Honest review! an hour to get food after order was placed and it was definitely not worth the wait or price didn't like anything not recommended, didn't like the flavor combination or taste,most of the food is just drenched in oil and sauces it's just too much of everything also didn't like the hot Cheetos. There are better places with better food quality honestly and more bigger sitting area just the whole vibe was off didn't feel comfortable enough to eat inside as it's pretty small and more people making line or waiting to get food to go its just super overwhelming inside so I took my food to go and at the end didn't not enjoy it. Would not come back it's definitely overhyped. read more

I order from Fatima's ALL the time. The food is delicious & spiced well, the service is always warm and welcoming, and they have gone above and beyond to make sure I'm taken care of. Jose always helps me out, super nice guy and works hard for sure. I recommend 100%. They have a big menu, I personally love the NYC Chicken Over Rice Platter and any kebabs/ shrimp plates. You won't regret it Bonus points because they're open late read more

TL;DR: They have a unique hot sauce (Lebamex) that keeps me coming back, but the frequent gristle in the burritos and wraps dampen the dining experience. 4.5/5 Your Thoughts? 1.5/2 The food, especially the Asada Hot Cheeto Burrito and Shawarma Mix Wrap, packs a lot of flavors. However, both were marred by too much fat and gristle in the meat, which was off-putting. The gyro was just okay, not standing out much compared to other items. The Lebamex hot sauce is exceptional, offering a perfect spicy kick that enhances everything it touches. Expenses: 1/1 Able to pay with debit card. Sauces are a bit pricey, but oh so worth it. Location: 1/1 The staff has been consistently friendly and respectful across my visits, which is a plus. Cool ambiance. Has sports and horror memorabilia. Clean. Wait Time: The wait time can be lengthy, especially when ordering in person or through Yelp, which can be a drawback for those on a tight schedule. Parking has been a challenge on some visits, as the restaurant shares a busy lot with Stater Bros. There's no drive-thru option. We came from Highland Park, near pasadena and ma the drive was qorth c9ming to this place .. Fatima's Grill was amazing . We got to meet the the owners dauther which the name is named after and she is a sweet hearted very welcoming . This was a great place to come to enjoy the super bowl and the the surrounding was great . I recommend this place 110 % to anyone . The cashier Jose was amazing great personality and great service. We were so ready to eat food I forgot to take a picture of it. Let me tell you it was delicious. We got several types of tacos, fries, etc. Nothing did not hit the spot. The service on top of that was amazing, always helping us out as it is a small location. We got a table for 5 of us. Food is a 10 out of 10! I tried a few of the menu: hot Cheetos burrito (steak), asada fries with hot Cheetos, gyro, and tacos de asada (steak with hot Cheetos). My favorite was the burrito and the fries. The meat had good flavor and the balance of flavors was on point. The staff was very friendly and helpful as it was our first time and the young lady suggested we try the asada fries, which did not disappoint. The wait time was quite short. For the amount of food ordered and considering they had phone orders, the wait was minimal. The atmosphere was memorizing as the decoration was a fusion of culture. I ordered take out and I had the shawarma crunch wrap with a side of hot cheetos. Since I ordered take out and I live quite a ways away the food had a little condensation, but still absolutely so good. The meat, the flavors and the Cheetos go so well together. My wife and I happened to be in Downey and were hungry. I had heard good things about Fatima's Grill on Tik Tok. Website looks very well done. But this Fatima's Grill is more of a "hole in the wall" spot despite it being a small franchise chain. It is very interesting inside with lots of pictures, street signs, and license plates from around the world. You do have to order off a kiosk. And the diversity of the menu is a bit overwhelming. I recommend previewing the menu online before coming. They offer Mexican and Halal food, and they mix the two styles, then add American classics into the mix. I ended up getting a Philly Cheesesteak taco and a rice bean and cheese burrito. The Philly Cheesesteak Taco was a-mazing! Beefy cheesy melty flavor bomb. The rice bean and cheese burrito was sub par. Rice seemed store bought and the beans were just ok. Anytime I go to a new Mexican spot an always get a rice bean and cheese burrito and if it's good you know the rest will be good too. So for me, the taco was sooooo good I'm going to come back and order something different. But if this was just a Mexican joint I'd likely not come back. I ended up giving this place 4 Stars because of the potential and because the kid working the counter and bringing out our food was really friendly and a hard worker. Overall I'd say give them a try. read more

I only had this issue when it came to fast food restaurants where they would forget an item.... I didn't think a full restaurant would forget a very simple item, the hot Cheetos.... It was not an over complicated order, only three items.... And having to drive 40 minutes back home and not have the hot Cheetos is absurd... There isn't a trash bin in the restaurant, so when you finish your meal, you can walk away, and they will clean up the rest. Here's what we ordered: - CALI CHEETOS BURRITO (Hot Cheetos, French Fries, Asada, Guac, Sour Cream, Moz Cheese) - This burrito was the epitome of "DANK." It was DRIPPING DELICIOUS, even without their popular Lebanese sauce. The taste brought back memories of my childhood favorites. I just want to start off by saying -- if i can rate above 5 stars, I would! I ordered my meal (California Burrito w/ Birria Meat) off of doordash. My food came hot & ready to eat. It was DELICIOUS! The meal came with two different sauces and the birria consome (soup). The packaging was immaculate -- there were no spills during the delivery process. One of the best LebMex fusion food I have had in a while... the restaurant had a retro pop vibe with chucky dolls on display.. bad boys playing on tv along with vintage number plates on display.. and to top it all the food was fire.. it was definitely a cherry on top.. their viral Cheetos cheesy burger was a hit with me and my daughter.. my husband ordered their Philly torta which was ginormous.. it was a meal deal which came with fries/nachos and a drink of your choice.. this particular location was open till late and the server Hassan informed us it's the original location... they had a wide menu to choose from.. definitely gonna come here again to try out their other items on menu.. read more

Was in the area and the high stars and hype got us in the door. Menu is at the entrance on the wall. No prices or descriptions of the combos or in familiar items. But pictures posted everything looked good. We went with the steak and shrimp fries and chicken kabob and shawarma platter and a bottle of the Lebamex hot sauce totalling $54. The kabob was good, shawarma good but a little over seasoned for my taste. Hummus rice and salad were good and plenty. The steak and shrimp fries had an unexpected sweet flavor. The shredded beef tasted like barbacoa; good but not the flavor we expected, too saucy and overly seasoned. The plates came with I believe a house Lebamex style hot sauce in plastic cups. That was the star of the show. Great sauce. Small tight busy at times parking lot. Good cooked fresh so a bit of a wait. Definitely over priced and over hyped. It's not bad?! read more

They did not have Jamaica to drink, so I ordered watermelon and strawberry Agua Fresca's. When I was given my bag, they forgot to include the drinks, and I had to ask for them. My total was $77 and I regret leaving them an eight dollar tip on top of that. This place is a total rip off.

I like Lebanese quisine and I am a regular customer at Fatima Halal Meat Market, on Florence Avenue in Bell, CA. But that is not the reason I am giving a 5 star review here. Fatima's Grill is like an extension to their Meat Market. I have tried almost every Arab/Lebanese eatery in Orange County and Mr. Ali and his food beats them all. And here's why...Mr. Ali and his staff are very caring and attending to my needs and wants. I sometimes even tell them how I want my food made and they oblige. For the price I pay for the food, this is a quality that I value. Expect the same treatment for yourself also. The quality of the food is home cooked and nothing beats that. The sauces they use, you cannot find them any where else in Southern California. Their spices are not one fits all dishes, like you find in most restaurants today. Their salads, hummus and tabbouleh are all homemade. This gives their food a distinct Lebanese authenticity that I have not found anywhere else, yet.They are small now, but I am hoping for them to grow in the future. But the thing I like the most about these guys is that I can call in advance and have specialized Lebanese foods made for me. For example, grilled chicken, makluba, kibbeh and bulgur. Decided to see what all the hype was about this place. I stood in line for about 45 minutes then I ordered my food. After about 30 minutes my food came. Had their Carne asada burrito. Meat was hard. Taste like they save the left overs from the night before. I asked the owner if I can order something else because the burrito just did not taste right. The guy rolls his eyes and started to argue with me and said "it's an acquired taste you will get use to it." I was a bit surprised he was trying convince me to eat something I clearly did not like. As I was looking thru the menu to order something else this guy started arguing with another gentleman. I think he was a customer from the business next door because Fatimas was really packed and they were probably taking up space from the other business. Looks like this guy has a lot on his plate. Maybe since his business is so popular he should move it to the Promenade where there is clearly more space to handle his clientele. Any ways I guess that gentleman must of upset him so much he forgot about me. To much drama at Fatimas forget this place, it's only a burrito. Fatima's Grill in Downey is one of those spots where the food does most of the talking. It's a Mexican/Mediterranean fusion place, and honestly, the burritos are the bomb! They're different enough from your standard burrito that it actually feels worth going out of your way for. The menu has a lot going on in a good way. Plenty of drink options, desserts, and other items I'd definitely come back to try, but the burritos are what sold me. You can tell they know how to combine flavors without making it feel gimmicky. The inside is pretty limited on seating, so I'd treat this more like a takeout spot than somewhere to post up and eat with a group. Also, customer service could use a little polish. Not the friendliest crew I've come across, but nothing that would stop me from coming back. Overall, the food is legit and the portions/flavors make it a strong 4 out of 5 for me. California burrito -echo park location Fatima's Grill is honestly not worth the price, and I don't understand the hype. About one-third of my burrito was just tortilla, and most of the filling was French fries rather than carne asada. The small amount of carne asada that was included was very disappointing. The meat was tough, difficult to chew, and some pieces were so chewy that I ended up having to spit them out. There were also several chunks that were mostly fat. To make matters worse, the carne asada had almost no flavor. The burrito also didn't have any guacamole. I've had much better burritos from El Flaming Taco Truck on Sunset Boulevard for less money and with far better quality. I regret spending my money on a burrito from Fatima's Grill. If you're looking for a good burrito, I would recommend taking your hard-earned money elsewhere. I can't say enough good things about this place. I've tried at-least 15 different items off the menu and all of them have exceeded my expectations, by far. You can taste the quality of ingredients, the thought process behind them, and the creative thinking behind the dishes. This is the kind of place you share with your friends and family because the food just makes you feel different. Ali really has created a gem of a restaurant with Fatima's. I'm a 45 minute drive from this location and have no problem making the mission to grab a California burrito and specialty fries. It's worth it to me. Also, now that they are franchising, it may be my next investment. I'd invest in whatever Ali is up to. The dude has is all figured out. This is THE PLACE! If you need reassurance, let this be the review that convinces you. I've been coming here for 6 years, even before the pandemic, and it has always been amazing. Ali is the man my brother is the main reason this strip mall does so well. The atmosphere is great, the food is always on point, and the staff is friendly. It feels like going to your brother's restaurant, where you don't have to worry about anything outside. Perfect spot for watching sports, going on a date, or even just hanging out on a rainy day. I recently ordered the shawarma plate, OMG burger, and steak quesadilla. The food itself was solid--flavorful, well-cooked, and satisfying. The shawarma was tender and well-seasoned, the OMG burger had great toppings, and the steak quesadilla was cheesy with a good steak-to-tortilla ratio. However, the customer service left something to be desired. You're required to order through a kiosk, which feels impersonal and inconvenient, especially if you have specific questions or preferences. Oddly enough, they can ring you up manually if you're ordering drinks, which makes the kiosk-only rule seem inconsistent. Service and staff were great and halal is a plus, but the food overall was just okay. Shawarma meat was really, really fatty. For a place that is heavily advertising that it's Lebanese fusion and it has a know-how of shawarma, this was some really chewy and bland meat. For the price, you'd expect they would give some more quality, leaner beef, but it was very fatty. The burger I had was decent and the fries seemed homemade and were excellent. I'm assuming a lot of people like Fatima's because they give a lot of food and they incorporate hot Cheetos into a lot of items so everything looks pretty, but if you do want to try this place, stay away from the shawarma. read more

Great place i am so happy i found this place. My family and I (of 5) only eat halal meat because our religion and usually have to travel around 20-30 minutes going to the restuarants we like. Just to find out that the best restaurant was right under our nose. The Food is beyond good. My son states its the best burrito he has ever ate and he ate alot of burritos from many places. My wife says the rice is perfect and the chicken kabob plate is awesome. They have amazing combination of fries as well like the shawarma piled fries. Already Sent plenty of people here. It's been a while since I've come back to Fatima's Grill (life exists lol). I was on Instagram and noticed There's a lot of new changes of the menu and I was super impressed!! For my epic cheat day, i had the Hot Cheeto Burrito and my expectations were pretty high but this went beyond them. It was so good that I had to go back and pick one up for my brother, who also LOVED his!! Ali is THE MAN!!! He was so nice and welcoming. We are most definitely coming back and telling everyone. The kids in our group were not running around or being disruptive, and we never asked to combine tables ourselves. We only moved tables because we were told we could. Meanwhile, I watched multiple people walk in, order in person, and get their food within 10 minutes. Offering me an agua fresca doesn't make up for wasting that much of someone's time. Communication and organization need serious improvement.
