We have been here about 5 times and it's always fun. The kids love everything about this place and it's a safe environment where they can just run loose without supervision to just be kids. I'm not a fan of the pizza or the sauce they use on the pizza. The fries and chicken fingers taste burnt and that tells me from working in a kitchen that they need to change out the vegetable oil in the deep fryers. If we were still allowed to use lard or animal-based the cooking oil would last longer. As it stands you should get 30 to 50 cooks out of a batch then you can do a 1/2 new and half then you can extend another 50. The food needs to taste better for us to spend our money on and I know the margins on food are razor thin and they make more money on liquor and beer. Children's paradise. Arcade, bowling, theater, pizza parlor. There is even a little pub so the dad's can chill. Theater is pretty sweet. Lounge chairs that recline into a position that is almost grantees you'll fall asleep. Only suggestion: designate the seating in the theater a little better. The pizza here is declining by the visit! We came here for a birthday party while that was fun and all I feel that the service could have been a bit better. Kids Pizza pack: I have notice that the cookies in the kids meal is bigger than the pizza. For kids that might be awesome but as a parent I want more bang for my buck! Pizza: is it me or have the Pizza's gotten smaller?!?! My family has been visiting this location since it opened and the most drastic thing I can say is the pizza are much smaller than they where upon opening. I paid $9-10.00 for a two topping pizza that has very little cheese and toppings but had a ton of sauce. What I was eating yesterday seems more like bread sticks in the shape of a pizza. I will also recommend not ordering to go...I had my pizza home in under 5 minute and the pizza was countertop cold...like it had been sitting there a few hours! At this rate I would have been better off with a hot and ready and saved money! Go forward, I will have to skip out on Fat Cat's pizza not worth the money. read more

I've always been a Harkins person in my two years of living in AZ. The moment I walked through the doors I was created by Laura and was given an absolute best introduction as to what the place offered. I have rarely met someone who was enthusiastic about this place as much as I was interested being a first timer. I have no doubt that this will be my new place to hang out with family and friends. It's a good place for the evening to bowl with the family. It's definitely not all that. Costumer service for sure could improve. We walked in and saw a line so we stood in that line. There were two signs one for movie theater tickets and one for bowling however people were standing in one line. I asked the people in front of me which line are you guys in to which I was told they are taking people from just one line. So we stood in that line and more and more people came behind us and they stood in line to a point where the line started going out the door yeah nobody at the counter said can I help you as clearly as they can see there's a line going out the door. And then other people showed up from the other side and walked straight to the front of the line and started conducting their business. So apparently there were supposed to have been two lines after all. Yet not one of the employees who sees this line of ppl going out the door says anything at all. There is no food service at your lane you have to physically go to the kitchen area to order. We weren't used to that as most places have an attendant at the lanes. read more

I usually dislike this kind of place. I've never been because I figured it was like Dave and Busters. Expensive place for the kiddos to drop a couple hundred dollars into a game so they can trade it in for junk while the adults eat overpriced burgers and drinks. I was pleasantly surprised. I need to explain how I ended up at Fat Cats by first explaining how terrible of an experience I had at AMC. :-) We went to an AMC and stood in line for 20 minutes while people slowly picked seats. (holy crap, this concept is annoying. Gone are the days of just getting there early and finding a decent seat. I guess it would be ok if people were capable of making a quick decision.) By the time we got the front, the only seats left were the handicapped and the cashier was willing to sell us. Luckily before we purchased, she informed us that we would have to sit on the floor. The floor? Anyway...for $14.00 a seat, I'll pass on the movie theater floor. How can you sell floor seats? We ended up going to Fat Cats because it was the only other theater with another late showing. WOW...what an awesome place. We were early so we sat down for some food. $5 appetizers and $3 beers. $9.50 for a movie ticket with reclining leather seats. The theater was clean, great screens and sound, the service was fast and friendly. This is my new go-to place. Dinner and a movie for two for around $40.00 with drinks. read more

We went here for the first time yesterday to watch a movie. The theaters and seating are awesome and the popcorn is delicious. We sat in the back row and I could hear knocking on the wall behind me and I could hear kids talking/screaming a couple of times, but other than that, it's great! The bowling alley looks awesome. I have to say, I was impressed. Glow-in-the-dark miniature golf looks like fun, too. I would suggest that employees wipe down the counters in between customers; it would take two seconds. There was stuff all over them and looked messy. The carpet could also use an occasional use of a push sweeper to keep the carpets looking clean and free of popcorn, You don't want such a great place to start looking like the Superstition Springs dollar theater. It wasn't incredibly busy when we arrived, so these are tasks that could easily be taken care of. Will definitely be back again. read more

Updating my review. This place has become a regular place for my husband and I. We come probably once a week, and usually for the food. Since removing the pizza place, they have changed their food food menu and it's actually very good. We have both ordered many items, and we are always pleased although looking around at what other people have ordered the pizza and hamburgers still are not appetizing. If Sean is working the bar, you will be greeted and served immediately....if it's not him.. you may be waiting. Omgosh I hate to leave bad reviews!!! But come on folks at Fat Cats get your act together!!! My first time going. Bringing my daughter and 2 Grandkids for the first time. We purchased tickets on Fandango but when we first walked in we didn't know where to go or who to give the tickets to... no one was at the front... Not one person said it will be just a second until I asked. Then finally the manager comes up and Tells us what we need. We then proceed to order $34 for food, We get to the ticket taker, he has to interrupt his conversation to answer a couple of questions because again we have never been. We watch the movie spend another $10 on games for the kids and Grandma needs a beer, so I go sit down at the bar..... again at about 2 minutes I have to ask if there is service.... then they peak out from the back and say few minutes... which turned into about 5. Then the man comes out and tells me he was washing dishes. After me giving him a little crap about the wait. Then I decided ,well if I'm that important I guess Fat Cats needs no more of my money. So disappointed in your customer service or wait the LACK of customer service.... I'm not sure I will waste my time or money because your staff cannot seem to be bothered as well. read more

This was my first time here and I must say. It was a great experience !! I love the reclining chairs in the theater ! They have a bar area where you can post up and watch the game and get an ice cold beer !! we tried the VR rollercoaster and it was a BLAST !! this place is a great family fun destination !! Only place we will go to watch movies these days. The theatre is so comfortable with the reclining, cushy, leather chairs. Reason for 3 stars is the food. This food used to be great, but now it seems like each of the 5 times we have come - their oil that they cook with is old or something is off. The fries, chicken, etc are not good anymore. Very friendly staff, great games at a good price, great atmosphere with nice bowling lanes - and a BAR (but bartenders are extremely inexperienced so be careful what your order besides beer :). We will continue to come here for our movie/game experience, but will make sure we eat before we come. read more

I took the kids I nanny in yesterday to go bowling, we had been to this location before on 6/22 with 3 of us bowling. Last time we went, was the first time I had ever been and I was charged 15.93 for one hour of bowling and 1 pair of socks. When we went yesterday with 4 of us bowling and 2 pairs of socks, the lady at the counter said it was going to be 58.08. I was super confused, so I said that the last time we went, it was only around 12 for three people bowling, the lady at the counter said "no it's per person" in a rude tone and then her coworkers chimed in and said "yeah it's always been that way" also in a rude tone. I said okay, because it does say that it is per person on the display, and understand that sometimes people mess up. While I was paying, the lady said in a rather condescending tone "do you want water cups? THOSE are free" which was absolutely not necessary. The money wasn't the issue, and I didn't mind paying the right price, I was just confused because it's not at all what we were charged the last time. When I told the manager he basically said "weird, she's usually nice, I'll talk to her." I've worked in customer service a long time, and the lack of empathy was just not okay. There was no apology for the confusion, and acting like I didn't have money just because I was confused is honestly just rude. read more

We come here about once a month with our kidos. They usually play the arcade games but we tried bowling tonight and was greeted by Josh. He was very accommodating and patient as I asked him for his recommendations and suggestions. All way great and I really appreciate the extra effort he put in to make our experience an awesome one. Went in for a movie because they have great ticket prices. Parking was easy enough. When we walked in the layout was confusing. We didnt know where to go for movie concessions vs food vs games vs bowling etc. The employees were very happy to assist, which helped. The theater was fine. The seats were comfortable but the screen was not as good as the AMC or Alamo. Also the sound felt low. I could hear everyone rustling around, coughing, sneezing, whispering which was frustrating. Usually the movie is loud enough that most of those noises are downed out. I will probably go back now and then but I prefer the AMC on Stapley. read more

We usually go to Gilbert Regal but from time to time go to Fat Cats. It is very convenient and close to our home. I love the comfortable seating, locking in your seats ahead of time, and how good the food taste. The only reason I'm putting a 4 is I realize some people love the bowling, arcade, golf, etc all in one place with the theater. For me, I come in and it is just loud and annoying. I'm going to the movies to chill and just want the theater. That said, I 'm sure others love it. As I mentioned, the actual theater and food are great. read more
