Fire the owner. Keep the workers. Pay them more. Move one of two expediters to prep backups and float thru the dining room for customer service. It's a Saturday and you are definitely short one or didn't check what day it is and prep in advance. Several groups walked in and walked out when they felt the stress level. You are going to lose good employees like this. It's also my first time ever walking into Fazoli's or even ordering from you all and I feel like the employees are apologizing a bit more than necessary due to a lack of planning on an owner's behalf. I keep coming back because I almost always get the same thing, the spaghetti with meat sauce and it's always good every time. You're probably thinking that it's pretty hard to mess up spaghetti and meat sauce, but I've had some places mess it up and I know they can get it right here. Sometimes I get the Chicken Parmesan but that is very rare. I like how tomatoey the sauce is and they give you more breadsticks if you ask for it. The service here has always been friendly and courteous. They almost always ask me if I need anything else and offer to get me more breadsticks if you need. If I happen to drive by here at any point, I'm always tempted to come in for some spaghetti. When I was in there today, the staff was going around constantly clearing tables and sanitizing them. This makes me more comfortable knowing that they go around checking for cleanliness. I am definitely a regular here and I hope they keep up the good work. read more

I came with a friend because she had a coupon, and it was just very underwhelming. The food was bland and blah. I really need to start caring about fast food ratings. This is upsetting because I don't get take out often, and the one time I do its well, another reason to keep cooking food at home. I went to the drive through and I could tell that the lady taking my order didn't have english as her first language, she had a thick accent and I was hard to hear/ understand her, thats not the issue at all. As she took my order I asked her to repeat herself once, she did, then I understood, the order went on. Another time when she was asking if I wanted my extra meat sauce on the side or on the spaghetti I couldn't understand so I asked her once again to repeat herself, leaning my head out of my car window to hear better. Then a very LOUD clearly american woman took over her radio to repeat for her and said it very rudely, and like I said loudly. I don't know if she was mad at me or what but she should let the other girl do her job. I at first asked them to put the meat sauce on top, when I got to the window I asked if there was still time to switch it to the side instead of on the spaghetti they said yes, but instead it was just on the spaghetti and on the side. Also the bread sticks were very stale. So yeahhh, go to the one with 4.5 stars, even if its a little bit farther. read more

My favorite fast food Italian in KC! This place is always quick and has never messed up one of my orders which is greatly appreciated. I was in the mood for carbs and had a free dinner reward on my Fazoli's APP so off to Fazoli's with my dear sweet wife. As I was standing in line to order Cristi walked by to deliver someone's lunch. I asked her 'do you need me to taste that for quality control?'. She answered 'NO' before I got out the complete question. My wife says that sometimes I can be a troublemaker or ornery. Decided to finally give it a try during a lunch out...man....it was pretty good! They have the Mon-Fri. $5 lunch deal of pick 2 and if you dinr in...unlimited breadsticks! Omg and it came with a drink. Cheap here and delicious, quick lunch. They got pizza, pastas, soups, and salads. AND BREADSTICKS. lol. The workers were great and food was pretty good. I got the fettucine alfredo and the pasta wasn't overcooked so that was GREAT! Only comment was silverware station was really messy and most silverware were kinda dirty and had food stains on them but thats gonna happen sometimes at some restaurants. read more

Astonished and Overwhelmed at Fazoli's tonight. Felt like eating spaghetti tonight and went to Fazoli's at 12045 Metcalf. I'm partially blind and the cashier took the time to explain the menu and found me exactly the food I wanted and even custom made a salad. Kudos to Christy!! It's amazing that when you are treated with courtesy and respect the food automatically tastes better. Being the CEO of a software company, I might be back to offer Christy a better job. Most people do not expect this level of service at Fazoli's (sorry Fazoli's) and her skills would be worth much more at another company. If there was six stars, I would have given six. Was told when called you were closing at 9 pm for New Year's Eve. Got there at 8:07 pm and was told sorry kitchen is closed Waisted trip to come out this evening. Your sign clearly states 9pm too. On April 2, my husband and I stopped at Fazolis to eat a late lunch. We met the most accommodating and charming waitress named Christy! She took care of every luncheon need we had that day and went out of her way to make us feel welcome at the restaurant. As we visited with her, we discovered that she was not a manager. We would like to see more individuals with her character and personality be promoted to managers! Tried the limited Ultimate Alfredo bowl for this visit. It was a good size bowl of fettuccine, broccoli, chicken, mushrooms, & bacon bits. We devoured our fresh garlic breadsticks (yum) while we waited (short wait) for our dishes. My noodles were cooked perfectly and all the fixings were tasty. However the Alfredo sauce was pretty bland even after I put plenty of grated Parmesan cheese on top of it. I will not order any dishes with just Alfredo sauce again. I will still eat here for the breadsticks and the variety of dishes to choose from. The average dishes are $6.99 and you can add salad, pizza for additional cost. The salads are just your basic side salad so I wouldn't advise ordering it - save from for the breadsticks. read more

My $5 lunch special was delivered to my table in about two minutes. The salad was mediocre, and the ravioli portion size was small. The meat sauce and ravioli were very good, and every eight minutes or so I was offered another delicious breadstick. I recommend the spaghetti and lasagna because the portion sizes are larger. We were pleasantly surprised when we pulled up to Fazoli's on Metcalf! Our order was long and somewhat confusing, but the gentleman on the intercom was so patient! We made changes along the way and he just rolled with it! When we go to the window, the staff were all gloved and in masks, and you could still see their sparkling smiles underneath them! They were super efficient with our huge order and we were home before we knew it. We were all commenting the whole time about how we had forgotten how wonderful Fazoli's really was! I chose fettuccine Alfredo and meat lasagna. Color me surprised that it was actually pretty good. Somehow I expected bland sauces and overcooked pasta but I liked my lunch! I wouldn't compare it to my made from scratch versions, or to those of an upscale Italian ristorante, but for quick McDonalds-priced fare this really hits the spot on a busy weekday. read more

Sometimes you just get a hankering for Fazoli's. I know two people that always oppose eating here so it's not unusual for me to hit this place up alone. I use the drive thru and I always order extra breadsticks. They have on two occasions not given me those extras. I don't make a trip back over it, so I just tear up a little and try to make those two measly sticks stretch all the way through my ultimate sampler platter. When I find myself back there I mention that they really did me wrong last time and they say there's nothing they can do about it. I mean, they give these things out for free when you eat inside, but they won't throw you a fricken bone you go through the drive thru. It was their mistake -- I already paid for them... geez. I keep coming back... gotta check the bag though. I'm just going to go in and sit down and keep asking for breadsticks next time. It's the easiest route. I think they make you go up to the counter now and beg for them. I liked it better when they had the dude with a breadbasket making rounds. My husband picked us up food ToGo from this store tonight. I haven't had Fazolis in about 5 years and we had a coupon, and thought it'd be an easy meal. He brought home salads, meatballs and a pasta a piece for both of us. I found a centipede baked into my pasta. My husband took the container, with the centipede and the rest of my pasta back up to the restaurant. He asked for a manager and was told that it would be a minute because they were busy. He then opened the container to show the cashier the bug and he immediately went to the back. A supervisor came out and asked if we got the food from this store. My husband said, yes, and pointed out that you could see the cheese baked between the bug's legs and provided her with the receipt. They refunded us less than what we spent because the "coupon made it difficult" to refund the amount. The manager never came out to speak with my husband. He knew that he was speaking to just a supervisor because she kept going to the back to confer with someone about the situation. Also, as my husband was leaving he heard the person in the back say to the supervisor, "well we could give them..." My husband just kept walking because we obviously didn't want any gift certificates or food from this business. read more

From the outside it looks questionable as I've never seen a drive thru Italian before. BUT you have to ask for the one and only Johnny Bond. He was outstanding and the service was impeccable. He saw us pull up and asked to valet parked our car. He held the doors and was so polite. While we were standing in line he gave us all shoulder massages. It felt like home!! I had passed by Fazoli's many times, finally tried it on a Saturday evening. Ordered Italian Chopped Salad and Baked Spaghetti. I thought both were ok, the salad is chopped into smithereens and you almost need a spoon to eat it. My criticism of the place is it didn't seem patricularly clean. There was food and trash on the floor, a straw wrapper in the windowsill, and a dishtub sitting out half full of dirty water with dirty rags inside. One of the staff nearly grossed me out of existence when she used one to clean a table. Ruined what could have been a totally acceptable meal. read more
