We didn't do a traditional engagement or wedding shoot, so were thrilled Fatima could customize a package based on our needs. She helped us come up with a great plan for a late afternoon elopement ceremony shoot at Leo Carrillo State Park and a sunset shoot right after at El Matador Beach. She went up and scouted the location the day before to make sure we'd get the best shots in accordance with the rhythms of the light and waves that time of year. She found the perfect place for us to do our elopement, overlooking the water, and showed us some really great nooks for more shots right after. At El Matador, she guided us as we frolicked in the waves and danced on the sand for some super fun and intimate celebratory pictures -- and even gave us a few fun instant polaroids in the moment! Fatima is such a fun photographer. Our session with her was like hanging out with an old friend. She was very helpful in that she knew how to pose us during our shoot so we didn't feel awkward at all. Fatima photographed my small wedding in Laguna Beach super last minute! Our original photographer wasn't available so she had Fatima fill in and we're so grateful she was available! Our experience with Fatima was incredible. My normal experience with creatives is a lack of organization, which was not the case here. Fatima scheduled pre-shoot calls with us, she sent us palettes to work with our theme/backdrop, she even did some scouting leading up to the shoot. Fatima is also incredibly flexible. With the COVID situation, she was very understanding and we changed the location and date 2-3 times before finally settling on an indoor space. But that is just part of the story. The thing I loved most about our shoot with Fatima is that she makes it about YOU. You can tell that she is genuinely interested in capturing a STORY that SPEAKS to your personality. She understands that people have different tastes and likes and styles, and she does what she can to tell the story with YOUR aesthetic.
