Six years later and it's still delicious! Got the shrimp burger again and my husband got the shrimp po boy. Service is great. Friendly and inviting. Love the heart and memes posted throughout the restaurant.

We stopped by while staying a weekend in Buxton. The 2 gentlemen working were both very welcoming, friendly and professional. We ordered Eggs Your Way for breakfast. Our food came out very quickly. Eggs were cooked perfectly, bacon was crispy, biscuit was fluffy, and the home fries were delicious as well. The staff checked on us several times to be sure we were pleased with our food. Dining room was fun. Lots of interesting and funny quotes to read while waiting. The place has a beachy, surfer vibe which was perfect for our beach vacation. The ice cream selection looked great. May come back for that later.

Y'all. Best stop I could have made. I was traveling home from NCCAT by myself and not much was open because it was mid-to end March. I'm so glad nothing was open and I found this! The food was on point, came out fast, service was friendly and I was so happy for my trip home.

Glad to try this place we've been seeing for several years, but we usually come in the off season when they are closed. Had a great breakfast! Bacon was on the thicker side, which we loved! Ordered cheese on my scrambled eggs which they left off, but hubby's had the cheese and I would def recommend it. They were just so busy when we were there and all the workers were doing their best so I didn't want to send mine back. Home fries are real potatoes, diced and we added grilled onions. Toast was thicker bread, which I also liked. Biscuits are a premade type, but gravy was good. Would def eat here again. Only complaint is I ordered the tougher parfait based on a picture in another review with strawberries and blueberries and mine came with apples and bananas and I don't like either of those, but I should've asked when I ordered. I did not get a picture of that.

Uhmm, I was afraid walking into this place. I just felt eyes and felt 'out of place". Y'all know what I mean and are not saying. Okay, soooo the food was meh. When it was done, I guess they had run out of to-go bags. The guy dumped out supplies from a to-go bag and placed my order in it. DIGUSTING!! AND it's a COVID pandemic happening. I said my prayers, ate my home fries, and threw everything else away. Yuck!

Disappointing food and unnatural flow (you order at the register and pay at your table).

Good food and prices but the area itself was a little dirty. Probably a good place for fishermen just getting off work needing a quick bite.

We come here every year for the best shrimp and grits we have ever had. If you're in the Buxton area you have to stop in for breakfast.

We were here around 9:30 on a Saturday and waited about 40 minutes, but that flew by because we were able to go sit in their coffee/mimosa bar area and wait to be paged. The vibes in both spaces are pretty classic beach diner. It's a relaxed but busy atmosphere. Our waiter was super attentive and kind and we didn't feel rushed despite how busy they were. I had the Land and Sea Benedict, which comes on a giant biscuit and has fried green tomatoes, eggs done your way, shrimp, Cajun gravy, and bacon crumbles. I am particular about biscuits and this one was excellent (soft without being doughy, appropriately crumbly without falling apart). The tomatoes were super crispy without being overly greasy. My over-easy eggs were perfect, as were the shrimp, and the gravy was excellent. The grits I had with it really lived up to their reputation of being smooth and creamy, with no need for butter. My mom had the "Kitchen Sink" omelet, and very much enjoyed it. The ingredients were fresh and nothing was over or under done, which can be hard with such a variety of ingredients. The home fries that came with it were terrifically crispy. I also appreciate that they make their own hot sauce, as well as the mix for their Bloody Mary (which my mom also loved) I enjoyed my peach mimosa and got a kick out of all of the different flavor options. I'd love to explore their lunch menu too. I'll definitely frequent again next time I'm out this way!

While this is a smaller place there is great outdoor seating to compliment what they have inside. Most importantly, the seating outside is located on the west facing side of the building and it is covered----great protection from the early morning sun so you can enjoy an outside breakfast. Came with a group of five, one kid, and there were options for everyone. There is no waiter/waitress service so you view and select options from the menu and place orders at the register---names are called when ready. Everything worked smoothly and quickly even though this place was very busy. Love that all meals are served in biodegradable plates/bowls. The yogurt parfait was a healthy serving of yogurt, bananas, pineapple, and strawberries---2 thumbs up from the 9 year-old! Adults tried various combinations of there platters and everything was great. Highly recommend the hangover potatoes and the sourdough bread, both very unique. All-in-all, very good value for the quality of food. Highly recommend adding this to the vacation week breakfast options in Nags Head!
