Glass Noodle Salad and red curry in the distance.
Angela R.

I knew it would be great because I have been to the sister restaurants. I had the glass noodle salad and garlic beans. Wow! They did not disappoint! We had an early dinner, 5:00. They had a good crowd already!! The service was good and the ambiance was just right! I think I've found my new favor Thai place!!

I love it when a restaurant appeals to multiple senses- sight, smell, taste, etc. This one definitely hits on them all. The décor is aesthetically pleasing with contrasting colors on the walls and ceilings, beautiful furniture and plants all around. It's not the trendy look that more modern places have, but it's a classic ambience that appeals to all ages. The menu is robust with options for every palate and the dishes that come out are equal parts beautiful and tasty. Nothing about it says careless or disinterested. The Thai Chicken Rice soup was delicious and the little chunks of ginger have a way of making my taste buds wake up and stand at attention. Service is slightly subdued and respectful, without being in your face. My friend and I were having a long, drawn out lunch and I think they recognized that and left us alone after checking in and confirming everything was good.

First time at Fav bistro was a great experience! We ordered the cream cheese wontons, which the server said came with 5. She brought us 6 to split between the two of us! It was so thoughtful. I got the pumpkin curry and it was delicious. The rice came in this cute bowl with pigs on it. The space is nice and welcoming, I will for sure be back!

The service was extremely slow. (I don't believe it's the waitress' faults though, they were running around like crazy. I think they may have been short staffed.) and the food was good, but only good.

Our first time dining in at Fav Bistro won't be our last! We arrived early in the evening for dinner and were seated quickly near some lovely, big windows. Our server brought waters and took our drink orders immediately, then returned shortly to take our order. The menu indicated that chicken wings could take a while, so we ordered those for our appetizer. We didn't wait long, though! They came out quickly and were hot, crispy, with a super tasty sweet and sour-ish sauce. For our main dishes, we tried the seafood curry (with coconut milk) and the Kao Soi. Both were incredible, with unique flavors and generous portions. We're so glad this gem is in our very own Holladay neighborhood! We will be back to try more items from the expansive menu and are looking forward to checking out their breakfast, too.

First time here. We enjoyed the Pho and coconut curry soup with shrimp! Being a chicken wing lover, had to try the sticky wings. Very good as well! We had really good service and the place was clean and inviting. Lots to choose from on the menu if you're not sure what mood you're in. We really enjoyed our experience and are looking forward to the next time!

Fav Bistro is one of our favorite spots! I'd highly recommend any of Annie's restaurants, which each have a different spin on taste. We love the steak curry poutine which puts a super unique spin on the dish! I highly recommend the mixed grain fried rice, which comes with large vegetables and an egg, and has a ton of flavor. It is a sweet and romantic spot and the service is always excellent. Grab a cookie to go, as well, as they have super unique flavors and are mouth watering good.

Has anyone ordered take-out from Fav? How was it?

It is excellent.

Is wine available?

If you can get any service, there is discount (i.e. $10) bottles available, but don't look for variety. :)

$17.48 - 1 cone, 1 double-scoop cup, and 1 cup: Golden Passion Fruit, Carmel Cashew & Banana…read moreNutella, Caramel Cashew. We tried to stop here the night before, but the line was about 80 people long. We came back Saturday midday and quickly learned why. While the parking lot was still packed, there was no line once we got inside. And once I started sampling the ice cream, it felt like it was just me floating in the clouds. Across all three flavors, the first thing that stood out was the texture. The Golden Passion Fruit was bright, the Banana Nutella was rich, and the Caramel Cashew was rich. Every scoop was remarkably dense, silky, and creamy. The Golden Passion Fruit was dairy-free, which I'm not entirely sure how that technically qualifies as ice cream. While I have spooned plenty of diary free deserts into my mouth, I have never ordered a dairy free in a commercial creamery so this was going to be a first. But after that first sample, the thought of daily free never crossed my mind. It was dense, rich, smooth, and immensely flavorful. It tasted exactly like the passion fruit I've picked off the trees just minus the seeds. It was bright and was incredibly concentrated. It was outstanding. While this wasn't my order, the person who did order this made the mistake of letting my try their double scoop dish. It was tough to give it back. The Banana Nutella tasted exactly like it sounds. The base was thick, creamy, and custardy with the banana and hazelnut flavors clearly coming through. The Caramel Cashew was also a standout. The caramel brought a deep buttery sweetness while the cashews added a roasted, nutty richness that kept it from becoming overly sweet. In the same dish, those were like rival siblings: they could hang together when they have to, but would prefer the attention be focused solely on them. Scoop sizes were standard and appeared consistent across all the orders. The young crew seemed well trained on portion control and sample limits. They were strictly by the book with two samples maximum. Luckily, someone in my group only wanted one sample, so I was able to claim their unused allocation. I wasn't ready to stop tasting and understand their limits. This may be the highest concentration of cream and dairy richness I've ever experienced in a commercial creamery. The texture was exceptionally dense, silky, and indulgent. As the legend goes - King Arthur had a round table because all the knights were equal. But as we know in real life, some are more equal than others. The Passion Fruit and the Caramel Cashew were definitely more equal, but please don't think the BN was a slouch. All deserved to be on the podium. When you start in heaven, everything else is hell. I HATE ;-) Blacksmith Ice Cream for it may have permanently ruined my perspective on ice cream!

They have some upstairs seating and they know how to control the crowd. It may look busy, but the line moves quick. My favorite flavors are chewy gooey butter-cake and honey-bud. So yummy!! The butter-cake is smooth, creamy, and sweet. While, the honey-bud has those bits of honeycomb in it that just adds a nice texture to it. I always look forward to visiting this place! This location and the one in Bountiful. 1000/10 recommend.

We went here to try something new for dessert and I'm so glad we did. These donuts were delicious!…read moreThey have different sizes, but we got a few different flavors in the small size (6 donuts) and it was plenty for 3 of us to share. Even if it was just me I think the small is plenty big. They have plenty of seating and a fun photo op wall as well. They offer ice cream as well. The workers were nice and it was cool to see them make them in front of us through the glass. I got the Strawberry Shorty that had strawberry chocolate, white chocolate, fresh strawberries, cookie crumble, and whipped cream. It didn't have very many fresh strawberries at all, but it was delicious! My sister got the Funky Monkey that had Reese's peanut butter, milk chocolate, bananas and almonds. It was delicious also! So rich and creamy, I just wish it had more bananas with it. My dad got the Dulce De Leche that had white chocolate, Dulce De Leche filled, banana, and toasted coconut. Like the other two it was delicious! Just wish it had more bananas. We took ours to go and ate them at home. They traveled just fine and were still fresh by time we got home (20 minutes). We all liked all 3 of them and cannot wait to go back and try some different flavors.

The donuts are crispy on the outside with a soft airy inside. I got the goddess and it was absolutely amazing. So sweet. We were planning on going to another dessert place close by but they were closed so it was a happy accident that we came here. Definitely not a place you want to miss.
