We loved this place when it first opened. The food was wonderful, but I can't finish my entree nowadays. There are a few things that are still ok, but the last three times I've been, the shrimp and fish are over cooked, the sauces watered down and the pastas are undercooked. The boiled crawfish is very good but everything else is mediocre. We have had several dishes there and everything kind of taste the same.

Yuck! Worst spaghetti and meatballs I've ever tasted. I guess that's what I get for going to a seafood place and ordering spaghetti! But, hey it was a special! Why highlight something if you suck at it?! Stick to the frying and leave the spaghetti to the professionals! read more

Clean environment, staff was friendly however meals were entirely overrated. Meal preparation was a minimun of 30 minutes and once it arrived my husband couldn't eat his meal due to the old oil taste. As we were leaving the building he complained of belly cramps. I ordered a half dozen boiled crabs, and they were the best boiled crabs I've had in a long time. The servers weren't the quickest in the world, but after all it was a saturday night, and they were very friendly. I got to watch the longhorns game. read more

I have been to Fatty's in Picayune multiple times over the last few weeks. I must say that their food and service is top notch! I had the blackened redfish as an entree, and the bacon wrapped shrimp as an appetizer. Both were amazing. The owner visited me each time i dined, and was full of plenty of suggestions for both entrees and appetizers. I will be back (many more times). read more

Not very allergy frIendly. My child has celiac , he can't eat gluten. We ordered a salad with out croutons , but got them anyway then waited 20 min for a new salad, and was charged full price and manager never said a word, could care less ,just sat at a table and talked to his friends. Fantastic food, between myself and the wife we've had all the entrées offered. Gumbo is a must have for starters. Salads always fresh and crisp. We generally go for lunch or just after and the wait staff is on point. They are polite and personable but not intrusive or overly chatty. read more

I picked up a to-go blackened chicken caesar salad for dinner tonight. Surprisingly, my food was ready upon my ten minute arrival and was delicious! The main reason that I'm writing this review is because of the service I received. I wish I could have gotten the girls name but she was so kind! She immediately let me know that that's what she always orders (basically giving me a thumbs up, I'm a picky eater sometimes). As she brought my order she added "I put in an extra dressing because that's how I like mine. :)" She was incredibly pleasant and I wish I could have caught her name. Hoop nose ring, long dark hair, basically the only description I can give. The young lady I talked to on the phone was Rebecca? Unsure if that's a separate person. Please give this girl a pat on the back because it's impossible to find sweet & seemingly genuine people in the food service industry. I wasn't convinced we would find excellent food in Picayune, MS being from Louisiana but man did this place blow me away! We had the Bacon Wrapped Shrimp and Boudin Balls for an appetizer and they were a little spicy, but perfect for my families taste buds. We also had a side of hush puppies and they were amazing slightly sweet and perfect! Yum! For our main courses we had the Crab Trap, the Ribeye (which is enormous and juicy) the Mahi Mahi Florentine, and the Shrimp Alfredo... Every single dish on the table was top notch! It was also huge portion sizes we all took a full box home for next day! We had the Banana's Foster Bread Pudding for dessert and it literally melted in your mouth, it was some of the best I have ever had. The kids had root beer floats for dessert and they loved them b/c it's unusual to find those on the menu most places. Our waitress Tiffany was so sweet and had everything covered even before we asked for it. My husband loved the fact that the LSU game was on the big screen!
