestyle machine was the cherry on the cake! The man (Paul) who took our order also brought us our food, then some ketchup, and made sure all the tables were nice and clean. Living in Los Angeles, you have a plethora of burger options. Between your big evil chains and the mom and pop restaurants here and there, you have the local franchises which I believe offer the best fast food burger. I think it's unanimous that In-N-Out takes the crown but what about the rest? Well, that's really how you would describe what's left: the rest. Fatburger is one of those places that falls off the mark. I won't say it's bad. It's actually pretty good. However, there's one word to summarize my experience here and it's "bland." I will give credit though. Fatburger aims to be an authentic burger stand and in many ways it achieves it no matter how many times the word verisimilitude comes to mind. They've got a jukebox and a nice counter reminiscent of something out of Happy Days or American Graffiti. The menu is simple and sticks to classic burger stand fare. If my reviews were simply based on aesthetics they'd get 4 or 5 stars but there's more to it than that. The food is a real let down, especially after having it hyped to me all my life. The burgers are bigger than In-N-Out and surprisingly juicier. Unfortunately, the times I've went I've noticed a bit of pink. I like my burgers a little medium rare but from a fast food place, it troubled me slightly. Thankfully nothing bad happened to me and it hasn't stopped me from going there yet. While the portions may be bigger, they just lack taste evident in other burgers. What they lack in taste though, they make up in options. Sure it's like putting macaroni on a crappy picture frame but still, I appreciate having the choices. They make the burgers anyway you want (sound familiar?). If you want a fried egg, they can do it. Don't like pickles but want bacon? You got it. There are plenty of options to make that bland burger less bland. The kicker that sets apart Fatburger from In-N-Out is the chili. Sadly, that too can be described as bland but there are just days when you want a chili cheese burger and a double double just can't compete with that. I guess when you're drunk with um...fun after a night of drinking...fun drinks, a chili cheese burger just hits the spot. You can also get that chili on their skinny or steak fries. Again, nothing really special here. I believe they're fresh cut but they could be frozen. It's the one thing I'll the clear edge over In-N-Out. Overall, Fatburger isn't bad and it's probably the most filling meal one can get from a fast food place. It's just another restaurant that falls into the category of having so many better options than it. However, if that's all that's open or it's whatever nearby definitely give it a go. It's a great place to go late at night with some friends. If you're sober enough, you can call ahead or order online. It's worth it since the wait can be kinda long, especially if it's busy. read more

GREAT BURGER. 'Nuff said. When I visit LA I always stop here because they have truly savory burgers--and a nice staff, too. They make it easy to order and customize, with a menu that shows you the various options and you can just go down the list and choose what you want, or not. They do such a great job grilling the meat, getting it nice and carmelized, that, truly, it's one of the best burgers you can get and only costs around $5.50. Now, I still love me some in-n-out, that's my go-to place for an excellent slow/fast $2.50 burger, but Fatburgers are bigger, fattier (in a totally good way), and have distinctive condiments such as their relish, that make them taste very high-end. Like in-n-out, it's not fast fast food, they make it when you order it and it can take a few minutes but it's well worth the wait to get it fresh and hot. Their fries are excellent, either steak-cut or skinny fries. They even have onion rings. And their shakes are so thick and rich you could stop here and just have one for dessert (heck, for a whole meal). And, they're open till 2am on weekdays, and 3am on friday/saturday. Woo Hoo! Driven to the bowels of Yelp to write my first review like some kind of entitled millennial that expects to be rewarded for having an opinion about something. Well, you can thank the Captain of the U.S.S. Doing Stuff and her incredibly incompetent crew running this fine garbage establishment where you can expect your burger delivered with a side of mistakes and an extra large attitude when you call them out on it. 1-star for the service. I'd review the food if the correct order had been delivered. But I'm getting ahead of myself. Let's start at the beginning... INT. FATBURGER, SHERMAN OAKS - ABOUT AN HOUR AGO CAPTAIN OF THE U.S.S. DOING STUFF (female, highest ranking employee currently at establishment) stops throwing ice cubes at the sun temporarily as she receives an Uber Eats order from me for TWO BURGER MEALS: (1) Large Fatburger, customized, grilled onions, bbq sauce, cheese, bacon and (2) Large Fatburger, tomato, grilled onions, cheese, bacon, grilled mushrooms. Honestly, I am being generous with a 3-Star Rating. However, I hope to be fair in my description - I know that this location has had much better times and success with curb appeal, service and food; but as much as before. However, the service was friendly... and that is a solid plus. After a long trip back from Mt. High, my wife and I decided to head to Fatburger in the Valley for a late night snack; an hour and a half in traffic; this was suppose to be worth the long trip back... but sadly, not exactly. A late night walk in and a line of customers; OK, no one is arguing of complaining, fine. But nearly 25 minutes later our food arrived; burgers somewhat cold and fries starting to limp. But, what the heck; its a Large Fatburger and I am hungry. The atmosphere is somber & relatively quiet; no music playing; juke box is out of service, and all I can hear and listen to is just the light chit-chat of others sitting & standing inside patiently patiently waiting for their food. The walls & ceiling are old and in need of some TLC from at least two decades of neglect; the only thing new are photos of people who managed to down a XXXL Fatburger, and a young guy who apparently age a 16 patty Fatburger, then presumably had either a severely clogged colon and or died and when to heaven. By the way, I have been coming here off-and-on since 1993... not much change since then. $11-something for a Large Fat-combo, and they have the unmitigated Gall to charge me an EXTRA $1 for a single slice of Cheese?! Oh! ...the Humanity!! In fact, $2 for our two burgers; that is just criminal. Seriously... now I know where they are making their money, and not a penny of it spend on any decent ranch dressing. The 'Ranch' dressing was free; thankfully, but sadly tasted horribly bad and unusable. I'd rather pay the $1 for good ranch that get free 'Ranch' substitute... I am not a tightwad, but maybe I will bring my own Cheese & Ranch dressing next time. Well, this is where all good things must somehow or finally come to an end; an era of good food that is being beaten to death by several factors, including a lackluster enthusiasm from old customers remaining regular customers. My only advice; clean up the joint, don't skimp on the details, and speed up the process a tiny bit. If I am going to pay $13 for a Large Fat-combo, I expect perfection in all it's glory... from the decor, music, wait time, on down to the cheese and ranch dressing... commit to excellence by giving your customers the absolute best in Customer Service that in return earns complete Customer Satisfaction down to the Last bite, and makes them salivate for more. read more

Love Fatburger! They really know how to bring out the flavor with giant portions, mustard and pickles (my favorites). I just wish that this location had better seating inside. The patio seating is great cause you're right on the blvd. I ordered a giant double cheeseburger which was great but it fell apart due to it's hulking mass. They need to invent a way to keep a cheeseburger from breaking apart so food sluts like me can enjoy them. read more

Hummm.....let's see.... there's so many good places to eat in L.A. However, I always tend to forget about Fatburger. If you love hamburgers like I do, you can never go wrong with Fatburgers. The burgers and fries are bomb! This location is small and has a small parking lot. I have no complaints though, the staff is friendly, the food is great, and price is about average. I ordered online one chili fry and 2 shakes. It took me 20 min to get out of there considering fries normally are fast and shakes are too I was annoyed that it took so long especially since I placed the order 10 min before I got there. My fries I ordered with no cheese and no onion and they had cheese and onion on them. The two chocolate shakes had no whip cream for some reason and then the top that they put on the shakes left me unable to put a straw in I needed having to puncture a hole through the top with a pen so I could get the straw in. I will not be returning. Whoever is the manager isn't doing there job considering they're employees aren't reading what people want in their orders and making incorrect standard items like a milkshake. read more

Just order lunch from here for the 4th time today. This is a great fatburger location. Great staff. Professional and polite. My food was perfect. I asked for fries well done, they were always actually well done. I asked for my chili on the side they have never made a fuss or treated me bad because I asked for something specific.
